bChapter /bb431 /b

bAfter /bworkb, /bJessica watched Sana approach her hesitantly, carrying a gift bag. There wasn’t a trace of surprise in her eyes.

b“/bFrom Brian?” Jessica asked, though her tone made it clear she already knew the answer,

Sana looked even more embarrassed. “Jessica, you already know.”

She figured the receptionist must have reported everything to Jessica. She knew there was no way she could hide anything from her, but bBrian /bbhad /binsisted she deliver the gifts anyway. Now look what happened.

Sana took a deep breath and spoke quickly. “Brian came by this morning with several sets of Atkinson Group’stest makeup collections. He said he wanted me to give them to you.

“I didn’t want to take them, but he just left them there and walked away. I looked up the reviews online and they were really good, so it seemed blike /bba /bwaste to throw them out. That’s why I brought them up here.

“Jessica, if you don’t like them, I can go throw them all away right now!”

‘I’ll just set a bunch of rmster and try to snag some online,’ Sana thought. ‘I absolutely can’t let this make Jessica upset.’

Sana exined everything that had happened from start to finish, and her whole body rxed once she bgot /bit all out. She stood there holding the two makeup sets, quietly waiting for Jessica’s response.

The office fell silent for a moment.

Jessica let out a soft sigh before speaking. “Just bring them over here. Why throw away something that’s so hard to get your hands on?”

She had obviously been following Atkinson Group’stest product releases and had even tried to ce an order herself. She just hadn’t managed to snag anything either.

Unlike Sana, though, Jessica didn’t have that burning need to own it, so after failing to buy it, she had simply moved on.

“Oh thank goodness you’re not mad, Jessica! This stuff really works amazing,” Sana said, her eyes lighting up.

She immediately walked over to Jessica with the sets and started chatting about skincare tips. She was just as curious about Jessica’s skincare secrets as all the other employees were.

Jessica patiently chatted with her topletely ease her worries.

The situation between her and Brian shouldn’t drag innocent people into it anyway.

Jessica and Sana got so caught up in their conversation that they were still talking as they walked out after work ended. They only stopped when they ran into Wesley, who was waiting to ambush them again. Sana immediately mmed up.

“Hey, you guys are getting off work. Do you have any ns tonight?” Wesley asked with a smile as he greeted them both.

Jessica nced between the two of them with obvious curiosity and grinned. “I don’t have any ns, but I don’t want to be ba /bbthird /bbwheel /bbeith /btake your time.” She waved goodbye and walked off with her purse, lookingpletely unbothered.

“Jessica, wait for me!” Sana called out, ready to follow her without a second thought. But Wesley stepped sideways and blocked her pathb. /b

b“/bbI /bdon’t need one!” Sana refused without hesitation. When she spotted some early–rising neighbors heading out to buy groceries, she quickly squeezed past them bto /bshake hint off.

Wesley still had enough pride not to make a scene in front of strangers, so he didn’t chase after her this time.
