Seeing Darcy analyze the situation so coolly made me feel embarrassed about my earlier misconceptions.

I had been foolishly guessing why Darcy hadn’t been able to visit, and now I realized how off-track my thoughts had been.

"And what about Prince Ryan? What was that all about?"

Finally, Darcy asked the question I had been expecting, but with my excitement having died down, I could think more clearly.

Despite our friendship, Ryan was a prince opposing Darcy.

He was also the son of Kies, our enemy, so it made sense that Darcy wouldn’t want to face him.

His voice was full of earnestness.

"So, don’t let him into your home so easily. This house deserves better."

I had never heard anyone describe a house as deserving better, but since the conversation with Ryan had been fruitless, I nodded in agreement.

"Alright."

"And don’t go hugging others so easily either."
