Sana’s fork crashed onto the table with a loud noise. But she couldn’t care less about picking it up.

“I just happened to be here for dinner and ran into you. Looks like we’re meant to be,” Wesley said casually, making up the excuse on bthe /bspot
Sana red at him and ground her teeth. “You think I believe that?”
Wesley calmly waved over a server to bring him silverware and turned back to her with apletely innocent expression. “Why wouldn’t you believe
me?”
His shameless attitude made Sana so angry she almost flipped the table. She tried to hold back but finally couldn’t take it anymore. She shot to her feet and pointed toward the door. “Get out! I don’t want to see you.”
Wesley didn’t even blink at her furious outburst. “Look, you’re eating alone and I’m eating alone. Why don’t we just keep each otherpanybi? /i/bBesides, it’s your birthday today. If I leave and you have to eat by yourself, that seems pretty cruel.”
“I don’t need you to worry about me, you bastard!” Sana shouted in rage.
She was in this situation because of him in the first ce. If Wesley hadn’t kept bothering her all the time, she wouldn’t be sitting here eating alone right now. She should be celebrating with a bunch of good friends in a private room somewhere.
Instead, Sana had no friends left and the guy who caused all her problems was here acting like he was doing her a favor. The whole thing made her
furious.
“Keep your voice down. You’re disturbing other people,” Wesley said gently as he arranged his silverware.
Sana noticed the stares from nearby tables. Even though she was still angry, she reluctantly sat back down, feeling defeated.
Wesley was right. She shouldn’t let her personal problems ruin other people’s dining experience.
“Need me to help you with the sauce?” Wesley’s gentle voice broke through her thoughts, reminding her that he was still there.
“I can do it myself,” Sana replied curtly, grabbing the sauce containers and making a mess of mixing them together,
Wesley started to say something several times but held back each time.
Sana took out her frustration on the sauce, mixing it aggressively. When the meat finished cooking and she finally took a bite, she realized the sauce tasted awful. Her mood sank even lower.
‘I’m such a failure,‘ Sana thought. ‘I can’t do anything right.’
“Use this one instead. It’s clean,” Wesley said, sliding a perfectly mixed bowl of sauce toward her. Before she could protest, he took her botched sauce.
away.
She watched in shock as Wesley picked up a piece of meat and dipped it into her terrible creation. “Wait, don’t! That one’s ruined,” she said, trying to stop him.
Wesley calmly ate the meat and considered the taste. “You’re right, it’s not great. Way too salty. But it’s edible enough.” He continued eating, methodically working his way through piece after piece of grilled meat until he’dpletely finished off her badly mixed sauce.
