The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband
Chapter 494: How could she forget him
CHAPTER 494: HOW COULD SHE FORGET HIM
Lady Annette entered the room and walked straight to the crib where the newborn was lying. Next to him was a wet nurse and nanny.
"How is he?" She asked. The nanny answered.
"He is fine. The wet nurse just fed him." She answered. Lady Annette reached out to touch the baby. It was her first grandson.
Although she never liked Ariel because she was a village girl who bewitched Kaiden. This baby was still Annette’s blood. She knew Kaiden could not think straight at the moment and if she let this baby die Kaiden was going to regret it later
"What’s your name?" She asked the nanny...
"Giselle, Lady Dowager. I was the consort’s handmaid."
Lady Annette was promoted to queen dowager after Kaiden was made king despite not being the former queen.
Annette nodded. "At least you will be trustworthy. Get his things ready, the little bastard would be with me for a while. I don’t want Kaiden to have any regrets." Annette scoffed then turned to leave.
"Does the prince have a name?" Giselle asked. Annette stopped. In Kaiden’s current situation, he would not be able to name the baby.
Annette sighed. "Cedric seems like a nice name. His name will be Cedric Von Drakkar, the first prince of Draconia, a boy deemed to live without love."
How twisted life was? Of every member of the Royal family Lady Annette was the one person Cedric never bothered to get along with
He grew up knowing his grandmother liked him the least. He never knew why. He also never knew she was the one who technically saved him from his negligent father and scheming stepmother as a baby.
She might have hated the son of the woman who almost destroyed her son, but as a mother, she understood Kaiden the most. That’s why she took Cedric away from the palace for a while if not he wouldn’t have survived his first month

Ariel, as Kaiden knew, had died that day. Elysia, the queen of hell, didn’t even know the true cause of her death the moment she died, nor did she hear her son’s first cry.
She died because of another woman’s envy. Eleanor had successfully gotten rid of the biggest thorn in her eyes.
No one knew the true cause of Ariel’s death. Eleanor made sure to silence anyone with any knowledge and the Flamesworth madam kept her mouth shut to avoid getting involved in the royal family strife
Ariel was buried a few days after her death. Even in death, her beauty was peerless, she didn’t look dead but like a sleeping beauty.
Kaiden was tempted to keep her corpse but had to bury her under the pressure of the court. What he never knew was that Elysia (Ariel) was indeed a sleeping beauty.
The poison Eleanor used was strong but not strong enough to kill a goddess.
It was pitch black, Elysia drew in a deep breath but there wasn’t much air for her lungs. Her eyes only saw darkness.
Finally, the goddess who had been asleep in her body, suppressed by the lies she made herself believe, was awake..
.
Everything came crashing down on Elysia at once. Both memories of centuries she forgot for years and the ones of the past 4 years which would hunt her for eternity
Her eyes welled up with tears, the first emotion that hit her was guilt but it wasn’t targeted towards the man she thought she loved for the past 4 years.
She was hit with so much guilt, the small coffin walls caved in on her.
What had she done?
How could she do such a thing?
Elysia screamed, her hand drumming against the walls of the coffin buried 6 feet under. The first name she called out, the first name she could think of was the one she had been desperately trying to remember all these years.
The name of the man who flashed like a fleeting memory she could not grasp. The name of the man she betrayed.
"RAZIEL!!!" she cried out. The moment she said that name something tore in her. How could she have forgotten his name?
Why?
All Elysia ever had to do was call for him. The man who had been searching for her all these years. The one who could not find the goddess who didn’t know she was lost.
Far away in Netheralis, Raziel heard her voice as clear as day. The air around him went cold he almost couldn’t believe his ears
"Raziel." He heard the cry again. Damael was puzzled why his father went silent.
"Father," he called. Raziel disappeared without a word leaving the first prince of Netheralis more puzzled.
They were busy discussing the investigation of the assassination of Elysia. The queen of hell was believed to have died that night in the storm but her body was never found.
Raziel never believed Elysia died; he could never accept, despite all the claimed evidence. All these years, he searched the human realm but could never find any glimpse of her.
As if fate were playing a joke on him, he never even saw the wanted posters. If he did, maybe he would have found her earlier or would have had a clue she was in Draconia.
What Raziel never understood was? If Elysia was alive somewhere why didn’t she ever call out for him? Why couldn’t he ever sense her presence till now? It was like a veil had blinded him all this while.
He rushed to her side and appeared by the grave named: Lady Ariel Von Drakkar. He could hear her voice clearly. Why was she buried? The entire Vitalis was shrouded in a very dark violet aura.
If not for the fact that Raziel was bound by a covenant, the capital of Vitalis would have disappeared that night.
A thunderstorm struck, and heavy rain poured in the middle of summer. The water banks overflowed that night. Kaiden sat by a window next to the fireplace, watching the storm, drowning in his sorrows and alcohol.
"Ariel," he whispered. He didn’t know why he suddenly had the urge to see her grave and that’s what he did. The king left the palace in the storm on a horse rushing to her grave.
In the storm, he saw two blurry figures standing next to the grave, and he could have sworn it was his Ariel. "Ariel!!" He called out in disbelief. Maybe the rain was playing tricks on him
Raziel heard his voice, his grip on Elysia’s unconscious body tightened. If not for the fact that he had a beloved unconscious in his arms, he would have killed the man whose scent lingered on his WIFE.
He didn’t have the luxury of time and disappeared before Kaiden got close enough to see them properly in the storm.
They disappeared with the storm. By the time Kaiden got to the grave, there was nothing amidst. He jumped off the horse and stood before Ariel’s grave which was the way he remembered it
He fell on his knees under the rain facing the tombstone. He was losing his mind. That night something permanently died in him. The cold-hearted king was born in that storm.

Ariel’s eyes fluttered open. The familiar ceiling covered with paintings and intricate carvings appeared in front of her.
Her eyes grew wider, and she quickly sat up against the headboard. Her eyes stung, recognising the room and walls she had missed and desperately tried to remember.
"Raziel," she muttered. Her hands clutched the sheets. He didn’t appear immediately. Her heart squeezed. Was he mad at her?
"Raziel," she called again. The room grew cold and that addictive scent hit her. Her stomach fluttered, It was the smell of her home. One she was too guilty to face.
Raziel materialised by her bed, completely drenched. His arms clenched to his side. Her
feet moved on their own, and she ran to him, throwing herself in his arms.
