In the morning, after breakfast, Mason Nightshade drove, and the two of them went to the hospital.

On the way, Mason Nightshade's phone rang again.

However, it was in Aurelia Shaw's pocket.

Aurelia glanced at the caller ID and remembered it wasn't her phone.

But for someone like Mason Nightshade to entrust her with something as private as a phone meant he fully trusted her.

Or perhaps... he was willing to take the risk even if she let him down again?

Aurelia didn't dwell on the reason. Maybe Mason initially married her with an agenda, but now, the initiative was in her hands.

Aurelia handed the phone to Mason Nightshade.

Mason didn't take it, kept his eyes on the road, and asked calmly, "Who's calling?"

Aurelia paused for a moment before replying, "Assistant Gustavo."

"Put it on speaker for me."

With him saying that, Aurelia didn't hesitate, answered the call, and directly pressed the speaker button.

From the phone, Gustavo Yates's voice came through.

"Boss, the meeting this morning is scheduled to start at nine."

Mason glanced at his watch, "Postpone it to the afternoon. I have to go to the hospital this morning."

Huh, is the boss sick?

They just did the thing last night, and now he needs to go to the hospital. Could there be a problem with the boss in that respect?

Could it be he's been holding back for too long and it's causing problems?

If Mason Nightshade knew about such thoughts, Gustavo Yates's skin would surely suffer.

"Anything else?" Mason noticed Gustavo hadn't hung up yet.

He glanced at Aurelia holding the phone, his eyes briefly showing impatience, his voice turning cold, as if with a layer of frost.

What did I do to upset the boss again? Gustavo was clueless, but with the boss's tone, he decided not to say more.

"I understand, boss." He quickly ended the call.

Aurelia, seeing the call ended, put the phone away, her fingers hooking his jacket pocket to place the phone back in.

The car stopped at the hospital.

Aurelia put on sunglasses and walked in with Mason Nightshade, only realizing when she looked up that Mason was also wearing sunglasses.

He usually disliked wearing accessories, so why was he wearing sunglasses today?

Mason wouldn't admit he thought getting scratched by a cat and having to get a vaccine was embarrassing.

The nurse giving the vaccine was an enthusiastic chatterbox. She glanced at Mason, shivered from his icy demeanor, and didn't dare to talk, then turned to Aurelia, "You two make a great couple."

They both exuded a cold aura.

Even making her, a chatterbox, reluctant to speak.

"We're not a couple," Aurelia explained calmly.

The nurse looked a bit awkward, "Sorry, I thought..."

Before she could finish, a cool voice interrupted, "We used to be."

"We're already divorced," Aurelia again clarified calmly.

The nurse looked at Mason then at Aurelia, feeling overwhelmed inside.

I'm just here to give you a vaccine, why put me through this?

I won't talk to you two anymore, is that okay?

While Mason was getting vaccinated, Aurelia walked out, whispered a few words to a passing nurse, and left the hospital.

When Mason finished his vaccine and came out, Aurelia still hadn't returned. Just as he was about to go find her, a nurse suddenly approached.

"Are you Mr. Night?"

Mason didn't know why she was looking for him, frowning deeply, but he still politely replied, "What is it?"

The nurse shivered from the coldness, wondering how someone could be so cold. She recalled what the woman had instructed her to say, "The lady you came with earlier asked me to tell you that she left because she had something to do."
