Chapter 128 - 128 105 Slave to the Thousand-Year Fire Settle
Chapter 128: Chapter 105: Slave to the Thousand-Year Fire, Settle the Debt (4317)!_3 Chapter 128: Chapter 105: Slave to the Thousand-Year Fire, Settle the Debt (4317)!_3 After the Fire Demon came to his senses and prayed, he suddenly turned his head towards the direction where Ivita and the Old Witch were.
Ivita had a bad feeling about this.
The Old Witch was startled too. Such a behemoth, covered in flames, capable of igniting her magic power, staring intently at them – it was particularly horrifying.
“Sire, do you think this is a coincidence? Why is the Fire Demon continuously staring at us?”
“A coincidence, it must be a coincidence.”
“I-I…”
Ivita felt a sense of dread.
Then, the Fire Demon roared angrily, “Offspring of the thief!”
“Descendants of the fire thief, how dare you appear here, in front of me. My eyes are the eyes of the Thousand-Year Fire. Through my eyes, the Thousand-Year Fire knows the past, present, and future.”
“You dare to appear before me.”
“As long as I kill you, I can atone for my sins, and escape the flames. My soul could escape from the Thousand-Year Fire.”
In the midst of the Fire Demon’s fury, a hint of sanity returned to his eyes, only to be clouded once more by primal rage.
His power seemed to increase tremendously, even the vajra chain on his back was being pulled by his immense strength.
Mysterious symbols appeared on the surface of the chain, indicating it was not just an ordinary object.
The Fire Demon got back on his four limbs. This terrifying creature was the most powerful monster Ivita had ever encountered in this world, second only to the Pan God.
Yet, Pan God at that time was suppressed by the Law of the Thousand-Year Fire, incapable of displaying his power.
What he now faced was a Fire Demon controlled by the Thousand-Year Fire.
This time, he had no backing them up.
The Old Witch started to panic. “Sire, it’s charging towards us! It’s unstoppable, like a shooting star.”
“What can we do!”
The Old Witch tried to use Water Magic to stop it. But she was not a Lower Burgundian, the Water Magic evaporated before it could even approach due to the high temperature in the air.
“Ah-ah-ah…” The Old Witch screamed out of fear.
Ivita stretched his arm, and a bolt of lightning fell upon the Fire Demon’s head, piercing it, but the Fire Demon didn’t care less about the thunderbolt.
The body made of flames ignored the paralyzing effect brought by the thunderbolt.
The Fire Demon roared like a wild beast, there was no hint of sanity left to express its desires. “If I kill you, I will break free.”
“You…” Ivita didn’t get the chance to finish his words, as a spew of flame appeared under his feet.
The flame rose rapidly, transforming astonishingly into a gigantic eight-headed Fire Python.
The eight heads of the Fire Python bit onto the charging Fire Demon, managing to hold its own for a while.
The Old Witch was amazed. “Sire, is this advanced Fire Magic of yours? It at least has the strength of a High-Level Witch.”
Ivita shook his head, “It’s not mine.”
“It’s mine.” A woman in a cold, black wedding gown appeared behind Ivita, “Nice to see you again, descendants. Don’t doubt it, the coincidence has occured once more. You and I are standing before the Thousand-Year Fire again.”
“I didn’t expect this, you and the Thousand-Year Fire really have a bond.”
“Hmm, the Fire Demon seems to be taking it out on me. After all, I was the one who stole the flames.”
“I didn’t expect this. After so long, I still can’t escape the consequences of my own actions. I have to pay my debts in the future.”
“Ivita, it’s been a while. It seems that the Thousand-Year Fire has chosen you. It’s testing you. It has probably chosen a few others.”
“Not many are likely to pass the test, most of them are probably dead.”
Ivita’s face was strange, what does she mean?
What does being chosen mean?
And what is the test?
