When those bandits took Ruv Ling out of the car, Ding Fan had paid special attention to the direction they fled.

After getting out of the car, Ding Fan first found a place to hide all his travel bags, thinking it would have been much easier if he had a storage ring to avoid all the trouble.

After hiding the travel bags behind a rock, Ding Fan moved with a shudder, his movement as agile as a Mountain Cat as he vanished into the woods.

...

Ruv Ling had her mouth sealed with duct tape as two men dragged her into the forest and soon enough into a cave.

The cave was quite hidden, with some green vegetation concealing the entrance. About ten meters inside, the cave suddenly opened up wide after someone connected a battery to a lightbulb. The situation inside the cave soon became clear.

It was about the size of a basketball court, dry in contrast to the damp entranceway. There was a broken bed inside the cave; this was obviously the gang's hideout.

Upon reaching this place, Ruv Ling was thrown onto the broken bed. With her hands tied behind her back and people guarding her, escape was clearly impossible.

"Lao Jiu, tally up the money we got, and divide it among the brothers later," said the man with a goatee as he threw his homemade gun on the ground, his eyes lingering on Ruv Ling, who lay on the bed.

"Boss, you should take care of this chick first. Once you're done, we'll have the money divided. Then we can have a go with her too," said a tall man, licking his lips and almost squinting his eyes into slits.

"Ma Gan, you think Boss is like you, finishing the fight in five minutes? When has the Boss ever taken less than an hour?" said a man with a scar on his face, obsequiously.

"Ha ha... You guys count the money first. Once I've had my fun, I'll let you taste this tender meat!" The man with a goatee said and began to strip off his shirt.

Ruv Ling heard everything that the men said, and her face turned deathly pale. If she were defiled by these people, she might as well be dead.

But now, she felt she could cry out to heaven and earth in vain. When she was on the bus, not even her companions had helped her. Now that she was brought here, who would care about her?

Overwhelmed by both grievance and fear, tears began to fall from her eyes.

Ssht… The man with a goatee ripped the duct tape from Ruv Ling's mouth.

"Help... Help me..." Once the duct tape was removed, Ruv Ling immediately began shouting loudly.

"Keep screaming, the louder you scream, the more excited I get. Ha ha..." As he said this, the man with a goatee reached straight for Ruv Ling's chest.

"Ah... Help me!" Ruv Ling, terrified, shut her eyes tight.

"Ah!"

Just when Ruv Ling believed her fate was sealed, the man with a goatee suddenly let out a sharp, agonized scream.

Ruv Ling opened her eyes, bewildered.

At that moment, the man with a goatee's head had been struck by something, drenched in blood.

"It was him, he hit Boss with a rock!" Scar pointed towards the direction of the cave entrance.

Both Ruv Ling and the others turned to look in that direction, and when Ruv Ling saw who it was, she grasped at hope like a drowning person clutching at a straw.

"Brother Fan! Save me!"

The person who had arrived was Ding Fan!

Scar had seen the whole event clearly. Just as the goatee man was about to force himself on Ruv Ling, Ding Fan had thrown a rock that had struck his head.

The rock flew, and the goatee man's head was bashed open.

However, before the other people in the cave could react, Ding Fan's figure suddenly exploded into action. Scar felt a blur in front of his eyes, and then Ding Fan was already standing before him.

Scar instantly felt a chill on his neck.

"Scar…" Ma Gan, looking as if he'd seen a ghost, gawked at Scar.

Scar wanted to ask Ma Gan what was wrong, but he suddenly experienced a sense of suffocation. He tried to touch his neck, but by then, his head had already fallen from his shoulders…

Such a swift blade... That was Scar's last thought before his body fell heavily to the ground, blood soaking the area.

In his hand, Ding Fan now held a cleaver; evidently, he had just used it to decapitate Scar.

The people inside the cave were all vicious and had done many evil deeds, but they had never seen someone like Ding Fan, who killed without hesitation and with such swiftness.

A single strike to sever the head; merciless and brutal were the words that described Ding Fan.

Ding Fan, who had crawled through mountains of corpses and seas of blood in the Cultivation World, knew that kindness to enemies was cruelty to oneself. Besides, Ding Fan couldn't afford to be merciful now; if he didn't strike hard, he would be overwhelmed and slain by his foes.

"Ma Gan! What the **** are you lot doing, finish him off for me now!" the man with the beard fiercely yelled at his stunned henchmen.

Only then did the men snap out of it. Ma Gan hurriedly bowed, trying to pick up the homemade gun from the ground.

What Ding Fan feared the most were guns. When he arrived here, he had it figured out: prioritize those with guns; once there were no guns, everything else would be easy to handle.

Ding Fan's cleaver swung up; his footsteps shifted rapidly, and then his blade sung out with a sound almost like a dragon's roar.

Splurch… As the cleaver swung through the air, blood splattered everywhere. Ma Gan was instantly cleaved in two, shoulder to shoulder, by Ding Fan's stroke!

With a single slash, a living person was gruesomely split in half!

The amount of strength required was immense: decapitating with the first strike, and the second chopped a live person in half. Just two strokes were enough to petrify everyone there.

Almost all of these bandits had spent time in prison; they had seen ruthless men before, but they had never encountered a beast like Ding Fan.

An old saying goes, they'd seen beasts, but never such a beast.

"You useless fools, all of you attack!" The bearded man saw his remaining three henchmen paralyzed by fear; he grew furious, bent down to grab a cleaver from the ground, and charged at Ding Fan.

Ding Fan's gaze was indifferent, the murderous intent from the bearded man went ignored. In Ding Fan's opinion, the man's charge saved him some trouble.

Splurch!

Just as the bearded man was about to reach Ding Fan, something unexpected happened.

Right as the bearded man was about to reach him, the woman who had previously tricked them into opening the bus door suddenly appeared from behind and slid a dagger into the back of the bearded man's heart.

"You… you bitch, you…"

Bearded man slowly turned around, unable to believe his own eyes; his subordinate had stabbed him in the back.

The woman then followed up with a kick that sent the bearded man tumbling to the ground.

After twitching on the ground for a while, the bearded man lay still; apparently, he was dead.

"I was forced to walk this path, big brother, please spare my life. I already helped you kill Ma Jun, who offended you. I have a ten-year-old child; please, brother, let me go." The woman, while speaking, knelt down on the ground and kept kowtowing to Ding Fan.

The other two men seemed to understand why the woman had stabbed their boss in the back.

Ding Fan's fighting prowess was off the charts. They wouldn't stand a chance even if they ganged up on him. Judging from Ding Fan's decisive manner, he would not spare them. The woman had backstabbed the bearded man only to save her own life.

The other two men knelt down as well. "Brother, we were wrong, please spare us."

Ding Fan glanced at them, knowing that those who stab in the back are not good folks. Now that he had killed, keeping these people alive would be a hassle. Yet, they had surrendered, and Ding Fan found it hard to continue slaying them.

Just as Ding Fan hesitated, the woman suddenly moved to raise her hand.

But before she could, Ding Fan's cleaver had already struck out.

Splurch! The woman was cleaved by Ding Fan, and in her right hand was a handgun. Ding Fan inwardly shuddered, grateful for his timely reaction, otherwise, he might have fallen for the woman's trick.

It seemed the woman's backstabbing of the bearded man followed by kneeling before Ding Fan were all acts to deceive him, aiming to catch him completely off guard and then attack with a handgun!

So vicious.

Ding Fan silently scolded himself for almost feeling mercy just now. Though this wasn't the Cultivation World, the rules were the same.

Kindness to enemies is cruelty to oneself!

Ding Fan's cleaver showed no mercy now, as he swiftly slashed twice more, killing the two men immediately.

Perhaps even in death, those two cursed the woman, thinking if they had simply begged earnestly, they might have had a one percent chance to survive. But the moment the woman plotted to attack Ding Fan, their fates were sealed!

All the bandits were slain. Ding Fan then threw aside his cleaver, walked over, and untied the hands of Ruv Ling, who at some point had passed out.

It was understandable; a young girl might faint at the sight of killing chickens or ducks, let alone people.

Instead of trying to wake Ruv Ling immediately, Ding Fan first collected the loot that the bandits had robbed. Ding Fan was in need of money, and since he had rid society of some menaces, he considered the money as a reward for himself.

After searching the cave, Ding Fan regretted not finding out where the bandits had hidden their treasures first.

He gathered some dry wood and piled the corpses. After lighting them on fire, he carried Ruv Ling out of the cave…
