CHAPTER 783: CHAPTER 642: SUPPRESSING THE PATRIOTIC LITTLE RASCALS IS TRULY ENTERTAINING

Ever since the big argument with Oda Seisui, Chunrigong Er had been collectively ostracized by the Maritime Security Bureau’s management. He spent all day drowning his sorrows in alcohol, with no heart for work.

Time quickly flew to May 11th. That afternoon, while the other colleagues went out drinking, Chunrigong Er, as usual, left work alone.

But this time, just as he stepped out of the office, someone called out to him.

"Section Chief Chunrigong."

He stopped and turned back, frowning at a young man in the second-class Maritime Security uniform, and asked, "Hello, can I help you with something?"

Within the Maritime Security Bureau’s internal ranks, a second-class Maritime Security officer typically holds the position of Section Chief.

They are considered low-ranking bureaucrats.

"Hello, Section Chief Chunrigong. I am Yazawa Takeo, Section Chief of the Special Security Measures Department, Security Guard and Rescue Division. Could I take a moment of your time for a chat?" The young man saluted respectfully.

A thought flashed in Chunrigong Er’s mind, realizing that perhaps the fish had bit the bait. Yet outwardly, he feigned helplessness with a self-deprecating smile, "Chief Yazawa, I’m an untouchable right now; everyone steers clear of me. Aren’t you worried about your future stepping forward like this?"

"What future does a small Section Chief like me have anyway?" Yazawa Takeo chuckled, glanced around, and said, "This isn’t the place to talk."

"Let’s go to my office." Chunrigong Er exhaled, turned back to unlock the office door.

Yazawa Takeo followed him in and closed the door.

Chunrigong Er pointed to a chair, then sat behind his desk, "Go ahead and speak."

"Section Chief Chunrigong, you are correct. Minister Du Bian’s death is indeed fishy; they colluded, using despicable means to murder Minister Du Bian," Yazawa Takeo said with a firm expression, full of indignation.

Chunrigong Er raised an eyebrow, "How can Chief Yazawa be so certain? I only raised concerns out of suspicion; I dare not claim certainty."

"It’s true!" Yazawa Takeo became agitated and clenched his fists, saying, "Minister Du Bian had long been intolerant of the smuggling activities within the Maritime Security Bureau. He had been secretly collecting evidence to punish corrupt officials like Oda Seisui. It must have been leaked, leading to his deadly fate."

"How do you know this so clearly?" Chunrigong Er appeared unconvinced.

"Because he told us personally," Yazawa Takeo blurted out without hesitation, as if spilling beans, "The leadership of the Maritime Security Bureau has already completely decayed. He could only rely on us, the grassroots personnel with ideals and passion."

"Us?" Chunrigong Er’s expression grew serious, "You mean there’s more than just one of you?"

"There are thirty-seven of us altogether across various departments—not many, but a single spark can start a prairie fire. Every one of us was personally selected by Minister Du Bian and is absolutely trustworthy! We are deeply saddened by Minister Du Bian’s death, and now leaderless, we don’t know what to do. So we ask Section Chief Chunrigong to lead us to carry on Minister Du Bian’s work!" Yazawa Takeo declared emphatically.

Thirty-seven people—Old Thief Du Bian really managed to quietly gather a group of fearless rookies.

Unfortunately, these young people have courage, ideals, and guts, but lack a bit of brains.

Chunrigong Er coldly sneered inside yet outwardly stood up excitedly, pacing while continuously striking his left palm with a clenched right fist, "Good, very good! I never imagined Minister Du Bian was so determined to cleanse the corrupt inside the Security Bureau. It’s a pity I didn’t know sooner; otherwise, I could have fought alongside him."

"Your position was too high, Section Chief Chunrigong. Minister Du Bian was afraid of leaks and didn’t dare make contact with someone of your level," Yazawa Takeo explained for Du Bianxiang Yuan and continued, "Minister Du Bian didn’t know a person like you existed in the mid to upper echelons of the Security Bureau, which he would have deeply regretted."

"Phew—" Chunrigong Er exhaled deeply, bowed with resolute eyes, and said, "Thank you for your trust, Chief Yazawa. I will not let you down!"

"Hai!" Yazawa Takeo showed a sincerely radiant smile, "This is excellent. We finally have someone to rely on again. Section Chief Chunrigong, everyone has actually been waiting for you. Please come with me."

"Okay!" Chunrigong Er nodded, sharing the radiant smile, "I’ve been eager for this too."

Yazawa Takeo led Chunrigong Er to a private residence, where the living room was packed with vibrant young males and females in their early twenties.

"Everyone, welcome Section Chief Chunrigong."

Yazawa Takeo announced grandly with a bright smile.

"Section Chief Chunrigong!" The crowd bowed in unison.

"Very well, very well." Chunrigong Er said excitedly with flushed cheeks, "It should be me bowing to all of you. As a group of successors, you have already begun to act to change the Internal unethical atmosphere; it shames me as a predecessor that I remained silent until Minister Du Bian was murdered."

"Since you trust me, I will carry on Minister Du Bian’s legacy, leading everyone to cleanse internal corruption and let Oda Seisui, such lawless corrupt officials, face due punishment!"

His words reignited the previously lost, angry, despondent, and grieving group of youngsters mourning Du Bianxiang Yuan’s sudden death, restoring their resolve.

After the gathering, as soon as Chunrigong Er got in the car, he called Oda Seisui to report.

"Chief Oda, I have found where the remnants of Du Bian are hiding. Upon probing, they don’t know much about the internal details, and their tangible evidence is almost non-existent. We can directly proceed to clear them out."

"Yoshi, excellent. Aoyama indeed never misses a mark!" Oda Seisui laughed heartily, "Teach these inexperienced youngsters a lesson; accomplishing great deeds requires careful trust."

Two days later, on May 13th, Chunrigong Er gathered Yazawa Takeo and the Security Bureau’s idealists for a meeting.

Just as everyone was immersed in the commotion, the door was kicked open with a bang, and a group of armed police burst in, causing chaos at the scene.

"Don’t move! Police!"

"Bakayaro! Let me go!"

"Bakayaro! Why are you arresting me!"

After a brief period of chaos, all members of the Maritime Security Bureau were subdued by the superior number of police officers.

"We are from the Police Headquarters Criminal Department. We received a tip that there are people here gathering to do drugs. Please cooperate with our investigation," the leading police officer explained expressionlessly, then waved his hand, "Search!"

More than a dozen officers responded and scattered immediately, searching the room thoroughly from top to bottom.

"Report! Found drugs!"

"Report! Found firearms and ammunition!"

Soon, the police searched different corners of the room and found guns, drugs, and other contraband.

"Impossible! How can this be! These things aren’t ours! We don’t know anything about them!"

"It’s got nothing to do with us, this is a misunderstanding!"

The group from the Maritime Security Bureau, originally upset about their disrupted gathering, was instantly flustered.

Yazawa Takeo stared blankly, then suddenly turned to Chunrigong Er, "It’s you! It’s you, isn’t it!"

The others were first stunned, then realized that today’s gathering location had been provided by Chunrigong Er, and then an incident had occurred. How could it be such a coincidence?

"Seems like you aren’t completely dumb." Chunrigong Er, who was also being restrained by two officers, stopped acting as if he hadn’t been discovered, easily broke free from his restraints, straightened his collar, and said with a smile, "Since you don’t like the atmosphere of the Maritime Security Bureau, just leave it. Why bother trying to change it? I’m helping you; all of you will be dismissed for possessing firearms and gathering to do drugs."

These people were all grassroots members of the Maritime Security Bureau, with no social influence, and knew very little.

Once expelled from the Bureau and burdened with the label of getting dismissed due to illegal activity, whatever they say outside will be considered sour grapes.

"Bakayaro! You bastard! We trusted you so much! And you betrayed us!"

"Bastard! You’ll die a miserable death! Are you true to Minister Du Bian? You dog!"

Receiving Chunrigong Er’s confirmation, a group of impassioned young men were all furious.

"Hahaha!" Chunrigong Er laughed disdainfully, eyes full of mockery, "How can you call it betrayal? I’ve never been on the same side as you. It’s your own stupidity to trust others lightly."

"Ah! I’m going to kill you!" Yazawa Takeo had fully realized he had been deceived, causing everyone to get captured. He struggled fiercely in an attempt to lunge at Chunrigong Er but was held down firmly by the police.

Chunrigong Er sighed, "The car is parked right there; you don’t have to get in it, but you shouldn’t block the road ahead either. If you get hit and die, who can you blame? You can only blame yourselves for being blind and overestimating your abilities."

Having said that, he walked out without looking back, ready to return and report for credit gleefully.

"Bastard! Stop! Come back here!"

"Take them away!" The leading officer ordered.

"Let go of me! You’re all in cahoots, worms of the state, dog officials!"

"It’s pests like you occupying high positions that bring misfortune to the country. Let go of me! Let go of me!"

Everyone shouted and struggled violently, but the response was just blows landing hard on their bodies.

With their faces bruised and bloodied, completely unable to resist, they were finally pushed into the vehicle.

In the office, Aoyama Xiu Xin soon received a call from Oda Seisui, "Mr. Aoyama, thanks to your brilliant plan, the bad elements infiltrating the Maritime Security Bureau have been rooted out and cleaned up. From now on, we can rest easy and continue making big profits."

"Mr. Oda, you’re too kind." After exchanging a few pleasantries, Aoyama Xiu Xin hung up the phone, chuckling softly, suppressing those patriotic wannabes really is quite satisfying.

"Ring ring! Ring ring!"

Just then, the phone suddenly rang again.

He answered casually, "Speak."

"Minister, there’s something I think you should know, Ninpei Oshiro and Nipponjiro have returned," Yamakawa Ichiro said in a low voice.

The smile on Aoyama Xiu Xin’s face instantly vanished.
