Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 424: Viscount, Do You Believe in Reincarnation?
Aurelia Shaw pressed her lips together, "Don't worry, since I let you manage the company, I won't let you lose face. I already have a candidate. As for the artists... what I care about is quality, not quantity. If they lack real talent, bringing in a bagful of people won't be useful!"
"Tsk tsk, you have high standards. I originally wanted to help you recruit a few minor celebrities, but it seems there's no need."
"I'm open to whoever comes. Send me the information and I'll review it and get back to you."
"Such high demands. Alright, I'll send it to you later. On a serious note, the task you asked me to do, I've arranged it. But let me nag for a moment, Mason Nightshade isn't a fool. If he finds out about this... I'm not afraid of dying, I can wander the world with you, but what I don't understand is why you hate Mason Nightshade so much?"
Aurelia Shaw's fingers trembled slightly, frozen in mid-air. After a while, she came back to her senses and typed out a question:
"Viscount, do you believe in rebirth?"
"Are you talking about a TV series? Rebirth-themed dramas have been quite popular lately. If you want to act in those types of shows, I can help you find some good scripts."
"No. I mean actual human rebirth."
Long silence ensued without any reply on her phone. Aurelia Shaw curled her lips into a smile. True, something like this is hard to believe, even if the relationship is intimate. They'd only think her words were absurd.
She had just tossed the phone aside when it suddenly rang urgently.
It was Viscount.
She hesitated for a moment before answering, "Aurelia, what did you mean by rebirth just now?"
"Nothing, it's just my nonsense." Aurelia Shaw thought for a moment. She decided it was better to not be seen as a lunatic by Viscount.
"Where are you?" Viscount suddenly asked.
"Old mansion..." Aurelia Shaw hadn't finished speaking before the line was abruptly disconnected.
What's going on? She looked bewildered.
Then, ten minutes later, Butler Lee ushered in a stormy guest.
Viscount glanced around the living room, didn't see Aurelia Shaw, and turned to head upstairs.
Aurelia Shaw was coming downstairs when she saw Viscount and froze.
Before she could react, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by him and she was pulled outside.
"Hey, what's gotten into you suddenly?"
Butler Lee rushed over, but Aurelia Shaw waved a 'no problem' hand gesture at him as she was dragged out the door by Viscount and stuffed into a car.
"Hey, where are you taking me? I haven't changed my clothes yet. If there's something urgent, wait for me to change first."
Viscount's face was ashen. He didn't utter a word, leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, then walked around the front of the car and sat in the driver's seat, stepping on the accelerator.
In the car.
Aurelia Shaw wanted to question his sudden madness, but then her lower abdomen throbbed with pain. She clutched her stomach in agony, curling up on the seat, her lips refusing to move.
The car stopped.
The car door opened.
Aurelia Shaw glanced out—it was Cloud Pavilion Garden. "Why did you bring me here?"
"To talk." Viscount's face was stern but concerned as he noticed her pale complexion and worriedly furrowed his brow to ask, "Are you feeling unwell?"
"I'm fine." Aurelia Shaw got out of the car and went upstairs.
Such things are hard to explain to a man.
Opening the door to Cloud Pavilion Garden, Ursa Miller greeted her with a delighted look. Aurelia asked Ursa to bring two cups of hot water, and Ursa quickly headed to the kitchen.
Viscount and Aurelia sat down together on the sofa.
Once Ursa brought over the water, Aurelia told her, "You go and rest first. We have some things to discuss."
Ursa understood they didn't want her to hear and wisely retreated to her room, closing the door.
"What's this about rebirth?" As soon as Ursa left, Viscount went straight to the point.
