CHAPTER 106: WHAT YOU CAN LEARN

"The city has a few great things, like this inn right here~." KiRA shook his head at her right as she announced that in her cheerful voice.

She has been having fun since they got here with all the new sights and the things they were going to do here.

There were many things in the city that a couple might find fun— the good inns, the public places and market place to hang out, corners without people. There were fun things to do in those forests filled with all kinds of monsters.

KiRA wanted to go and have fun with hunting, but they needed to find accommodations first.

"Hello~. How can we help you today~?" The inn receptionist greeted the two of them as soon as they crossed the giant wooden gate of the three story building carved from a single tree.

This place was the most famous inn in this city as well as a hub for the city’s rich public. Those in the line of business, those who had money, and those who could spend money in times like these were enjoying the luxuries that this place had to offer.

With the pretty receptionist greeting them, the two of them were also looking forward to their stay here.

"Hello~. We would like the finest rooms you have~. Oh! We have clearance from the captain-."

"Haha, there’s no need for that Miss Isah. The entire city perhaps knows about you by now." The receptionist didn’t need any introductions or IDs.

The news about the appearance of people who were granted the second highest clearance within the city had already reached the ears of those who kept a close eye on everything happening within the city.

While the common public might still be unaware of the two of them, within these city walls, there would be no one who possessed a good enough clearance that did not know about these two.

They were already being watched by those in power, so the entity that was in the center of hospitality and looked after the needs of those with money couldn’t possibly Miss this chance.

"We’re delighted to receive you. And we have already prepared the best sweet we can, huhu." The mature receptionist was not a simple lady either.

She seemed to be a mage with the Mana frequencies present around her.

Unlike most of the inns in this city, this one was like a luxury hotel where only those with money could enter.

The ground floor was also only for reception. There was no one else here aside from the three of them.

This was also the best place that offered privacy that could not be compared with any other place, making it the best pick even for those like the captain guardian.

"Let me guide you personally. You will be staying on the top floor so let us take the elevator."

The elevator was a magic tech that was only available in the main offices of the city guardians.

Throughout the 12th city, this was the only place above the surface that had an elevator.

Perhaps, they were also the only people who possessed one below the city.

"Hehe, see~. They’re just so good." Izzy was happy to get this special treatment.

She did expect it, but seeing how they were taking them to the top floor directly, it was clear that the people of [Magus’ Broom] were aware of more than just their clearance levels.

The news of their fight with the captain wouldn’t have leaked out since they were by themselves in that arena, but there was a certain chance that the information on how the captain did not fight them directly had gotten out.

To those who could access someone’s power levels and financial status like these people, it wouldn’t be surprising if someone like the two suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"They are professionals that know their work. Didn’t I tell you they would be good. Going to Lady Veronica wasn’t necessary after all." KiRA deliberately said that part out loud and the receptionist almost lost her composure.

Hearing that name was the same as hearing the name of an archenemy from their most important guests.

Those in the hospitality line were trained to not lose their composure in the cities of the 3rd floor but if there was something that could make her like this, then it was obviously something of a significant level.

"Looks like you knew more than we expected." The receptionist activated the magic elevator that did not have any individual buttons but a single control panel that was operated with Mana.

Her back that faced the two of them was pretty attractive as well, but even though she was facing away, there was no way she could deceive the eyes of these two.

"Oh, we know a thing of two about a thing or two. You are doing your job and we do not have any complaints with it. It’s not like Owl would care about his ’top’ one even if we filed a complaint."

Her eyes widened further, this time with almost concern.

She wanted to stop the elevator and attack the two of them. Imprison them and ask them how they knew about their boss and the relationships he had with his employees.

"Is that so? Huhu, looks like we will have to treat you well then~."

She controlled herself with great difficulty. There was nothing she could do about someone that even the city’s guardian captain had given up fighting against.

She wasn’t anywhere strong enough to take down Izzy, much less KiRA who she couldn’t even judge the power of.

They were certainly unfathomable, so she gave up on fighting and instead decided to take care of them with the best that they had.

"It’s understandable why he likes you so much..." KiRA smiled at her as soon as the elevator stopped.

Then, Izzy also jumped up to calm her down, hugging her from behind as if it was the most normal thing to do.

"It’s fine, it’s fine. He says some weird things sometimes, but he’s a good guy~. You will start liking him after seeing him around for a while." Izzy was the first to jump out into their personal sweet as well.

"I’ll go get the refreshments. Kai, sit her down and don’t let her go. And! Don’t scare her anymore!"

Izzy had issued the warning, so KiRA wouldn’t go any further than that.

He had already achieved what he wanted though.

"You can have a seat, Miss receptionist." Those red eyes had revealed the information like a poisonous serpent.

They not only knew about the owner of this place, they were also aware of the workings of this place and her role here.

They spoke as if they knew the owner when even the guardian captain had never seen him.

He was intimidating and she wanted to just run away from there at this very moment, but she did not do so.

She was stuck here... unless he told her to, she knew damn well she could not even lift a finger here.

She was now dancing in the palm of his hand.

With his partner laying a piano from a completely different stage.
