Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 514 514: Hand Over My Daughter
Aurelia Shaw sneered sarcastically, "Your daughter is gone, what do you want from me?"
"It must be you who hid my daughter." Clara Philips had already lost her sanity.
It had been the third day, and there was still no news at all. Inquiries made to those who went out that day all said they hadn't been in contact with Jovana since they parted ways that night, not knowing where she went afterwards.
Surveillance footage from around had been retrieved, yet nothing was discovered.
The surveillance had been tampered with by Mason Nightshade, so Aurelia wasn't surprised that no clues were found.
She smiled coldly, "I have no grievances with her. Why would I hide her? Besides, she's a grown person, can I really hide her?"
"You're jealous of Jovana. You dropped out of school at seventeen due to misconduct, and you hate that Jovana is living better than you, so you want to ruin her."
"If you want revenge, come at me. It's all my fault anyway. I shouldn't have moved in here; no matter how ruthless you are, how could you harm a child?"
Aurelia coldly laughed, wondering whether to commend Clara Philips for her ability to distort truth or to say she's addicted to acting. With only a few servants around, she continued acting, not forgetting to throw dirt on Aurelia.
A stepmother like her, as if Aurelia would ever accept!
"Clara Philips, you'd better pray Jovana Shaw isn't in my hands. Otherwise, given our deep animosity, even dismembering her wouldn't alleviate my anger." Aurelia finished speaking and ignored her, lowering her head to eat.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Clara still wanting to rush over. Aurelia's red lips curved into a cold smile, "Since you suspect your daughter is in my hands, you'd best not provoke me. Otherwise, if you anger me, I can't guarantee your daughter will keep her life."
"It is you!" Clara pointed at her, her gaze filled with condemnation, as if she wished to tear Aurelia apart.
Aurelia sneered internally.
No matter how she pretends to be a loving mother usually, at critical moments, doesn't she still reveal her true colors?
Aurelia gave her a cold glance, neither admitting nor denying, "Don't disturb my meal. Or perhaps, Aunt Clara would like to join?"
Clara glared at her, angrily turned, and went upstairs.
The curve of Aurelia's lips remained cold; if Clara really sat down, she would have lost her appetite.
Upstairs, Clara, her rationality lost, looked at the photos of another woman placed around the room, furiously threw them all into a garbage bag, intending to throw it downstairs.
Aurelia was eating when she saw the servants carrying a large bag of things coming down from upstairs.
She narrowed her eyes, "What are you throwing away?"
The servants were startled, standing there trembling, an unusual expression flashing across their faces, unsure of what to say.
Aurelia grew suspicious, her eyes narrowing further, she walked over, staring at the servant's fingers tightly gripping the black strap, and coldly commanded, "Open it!"
The servant trembled, wanting to say something, but when she glanced up and saw Aurelia's icy gaze, the words stuck in her throat. Her hands trembled as she opened the plastic bag.
The contents inside were revealed.
The servants knelt to the ground, continuously kowtowing, "Sorry, Miss, it's not related to us. It was Madam who told us to throw these photos away."
A fierce glint flashed in Aurelia's eyes.
Like mother, like daughter. Each was specially targeting her bottom line.
"Put these photos back exactly where you got them from. If even one is lost or missing, I'll hold you accountable."
