Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 227: Who told you to make me wear such ugly clothes!
Mason Nightshade applied a bit of pressure, and Aurelia Shaw felt her fingers lose their strength; the knife fell into his palm, and her wrist was restrained by him.
Looks like she should sign up for a martial arts class.
Every time she faced off with Mason, she was never his match.
As if he saw through her thoughts, Mason glanced down at her defiant little face and said in a low voice, "If you want to learn, I can teach you."
"No need!"
Aurelia retorted, twisting her wrist. Mason didn't actually use much force, but she just couldn't break free of his grip.
Fortunately, Aurelia gave up struggling.
Rather than wasting energy on this, it would be better to conserve her strength and quietly wait for an opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to the opponent.
She never engaged in futile struggles, preferring to drag the opponent down with her.
"Stubborn," Mason said, stepping forward and pinning her against the wall, his leg pressed against her waist. With his other hand, he pulled the phone out of her hand, his long fingers sliding across the screen.
"Is this what you call evidence?"
He opened the photo she used to confront him.
"Don't even think about denying it." Aurelia gave him an angry glare, gritting her teeth, "Who else besides you could match clothes this poorly!"
Mason was startled; his usually sharp mind short-circuited once again in front of her. After a moment, he realized that she was more concerned about the clothes?
"Do you know how important appearance is to a celebrity?" Aurelia growled, her fierce gaze like a little cat bristling with anger.
Mason resisted the strong urge to smooth her fur, "Is it really that serious?"
Catching a glimpse of the fierceness in her eyes, Mason thought for a moment.
He asked her softly, "Should I have the tech department delete all the photos online?"
"What good is deleting them now! It will only make people think more. Are you afraid people won't know it was the two of us in the photo?"
Why does this man always seem dim-witted about these things, she truly wondered if he did it on purpose.
In his heart, Mason certainly wished the whole world knew about their relationship.
But he couldn't let her know about that thought.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" he asked.
"What else can we do, just wait for the hype to die down. Once people's focus shifts, they won't inquire into the identities of the people in the photo. Fortunately, the person who took the photo didn't capture our faces clearly, and the pictures have been blurred afterward."
If she got labeled as the worst-dressed celebrity because of this, she would definitely make endless trouble for Mason.
Seeing the man deep in thought, Aurelia continued, "You haven't explained what happened last night clearly. What's the deal? I have no evidence, but don't say I went out on my own with nothing to do with you."
The corner of her eye lifted slightly as she provocatively glanced at him.
Mason met her gaze, "What if I said that's exactly what happened?"
"I'm not a three-year-old child."
"But that's the truth." Mason released her, his fingertips lingering with her warmth, soothing his heart; he unconsciously clenched his palm, wanting that warmth to fade slower.
"You were sleepwalking," Mason said in a light voice.
Aurelia had been rubbing her wrist. Mason hadn't used much force, but being held for so long was inevitably uncomfortable. Hearing this, she looked up at Mason, her delicate brows slightly furrowed.
She'd heard of sleepwalking and knew a bit about it.
But her? Having sleepwalking?
Aurelia recalled her past, and she had never heard anything about sleepwalking.
