The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband
Chapter 558: The main character.
CHAPTER 558: THE MAIN CHARACTER.
Once again the room shifted.
"The Nightshade estate." Callista gasped. She had never been here officially, but she recognised the halls.
"Yes, tomorrow is her wedding to Cedric. She has to die today. Can you do that?" The hooded lady said. The door next to them creaked open, and a vial appeared in her hand. Callista was a skilled priestess and immediately knew it was poisoned.
Her feet moved on their own and she entered the bedroom. Lying on the bed was Abrielle, she was sleeping peacefully in her bed without a care in the world.
Callista’s throat went dry and she opened the poison. Her eyes are bloodshot. Her mind screamed for her to do it, but her heart found it difficult to take a life, even if that person was her nemesis.
A cold chill ran down my spine, her voice next to her ear. "Don’t hesitate. Your grandmother didn’t hesitate when she threw you out." She reminded Callista of watering the seed of hatred already planted there.
Callista’s hand trembled, her eyes stung. She didn’t want to do this. It screamed against everything Lucy had thought her but yet. Why was she the one to suffer?
She drew in a deep breath, and a drop fell from the bottle, slipping through Abrielle’s lips.
Callista held her breath; she had just killed someone. Her heart started drumming. Abrielle’s lips parted and she gasforfrom airifs it she was struggling to breathe.
The struggle was short, her eyes popped open until her heart beat slowed down. Her eyes slowly turned dull.
A cheerful clap echoed by her side. "The pure female lead finally has blood in her hand." She cheered, not minding Callista.
Callista glanced at the hooded lady, her brows furrowed. She had indeed killed someone. She was a murderer. "How does it feel?" The hooded lady asked her
Callista’s frown deepened, then she parted her lips. "I don’t know." She answered and the hooded lady went silent as if she was trying to decipher what Callista was thinking.
The priestess’s frown remained on her face, then she glanced at the dead Abrielle. She didn’t feel anything..just numb.
She wasn’t happy that she had gotten her revenge, nor did she feel terrified. It was like inside her hand died years ago
The hooded lady held her hand, "That’s your first step in revenge, but we have one thing to do. We must make sure the other half is also dead, if not, everything you did was for nought." With that being said, the room changed again, and they appeared in a place Callista could not recognise.
Not even in her wildest dreams. She jolted then fell on the ground. Her eyes were wild in surprise. "Stand up before you draw attention." The familiar voice which has been taking her through this thrilling ride.
"Where are we?" Callista finally asked, staring at the tall buildings, way bigger than the largest cathedral. Bright lights and strange machines running on the road.
The hooded lady squatted before her. "No one can see me." It was a simple warning. Callista’s eyes darted around the street and she realised everyone was giving strange looks as if she were some type of psycho.
She awkwardly stood up and then dusted her butt. She was still amazed by everything. She wondered if it was a bizarre dream or the future.
"Just follow me. Once the other half of her soul is dead we all win." She chimed, her red lips parted and Callista saw that grin which made her blood cold.
Callista was led by the hooded figure through this stranded world. Her head was bowed to avoid eye contact, and her clothes covered her face.
The sky rumbled and it started to rain. Next to an apartment building she waited for someone she didn’t even know. The whispers from her ’ Saviour’ kept on explaining things.
What Callista understood was that Abrielle, the girl who stole her life, and Hazel, the girl who predicted her life in a novel, were connected. The only way she can have her revenge on Abrielle is if she destroys both ends of the connection.
The rumbling sound of a motorcycle drew close. "She is here." The hooded lady chimed. Callista opened her eyes and then watched Hazel appear. She was excited all smiles and had no idea what to do
Callista’s hand clenched around the weapon the hooded lady gave her. "All you have to do is pull the trigger I will handle the rest." She said.
Callista stood up and then stalked towards Hazel. Hazel sensed her. Their eyes met.
Hazel was trying to figure out who she was. "That’s right, raise your hand." The hooded lady urged. Callista listened she raised her hand. The hooded lady steadily held her hand. Then guided her to pull the trigger. Her lips were repeating the words.
"This is what you deserve, midnight queen."
"That’s right pull it and end her." The shot rang, and Hazel fell back from the impact of the rain. Callista walked towards her. Hazel struggled to breathe. The rainwater was washing away her blood on the pedestrian lane.
"Awwn she is struggling to breathe. " She gleefully said. Hazel could see her only Callista could.
Her lips parted as if she were trying to ask why. The sky continued to rumble drenching her.
Everything spun once again, and she was back in Theodore’s room. "Lucian will be here soon." The hooded lady informed her. Callista wanted to ask who Lucian was.
"Don’t worry, everything will be fine. You won." With that being said the door burst open. Her head snapped to the door then their gaze met.
His gold eyes stole her breath. It was love at first sight. His elegant brows furrowed. "Are you his mistress?" He asked.
Callista’s eyes grew heavy and she started crying. Her knees went weak as if everything was crashing down. It was exactly how she had predicted but this time Callista had changed her fate.
There was no villain. Lucian, confused, his body moved on its own. He didn’t know why his mind screamed to comfort her.
Callista thought she would have the perfect life but then a blue screen appeared before her.
