“I’ll wait then. Like I’m scared of you,” Lillian shot back without hesitation.

Sabrina, watching the fun and not minding adding fuel to the fire, put a hand on Connor’s shoulder and chuckled, “Connor, go for it. Win, and I’ll let you sleep in the bed.”
She didn’t blush at all as she leaned down and pecked Connor on the lips.
Connor perked up like he’d been injected with adrenaline. “Sabrina, just watch. I’m definitely winning this hand,” he said, ying his cards quickly.
He thought, ‘No one’s keeping me from getting back into Sabrina’s bed.’”
“Hmph, we’ll see about that,” Chase snorted, quickly calcting and ying his cards too.
Chase and Connor’spetitive spirits were fully ignited. They went back and forth, the tension thick in the air, leaving the other two men with no way to join in.
Sabrina watched the cards for a bit, found it boring, and went to chat with Jessica.
They talked about work, life, and pregnancy tips. They hit it off surprisingly well.
Brian noticed, and when he yed his next few cards, he deliberately fed Connor good ones.
Brian thought, Jessi’s friends are my friends.’”
Connor caught on right away. He mouthed a “thanks,” and his gaze drifted to Sabrina, who was chatting with Jessica.
He thought, ‘Sabrina rarely has this much to say to someone. Seems this show is really worth joining
“Tsk, you lost again. Told you that you weren’t up to it.” Lillian couldn’t help but gloat as Chase made another false call.
Chase was so mad that he could’ve exploded. He turned and snapped at her, “Don’t be such an idiot!
He thought, Couldn’t she see Connor and Brian are clearly ganging up on me? And she still says I’m not up to it. It’s infuriating! Honestly, why is Brian suddenly feeding Connor cards?
Connor’s skills were already on par with Chase’s With Brian helping. Connor was even more unstoppable. Once Chase realized, he’d thought about finding a helper too.
But looking at Spencer, who was staring at his cants with a fake, thoughtful look, Chase just felt pure disdain

Chase thought, ‘Useless. I fed him obvious cards, trying to get him to block Connor, but he didn’t even notice. What a waste of all my card–counting effort.
“Who are you calling an idiot?” Lillian red up at being called an idiot.
She thought, ‘How am I an idiot?‘
“Obviously, you. Whatever, I’m not wasting my breath.” Chase was fed up, tossed out the words, and started shuffling the cards.
He found Lillian annoying, and she thought he was unbearable too.
The new game began. Lillian, still holding a grudge over Chase calling her an idiot, made a point of talking to distract his focus. It made Chase lose even worse. With the gap in wins against Connor growing wider, the mood around Chase turned icy.
Jessica watched and shook her head. She thought, “Typical young couple, always finding ways to stir things up.
“False call. Looks like I won this game. Thanks, everyone,” Connor smiled near the end, showed his cards, and said cheerfully.
“Congrattions.” Brian was as gracious as ever and went back to checking on Jessica.
Chase sat with a dark face, saying nothing. The polite smile on Spencer’s face faded a little.
In the live chat, Vanessa’s and Spencer’s fans somehow started arguing with Chase’s fans.
One side imed Vanessa and Spencer were faking their “loving couple” act and weren’t a real couple. The other used Chase of having a bad temper, suggested he might be abusive, and said he and Lillian would break up sooner orter.
While their idols shed at the table, the fans fought it out online. It got so heated that the argument made it to trending topics, though not in a good way.
Raymond watched it, growing anxious. He knew things couldn’t go on like this.
