The Villianess story: A 100 ways to kill your husband
Chapter 561: Maximus
CHAPTER 561: MAXIMUS
Alfonso had decided to switch sides one day after he overheard a conversation he wasn’t meant to. To discover that Eleanor was behind the sorcerers had his bones cold, and worst, they decided to frame his mother.
His first thought was to contact Cedric, which seemed difficult, but he coincidentally came across Zoltana.
Zoltana’s gaze was locked on the dark sky before she glanced at Alfonso who was helping Silvanius. A weak smile hung on her lips.
She remembered when she gave him those warnings. Zoltana slowly approached Abrielle with a heavy heart. Her body was cold and covered with blood.
"We should leave before the palace crumbles." Alfonso’s voice echoed. Zoltana felt someone hold her shoulder, and she glanced over at Silvanius, who was watching Abrielle with complicated feelings.
The daughter he had just got to know was already dead now. He crouched down and carried her dead body in his arms. Then turned towards Alfonso who was supporting the unconscious Lucian.
Zoltana rushed to his side and they started to find their way out of the destroyed courtyard where the battle had taken place.
The palace shook, the walls already falling apart from the waves of Cedric’s power. Zoltana has never felt something like this.
"He didn’t even need an army," Silvanius said. Looking at the aftermath of Cedric’s rage. It looked like a butcher’s place. They managed to get out of the endless walls of the palace, but once they got outside. They stopped despair written on their faces
They weren’t the only ones lost and waiting for death. The entire Vitalis had already come to a standstill.
Large waves were approaching the city. A tsunami that could bury the entire city.
"He is going to bury us all with her." Alfonso laughed and Silvanius’s grip on Abrielle’s body tightened. He wasn’t scared of death
He was concerned for Cedric who had descended into madness. He was going to destroy the kingdom he desperately fought for.
Elias was elsewhere in the city, standing next to a window, watching the large wave approach. A smile etched on his lips
He was glad, at least he kissed her before he died. Elias glanced at the sky, it was completely dark. Today was meant to be Lucian’s coronation, the beginning of a new era, but it turned out to be the end of the mighty Draconia kingdom..
At the cathedral, stunned nobles who were waiting for Lucian stood outside, stunned, watching the large wave of water coming.
.it looked like a large wall reaching the sky. Worse running was no use, that wave would even cross Vitalis
Bernice started, her face paling while holding her elder sister’s hand. "Lucian," she blurted wondering where he was at a moment like this.
Nobles from all over the kingdom were in Draconia, if this disaster killed them today,
The great Kingdom would crumble. "I guess this is the end." Rebecca blurted, then glanced at her completely pale husband. Sebastian watched with a clenched jaw then turned to the dark sky
It was noon, but outside was dark as night. Heavy storm clouds covered the city, and anyone who possessed magic could sense the source was up there.
Who was this monster?
Among the dark clouds, lightning flashes. Cedric stood, his large black wings flapping slowly behind him. His black eyes watched closely. "Burn," he whispered.
There had to be fire for the water to quench. Black lightning started to strike, creating havoc. The first one struck the palace, the place where it all started.
The palace was engulfed in blazing black flames. Next, he glanced at the seaside castle. The place which held many memories. Lightning struck, shattering whatever he had left of her..
It was a matter of time before everyone who caused them pain would join them. "Stop this madness." He heard a strange voice command.
The weight in the voice made him know immediately it was a divine being. Great, they were here. The ones who created the rules..
Cedric glanced at the source of the voice. He was a man he had never seen before, but he seemed irrevocably familiar. Silver hair, purple eyes and a pair of gold wings.
"Why should I stop?" He smirked. "They should all die."
Maximus smirked. This seemed all too familiar to him. "Because you will regret this later. Elaris will make you pay with blood. Divine beings aren’t meant to interfere with the mortal world." Maximus explained, his cold violet eyes holding Cedric’s gaze
He was amazed at how the young man could bear so much power. "Do you think I am scared?" Cedric scoffed. "She is already dead."
"I understand how you feel but this would not bring her back. Abrielle won’t like this." Maximus tried to reason..
Cedric’s jaw clenched. "Don’t you dare tell me what she likes? Who are you to?!" Cedric barked, and in the blink of an eye, he was before Maximus.
Maximus’s eyes flashed. He wasn’t the god of strength for nothing. Their swords clashed. The mere impact of two divine beings fighting caused an earthquake
"As the founder of the kingdom, I have every right after all, I am your ancestor," Maximus said through his gritted teeth. Cedric laughs. He had heard the legend of the Von Drakkar family being descended from Maximus but the god abandoned them.
"The said one who abandoned his children. Leaving his responsibility to Nyxoria." He scoffed and then pushed Maximus backwards. They clashed again.
The god was sincerely amazed at the fact that Cedric, being part mortal, had this much divine power. This was going to be a long fight.
No matter what, he would not allow history to repeat itself. He smiled at the mad 8 prince of Netheralis.
"The second prince of Elaris has always been reckless but I have to stop you." He declared. Yes, he degraded himself, a powerful god, leaving as an animal to avoid his responsibility.
He knew if Cedric’s story ended here, his story wouldn’t have a second chance.
Vitalis shook from their battle. The tsunami inched closer. Maximus’s eyes narrowed. He had to stop this soon.
