Chapter 101
Darcy furrowed his brow, clearly feeling a pang of jealousy towards Kyes.
"Why on earth would you be jealous of Kyes?" I thought.
While I was pleased by his affection, this jealousy seemed unnecessary.
“It would be a mistake to think that Marceau and I have the same distant relationship as you and Leshuan,” Darcy continued, his words catching Kyes off guard. Kyes blinked in surprise, then gaped at him, before hurriedly lowering his head.
“That’s certainly not the case, sir,” Kyes replied, his tone flustered.@@novelbin@@
“Good to know,” Darcy responded curtly, the air between them thick with unspoken tension.
"I’ll leave it to Darcy to handle," I thought, remembering this wasn’t the first time I’d witnessed such an exchange. Despite these moments, it was undeniable that the two men shared a bond close enough to trust each other with secrets.
Satisfied, I waved to Darcy. “Looks like we’ll both be busy, so I’ll see you in the evening.”
“Sure,” Darcy agreed with a nod. “But you’ll allow me to drop by to see you in the meantime, won’t you?”
“Of course. I plan on visiting you as well.”
How could I refuse when that beautiful face wanted to come see me? Especially when our feelings were so in sync.
‘…I wish I hadn’t fallen asleep yesterday,’ I mused, regretting that I hadn’t stayed awake longer to spend more time with Darcy.
