Whilst Seth was talking with Rania, congratulating her on helping him with his discovery and giving her a gift for inspiring this revelation, a small part of his mind was still in control of Corvus.

It always was, at this point, his mind had grown strong enough with all of his evolution that, in the state he was now, Seth was essentially living two lives. He had grown so used to living life through two sets of eyes, that he genuinely had trouble remembering when it wasn't like this.

So when something strange appeared in the corner of Corvus' eye, Seth didn't even blink as his separated mind turned its attention to this sight. It was this ability to exist both inside and outside of the shop at the same time, that Seth was able to see the colossal boulder careening through the air towards them like a run away train, thankfully spotting it before it crushed them into paste.

As he was shouting for Rania to get down, and tackling her to the ground, he was also cocking back Corvus' arm and lashing out with a mana fuelled punch. The boulder shattered into pieces as it slammed into Corvus' reinforced fist, scattering large chunks of stone all throughout the streets, including through the wall of the shop.

While these chunks still destroyed buildings and carved deep trenches into the road when they landed, it was nothing compared to the damage the original would have done.

Although these boulder bits easily crashed through the buildings like they were made of tinfoil, they bounced harmlessly off of the viscous substance that made up Seth's black blood shell. He kept his arms wrapped around the Egyptian crafter, using his body as a shield to protect her from the deadly debris.

Not just the rocks that were sent flying, but from the fragments of building that came crumbling down on top of them

Once the building finally settled, Seth rose to his feet and unwrapped his arms from around Rania, as the black blood retreated back into his body where it belonged. Helping her to her feet, he glanced over his shoulder at the new window that had been created in the wall, Seth spoke in a low voice.

"You need to get to the defence bunker, now."

Rania didn't argue with the orders she was given, simply nodding her head and quickly scrambling to her feet before dashing out of the shops back door. She didn't look back for Seth, not because she didn't care, but she knew from his attitude and his place as the Lord's personal squire that his place was at his masters side.

Plus... she could practically feel the intensity leaking out of him in that moment and knew that she wouldn't even be able to drag him away if she tried. So, she ran without hesitation towards the defence bunker alongside all of the other civilians in the area.

The defence bunker that she was running to was a building specially designed for situations such as this. It was one of the first things that Seth had built, mostly using puppets in its construction.

It was made of the best material he had and reinforced through various abilities. They had puppet guards both inside and out of the building, to not only prevent frontal attacks but combat infighting between panicked civilians and stop any attacks that could bypass physical defences.

He had learned from the shadow puma attack and refused to let anyone die from being locked in with a teleporting menace, just like his teacher had been and what led to his death, alongside the death's of so many others.

It wasn't the best solution possible, but it was the best Seth could do at the current moment with what he had on hand. Plus it was better than punching a beast through a crowded street of cowering civilians, that was for sure.

Once he was sure that Rania had left the area, Seth clambered out of the wrecked building and exited through the freshly created hole in the wall. This blood armour really was a blessing, he had hardly felt a thing when those wall fragments were battering against his back like a barrage of bullets.

As Seth exited the building, he fell into line alongside Astra and Corvus, as they gazed out at the horizon and observed the cause of the sudden, unnatural meteor strike.

The origin of this phenomena was a creature that stood hundreds of meters away, although despite this fact they were easily able to pick out details of the creature for one simple reason. It was absolutely huge.

It was humanoid in nature, easily standing over 30 meters tall, yet it clearly was not human. There were some oddities in its body that set it apart from a simple giant human.

For one, it had three legs. Not in the euphemism way, it quite literally had three legs, arranged in a triangular formation much like the legs of a camera tripod, which meant that one of the legs was facing outwards while the others pointed diagonally outwards. All of these legs were bent ever so slightly to support the weight of the creature's titanic body and keep itself properly balanced.

Legs weren't the only thing that it had three of, however. Not only did it have three arms, not three sets but three total, it also had three heads that seemed to act independently from one another.

Its torso was extra wide at the top to make room for these heads, like an upside down pyramid.

The arms were arranged in a better way than the legs, at the very least. Much like a human, it had two arms on either side, which bugled with powerful muscles, and a single arm on what could be considered it's back.

This arm was twice as long as the other two and loomed over its head, like the tail of a scorpion, and it was in this arms hand that another train sized boulder was clutched. Ready to be launched by this living trebuchet.

As if to spite its theme of threes, or perhaps because of this recurring theme, the creature only had a single, bulging eye in the middle of each head which of course tallied up to a total of three. Below these eyes, each had a single mouth. A mouth that was twisted in a gruesome snarl, giving way to a mouthful of rotten, crooked teeth like ruined tombstones in a forgotten graveyard.

Although, Seth did wonder if the situation with its eyes made it a cyclops or a triclops. Well, since it went to all the effort of arranging itself into threes, Triclops felt like the best name for this soon to be corpse.

Before the Triclops could launch its next volley, Corvus crouched down and blasted from the ground, leaving a deep crater in the stone from the power of his leap. As he soared through the air like a rocket, the billowing shadows of his cloak wrapped around his body once more and helped him keep on course.

Corvus left a trail of thick black smoke behind him as he flew but just as he was crossing the half way mark between them, he was smacked out of the air like an irritating fly.

Even with his view in the distance, Seth had no idea what was happening. One minute Corvus was flying true, the next he was crashing through buildings and bouncing across the ground like a skipping stone along a lake.

He had barely seen what had hit his loyal puppet, all that registered in his eyes was a giant white blur. Yet the Triclops hadn't moved an inch, in fact, it looked equally as confused as its rotten tooth snarl was replaced by an expression of utter befuddlement.

Thankfully, Seth didn't have to wait very long for the answer to his question, as the white blur flicked past again, swiping at the empty air, before slowing down and revealing itself for what it really was.

Emerging out of the very air itself, was the slender tail of a pure white serpent. If the size of this tail was anything to go on, the serpent it belonged to could easily be the size of a subway train, maybe more. The air around this porcelain tail, shimmered like the surface of a diamond, the light becoming scattered as the air itself was filled with tiny fragments of shattered glass.

It was a sight that Seth, unfortunately, recognised. It was the same effect that Lee had on reality whenever he created his gateways or portals. A serpent that didn't so much as slither out of the crack in reality, instead falling out of it like it was a sinkhole in the sand of space.

As the pure, jade-like Serpent finally crashed to the ground and fully entered their reality, a cacophony of screams erupted throughout the city. Not just from those nearby the colossal serpent, or even those within line of sight of it. But from everywhere within the entire city.

'What the hell is going on?!'
