Buzz—

The phone rings.

It was Sawyer calling, notifying her that she could start filming with the crew.

Apparently, the crew had encountered some issues recently, causing an inexplicable pause, but Sawyer didn't mention it, nor did she ask.

Going downstairs, she found that Mason had already gone to the office, and Ursa was bringing up the red date porridge she had cooked.

"This was ordered by the young master before he left."

Aurelia's action of drinking the porridge suddenly paused, her eyes momentarily lost in thought, but after a while, she returned to drinking her porridge calmly.

"I'll head over to the crew this afternoon. I probably won't be back for several months. If there's any change in your brother's condition, you can call me or directly call the Viscount, he'll help you." Aurelia reminded of some trivial matters.

Ursa nodded, no longer as uneasy as when she first received Aurelia's help, but still grateful, "I know, Aurelia."

The more time she spent with her, the more Ursa realized that Aurelia was someone who was cold outside but warm inside. She was indifferent to others, making her seem aloof and difficult to approach, but upon interacting further, you'd find that she was very clear about right and wrong. She would repay kindness double and wouldn't suffer from those who hurt her.

She wouldn't proactively provoke others, nor would she let others hurt her.

"If the young master comes back tonight..." Ursa noticed a slight change in Aurelia's expression and didn't continue her sentence.

"He won't come back tonight. He should know I'm joining the crew. If he does come back, cook dinner for him as usual," Aurelia paused in her sipping of the porridge, finished the bowl, and got up to walk to the bedroom.

-

Evening.

After taking a bath, Aurelia wiped her hair with a towel, her damp long hair casually draping over her shoulders, a hint of Glamour in her eyes as she glanced at the phone on the bed.

No calls had come in.

She turned to look at the clock on the wall–10 PM.

If Mason returned home and found her missing, given his character, he would definitely call to inquire about the situation, or come over himself. But with no news so late, Aurelia felt a twinge of unease.

"Aurelia, are you waiting for someone's call?" Amanda Fuller, lying on the couch, snapped back to reality from admiring Aurelia's beauty, swinging her long legs and asking with eyes full of gossip.

Could it be she was waiting for a call from Mr. Nightshade?

Hmm, she noticed that recently Aurelia and Mr. Nightshade's relationship had improved.

Aurelia glanced at her slightly; as her agent, Amanda insisted on squeezing into the same room to sleep with her, which was quite regrettable, "Just watch your show properly."

Buzz—

The phone on the bed rang abruptly.

Aurelia was momentarily stunned, instinctively walking over, initially thinking it was Mason calling. Her heart relaxed a bit, but upon seeing that the incoming call wasn't from the person she had been expecting, disappointment flashed across her eyes.

Aurelia instinctively ignored the flash of emotion that shouldn't belong to her and answered the call.

Her usually cold voice carried a trace of affection, "Grandpa."

Amanda looked at her with slight surprise, curious about who could make Aurelia speak in such a tone?

On the call.

Kai Nightshade let out a dissatisfied "humph," "You still remember to call me Grandpa. You said you'd move in to recuperate and accompany this old man, but you've gone to the filming crew today! And that boy Mason, who knows where he's gone tonight, hasn't come back either!"

Mason didn't come home?

Aurelia frowned in confusion, realizing this could be the last intimate conversation with her grandfather, feeling a bit saddened, no longer having the mood to think about anything else.
