CHAPTER 504: CHAPTER 502 HOW COULD I BE A LOSER DOG, HE HAS ME IN HIS HEART_1
As the words were spoken, the air seemed to be infused with glue, gradually congealing.
The young girl sat upright on the stool, her pure, natural golden hair, free of any impurities, cascaded over her shoulders.
Her delicate lips were as red as rose petals, and the slight upturn at the corners hinted at an air of proud confidence.
The young lady had learned emotional management and would never show her vulnerability or anger in front of others.
Morimoto Chiyoda sat across from her on the tutor’s chair, her legs crossed, her posture with arms wrapped around her chest unchanged. Her eyes were as deep as the Tokyo night sky, her expression composed.
A tempest raged in her heart; she could never have imagined that after ten years of being with Aozawa, she had only recently learned that he was an Angel Envoy with the power of Infinity Big.
This young lady had known Aozawa for less than half a year.
Yet, in such a brief acquaintance, she had managed to learn Aozawa’s hidden secret before Chiyoda did.
To say she wasn’t jealous would be a lie.
But Morimoto Chiyoda would never show her jealousy outwardly. She may not have learned emotional management, yet she was well-versed in how to tease others.
A slight smile formed on Morimoto Chiyoda’s lips as she said, "I told you, Aozawa and I have been completely open with each other. I know everything about him, including Infinity Big. I even got to experience it a bit. It felt nice."
"Really now."
Phoenix Academy Maggie couldn’t understand a word she was saying. What was Infinity Big?
Still, that didn’t stop the young lady from pretending to understand. With a smirk suggesting Chiyoda only knew a part of it, she chuckled, "Is that all you’ve managed to find out? All parents make this mistake, thinking they know their children well, when in fact they know nothing."
When mentioning the term "parents," Phoenix Academy Maggie deliberately emphasized it, mocking Morimoto Chiyoda for being old enough to be Aozawa’s mother.
How shameless of that old cow, grazing on young grass!
Morimoto Chiyoda pretended not to understand the jab and said with a smile, "A frog in a well knows nothing of the ocean. It’s quite hard to change what people know."
With that, she stood up, reached for the exquisite blueberry cake on the table, and said with a smile, "Thank you for hosting me, Miss. Goodbye."
Her bright red lips took a bite of the blueberry cake, and Morimoto Chiyoda turned around gracefully, confidently walking towards the door.
The lingering perfume in the air made Phoenix Academy Maggie feel disgusted. She hated being patronized as if she were a child, and she hated even more not understanding what Infinity Big was.
Was it a move, or what?
She pondered this, her face expressionless.
Morimoto Chiyoda opened the door to find Miwa Kazuki standing a meter away. She said nothing and descended the stairs.
Step by step, as she walked down where no one could see, her expression gradually grew solemn.
Was the young lady just bluffing, or was there truly something about Aozawa that I didn’t know?
Morimoto Chiyoda didn’t mind Aozawa having secrets from her, but she did care that the young lady knew those secrets while she did not.
She couldn’t tolerate such a thing.
If it’s a secret, then it should be kept so well that no one else knows about it. A secret that others can discover isn’t a secret at all.
Morimoto Chiyoda’s eyes glinted coldly. It’s necessary to interrogate Aozawa thoroughly tonight and make him reveal all his hidden secrets.
BUZZ. The phone vibrated in his pocket.
Aozawa was still immersed in the pleasure of having coffee with Ayatsuki Ayaka when he felt the vibration.
Knowing someone had sent him a message, he immediately used his Time-stop ability.
A grayscale filter covered the flushed, wheat-colored cheeks of Ayatsuki Ayaka before him; her watery eyes reflected his pupils.
Without any physical movement, Aozawa chose to use Telekinesis to pull the phone out of his pocket.
Leaning against the wall allowed him to use it as a medium to activate his Catalyst sensing ability.
His mental vision quickly extended, scene after scene appearing in his mind.
In the world of Time stop, everything stood still and silent.
Aozawa then used his Defense Barrier ability to send his phone to the café’s restroom. Next, the Shadow Emperor condensed a Shadow Soldier from the toilet’s shadow to hold the phone.
After doing all this, Aozawa lifted the Time-stop ability, and everything regained its color.
He continued discussing the different ways to enjoy lattes with Ayatsuki Ayaka, all the while observing the phone screen in the Shadow Soldier’s hands through Catalyst Induction, his mind issuing commands.
The Shadow Soldier unlocked it and saw a message from the young lady.
"Aozawa, guess who I met today?"
How could I possibly guess? This thought passed through Aozawa’s mind, and the Shadow Soldier, receiving his command, swiftly typed and sent the response.
Hot breath from Ayatsuki Ayaka’s nose brushed against Aozawa’s skin.
Her bright lips parted, her voice trembling slightly as she said, "Aozawa, let’s stop here for today. If we keep going, I’ll start to feel oxygen-deprived and dizzy."
Ayatsuki Ayaka didn’t want to continue showing off her special trick. If she kept going, she feared she wouldn’t be able to control her thoughts, and the few boundaries she had were about to be breached.
Her entire body was burning up.
"Okay," Aozawa softly replied, picking up a donut from the table. "Here, take a bite to regain some strength."
"This isn’t a game," Ayatsuki Ayaka retorted, opening her mouth to bite into the donut.
Aozawa also saw the Shadow Soldier’s phone screen and read the message Phoenix Academy Maggie had sent.
"You can certainly guess. I ran into someone you know well."
This sentence made an image flash through Aozawa’s mind. Did you meet Chitose? he instructed the Shadow Soldier to type.
"Exactly. We talked about some really interesting topics. She said you and she have always been honest with each other, with no generation gap, and she even praised your Infinity Big as great. No wonder she’s your live-in family member; she knows more than I do."
Throughout the message, not a single word was a complaint or showed anger, yet it made Aozawa understand that the young lady was now like a powder keg, ready to explode at the slightest touch.
He had the Shadow Soldier send: "Maggie, when can we meet up for a chat?"
Aozawa hadn’t expected Chitose to actually tell Phoenix Academy Maggie about Infinity Big and the Angel Envoy. He had no idea what kind of conversation the two had had, but it was likely a clash of titans. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be any talk of being honest or having no age gap.
If there’s a fire in the harem, only I, the Emperor, can step in to extinguish it.
"Aozawa, you eat too," Ayatsuki Ayaka said. She cut a small piece of mousse cake with her knife, then forked it and brought it to Aozawa’s lips.
The smile on her cheeks was clearer than tap water.
"Iroha, you’re so kind," Aozawa sighed in appreciation and bit into the mousse cake.
"Hehe," Ayatsuki Ayaka smiled and said, "It’s what I should do."
As she spoke, she bit down on the donut Aozawa was holding, chewing quickly. She didn’t even spare his hand, nibbling lightly and skillfully rolling her tongue around to capture every piece of the donut, ensuring no crumbs were left behind.
It was only because Aozawa’s current mindset was devoid of desire that he didn’t feel the fire blazing through his body.
It was a helpless situation; when using his Catalyst sensing ability, Aozawa could handle multiple people at once, but it was difficult for him to exhibit any normal physiological responses.
"Alright, let’s pick a time to meet then," Phoenix Academy Maggie’s message read. "Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be taking a walk outside the Prime Minister’s residence in Chiyoda District."
Phoenix Academy Maggie sent this message, her heart eager to know what Infinity Big was.
There were things Morimoto Chiyoda knew that she was unaware of, which wasn’t unusual. Because Chiyoda and Aozawa had already been completely open with each other, while she and Aozawa were still separated by layers of fabric.
Yet some things, despite being normal and reasonable, are still not accepted by people.
The jealousy rolling around in Phoenix Academy Maggie’s heart burst forth, too immense for even the four oceans to contain.
What on earth am I doing? Phoenix Academy Maggie murmured to herself, her eyes clouded with confusion.
She had delayed taking that step, not voicing the thoughts in her heart, because she knew it would be hard for her to tolerate sharing Aozawa with anyone.
But if I keep standing on the edge, Morimoto Chiyoda will completely devour Aozawa, leaving not a scrap behind. And there’s Ayatsuki Ayaka, eyeing them like a tiger watching its prey. The seemingly docile junior, the innocent-looking class president—both are latent threats to me.
Phoenix Academy Maggie clenched her phone, exhaled heavily, and said in frustration, "Ah, I’m such an idiot!"
Torn between hope and fear, yet not daring to muster the courage for a desperate struggle, she only wanted to tentatively explore Aozawa’s thoughts, her face full of worry.
Aozawa’s reply came: "No problem. I’ll be wandering there all afternoon. No matter when, I promise to ’bump’ into you."
Seeing the almost instant reply, the worried expression on Phoenix Academy Maggie’s face gradually disappeared, replaced by a sweetness in her heart. This shows I still hold a place in his mind. If he didn’t care about me, he wouldn’t have replied so quickly.
Phoenix Academy Maggie quickly typed her response: "It doesn’t have to be so troublesome. Just meet me behind the Prime Minister’s residence at half-past three in the afternoon."
The summer sun was so fierce that Phoenix Academy Maggie didn’t want Aozawa waiting outside for too long, so it was better to set a specific time to prevent him from being in the sun.
"Good, I’ll be there on time. What flavor of milk tea would you like?" Aozawa replied.
"Anything," Phoenix Academy Maggie typed back, feeling much more relaxed.
Morimoto Chiyoda and Ayatsuki Ayaka are indeed formidable opponents, but I’m not lacking either.
Phoenix Academy Maggie remembered Morimoto Chiyoda’s smile before she left. The fiery will in her heart blazed. I must defeat that woman! Don’t think you can win just by getting on base; I haven’t even started fighting in earnest!
KNOCK KNOCK. Miwa Kazuki knocked on the door, reminding her, "Miss, it’s almost time for your next class."
"Mm," Phoenix Academy Maggie responded, then typed, "Aozawa, I’m about to start class. Let’s chat more later."
"Alright, see you tomorrow."
Phoenix Academy Maggie looked at the message, sent a nodding emoji, and then exited the chat interface.
Tomorrow, I also need to talk to Aozawa about the news of the Emperor impaling hundreds of thousands of people in Mexico. And about what Mother wants to do.
Phoenix Academy Maggie pondered the topics for tomorrow’s meeting, her thoughts drifting to Infinity Big again.
It couldn’t be just a simple move. Could it be related to Superpowers? I’ll have my answers tomorrow.
