“You won’t be able to get a taxi, and it’s toote for me to feelfortable letting you ride alone anyway,” Wesley said

    casually.

He reached over with one hand to open the car door, then gently lifted Sana into the passenger seat and leaned across to buckle her seatbelt before walking around to the driver’s side.

Sana sat perfectly still in the passenger seat, watching the man beside her as he fastened his own seatbelt and gripped the steering wheel with one hand. Her heart was pounding hard against her ribs. ‘He’s so handsome,’ she thought.

Wesley noticed her staring, and his eyes shed with something unreadable. He hit the gas and smoothly reversed the car

    in one fluid motion.

Sana wanted to look away but found herselfpletely unable to do so. When Wesley picked up speed, she couldn’t help

but focus all her attention on him.

There was something different about him when he was driving fast–a confidence and energy that waspletely different from his usual self. He was so captivating that she couldn’t tear her eyes away from him.

Later that night, lying in bed at home, Sana still couldn’t get the image of Wesley’s effortless control of the steering wheel out of her head. She kept reying the memory over and over, and each time her heart would race all over again.

‘This is the man I like,‘ she thought.

‘No!‘ Sana thought and suddenly sat up in bed. ‘What am I thinking? This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.‘

Sana used to have feelings for Wesley, but she’d made the decision to forget him over a month ago. With her personality,

she shouldn’t still be hung up on him after all this time.

‘Was it because we’d slept together that made it so hard to get over him? What am I supposed to do about that?‘ Sana

    wondered.

Sana used to think sleeping with Wesley was a win for her, but now that he was constantly bothering her, she couldn’t stop

    regretting it.

‘If I’d known things would turn out like this, I never would have slept with him,‘ Sana thought. But what was done was

done–there was no point regretting it now. She needed to figure out how to fix this mess.

Sana rubbed her chin, thinking through the whole situation, when suddenly her eyes lit up.

‘I get it! So what if we’ve slept together? I could just go to a bar and find someone for a new one–night stand,’ Sana

    thought.

If one night didn’t work, she could do it a few more times. Maybe sleeping with other people would help her move on.

When Wesley found out, he’d probably stop bothering her too. After allb, /bdoctors usually had a bthing /babout bcleanliness/b.

The next morning, Jessica noticed the dark circles under her eyes and couldn’t resist teasing her. “Looks like bsomeone’s /bgot luckst night.”

“Jessica!” Sana protested, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

“Alright, I’m just messing with you. Did you finish working on those data files I gave you?” Jessica dropped the teasing and picked up a folder, switching straight to business mode.

Sana immediately fell into work mode too, opening her own files and starting her report.

After that, Jessica dragged her into a morning meeting, and before they knew it, half the morning had already flown by.

Back in her office, Jessica found herself ncing toward the door without thinking. She was getting hungry and wanted some pastries. ‘Why hasn’t he shown up today?‘ she wondered.

“I’ll go check if Mr. Atkinson has arrived,” Sana said, noticing Jessica’s distraction. She turned to leave.

“Get back here! Who said I was waiting for him?” Jessica snapped back to reality and shouted without thinking.

‘Was I being that obvious?‘ Jessica thought, frowning. ‘Or has Brian beening by so often that even Sanab, /bwho usually can’t stand him, has gotten used to his presence?‘

Sana froze in ce, her mind racing as she frantically tried to figure out how to fix this awkward situation. Just then, the office door suddenly swung open from outside.

“Who are you guys waiting for?” someone asked at the door.
