Justin Battleson turned his head to glance at Charlotte Thompson, but Charlotte was already eating her breakfast, which made the words Justin wanted to say remain unspoken.

After having breakfast, Charlotte went to the film set where Annie Anne was.

Today was the first day of shooting for Annie’s new film, and Charlotte had promised to visit the set.

"Actor’s lounge..."

Charlotte was searching for Annie’s lounge along the corridor, but just as she reached the corner, she heard a cold laugh from not far away.

"Oh, who do we have here? Isn’t this the superstar Riley Thompson? Why are you squeezing in a lounge with us? With your connections, shouldn’t you be directly assigned to a private lounge?"

Upon hearing Riley’s name, Charlotte’s footsteps paused slightly.

Then she looked up and saw a few people standing not far down the corridor, with Riley being surrounded by them.

Her head was bowed, making it hard to see the expression on her face, but her hand movements indicated Riley’s embarrassment and unease.

Charlotte gently furrowed her brow.

"Why so quiet now? I saw you chatting and laughing with the crew before. Why can’t you say a word in front of us? Do you look down on us?"

A female star spoke to Riley in a sarcastic tone, and immediately, someone next to her chimed in:

"Of course she looks down on us. We’re just some no-name small actors, but she’s different. She knows Justin Battleson!"

As these words came out, the female stars around burst into laughter.

"It was just a misunderstanding..."

Riley finally spoke slowly, her voice seemingly choked with emotion.

"Forget it, people like us aren’t worthy to talk to you. Let’s just hurry back to rest!"

A female star spoke disdainfully; she wanted to bypass Riley to enter the lounge behind her, but the coffee she held spilled all over Riley at the moment she brushed past.

The coffee in the cup was scalding, and it immediately reddened a large patch of Riley’s skin, causing her to let out a pained hum.

But the culprit’s face showed no guilt, and she even glared at Riley, tossing the empty cup onto Riley.

"Why did you bump into me on purpose? You made me spill all my newly bought coffee."

"It was obviously you..." Riley said with great grievance.

However, the female star folded her arms, quickly interjecting to stop Riley’s words: "What do you mean it was me? Everyone here saw it. Are you saying I framed you?"

The others quickly chimed in to agree with the female star’s words.

In the end, they all looked at Riley with disdain. After making some sarcastic remarks, they all entered the lounge, leaving Riley standing alone in the corridor.

Seeing this scene, Charlotte couldn’t help but purse her lips, but eventually, she walked over.

Riley, who had been lowering her head, seemed to sense someone approaching her. She initially wanted to step aside to make way, but when she looked up, she met Charlotte’s gaze.

Instantly, Riley’s expression became particularly complex. Almost instinctively, she took a step back, opened her mouth, but couldn’t utter a word.

Realizing her own sorry state, Riley covered her arm and let out a self-deprecating laugh.

But Charlotte’s face showed no emotion; instead, she took out a clean handkerchief and handed it to Riley.
