Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing
Chapter 112: Is there anything you want to learn?
CHAPTER 112: IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO LEARN?
[30th City, The Guardian captain’s personal Training arena.]
"That footwork, what do you call it?"
"Hmm?"
The question came out of the blue this time. This was the first time she had asked him about his technique.
"It’s not simply made to counter my movement technique. It’s a different technique, something unrefined." After seeing it for so many times, she was aware that the technique that Ziggy was using wasn’t as simple as it seemed.
He was holding back... or perhaps there was something that was holding him back from using the full potential of this footwork technique.
The movement technique was also not simply a footwork technique, it was simply a part of it.
The complete movement technique incorporated the entire Aura channels in his body, allowing him a sudden burst of instantaneous movement whenever he needed it.
It was complex and most certainly not something the people of the lower floors would know about.
"As expected, you caught on already." Ziggy was on the ground, covered in small cuts and sweat, his entire body burning after the intense training session the two of them had just now.
His legs weren’t moving anymore, all the muscles throughout his body were sore and he was thirsty. But he did not want to overhydrate himself so he was sipping on his water bottle through a straw.
"Gulp
. It’s a movement technique I learned in Murim. The person who taught this to me, my second teacher, called it [Seven Steps of Enlightenment]."
In his time in the Tower of Beginning, he has had three teachers, the person sitting beside him, the person that was originally a [Transcendent] of the 90th floor, and a unique entity from a different dimension.
Thanks to the three of them, he had learned many things throughout his time in this tower.
"While the time we spent together was pretty brief, that person taught me this movement technique. The footwork is something I derived from the movement technique to counter you, however, the original Movement technique is something I cannot use with my current stats."
Just like how he had three teachers, Izzy has had someone who taught her various things. The same was true for KiRA, however as someone who had climbed the highest floor of that tower, he had many people he had learned many things from.
In the many reruns he had to achieve the final perfect clear, he had made several friends and enemies. He cherished many of them, and he wanted to meet a few of them if possible in this tower as well.
’But seeing how this floor is going, I doubt he will be as optimistic as he used to be.’
Knowing him, however, Ziggy knew there was nothing he needed to worry about.
"The Murim spans from 40th floor to the 45th floor so it seems like you already know a lot more than you let out. I see you have been going easy on me, huh my dear student."
There was a playful smile on her face.
She wanted to tease him as well so she moved her hand as if she was going to rub the cut wounds on his legs... and he instinctively moved her body away as well, putting a bigger smile on her face.
"I’m not hiding anything. I can’t do a lot of things with the limited skills and stats I have right now. This is also just the 3rd floor. It’s not like I am supposed to be able to split mountains and freeze forests."
The experts of murim would laugh at him for saying something like that. It was the basics for them... unless one was able to split mountains, they weren’t true Martial artists.
"I wasn’t making fun of you, silly~. Don’t be grumpy like that." He was pretty fun to tease like this. Being with him had been a pretty fun experience for her these past few days.
He was strong and even if she used new tactics that he didn’t know of, he was quick to adapt.
He gave her a good fight and on many occasions, he even pushed her far enough to almost defeat her.
If it wasn’t for the difference in their stats, she would have been defeated by him a while ago.
"But seriously..." Looking at him with a new gloomy expression, she finally asked him something that had been on her mind for a while. "You already know so much... is there anything you even want to learn from me at this point?"
She was already aware that he knew everything that has to know about her combat techniques. He knew about her skills, he was also stronger than her.
When she started sparring with him, he was still not used to her combat methods. But now things are different.
Now, he had already grasped everything there was to her techniques.
"Hmm? Why are you suddenly asking something like that?" Ziggy wasn’t expecting this either.
She was strong and loved fighting. The simple fun of the battles was the reason she he had been enjoying their battles.
He may be stronger than the other players, but he was still not strong enough to defeat someone like her.
"You haven’t even used half of your powers so why do you have that look of defeat?" Ziggy wanted to answer the question she was asking, but before that, he looked her in the eye closely
"Are you worried that despite being my ’teacher’ that you right now have practically taught me nothing? Are you wondering if it’s right for me to call you my teacher and master if you haven’t even taught me something?" He knew her so he made a guess.
"Huh?" And from the look that screamed that he had just read her mind, he knew he was spot on as well.
"Ptff," But that only made him almost laugh out loud. "You’re as funny as ever, Master~."
She was wondering how he would react when she asked that question and after gathering the courage to actually ask it, he was laughing at her?
-Smack!
"Awww!"
He knew he deserved it, but that hurt. With the existing unbearable pain throughout his body, that simple smack on his back was far more painful than it should have been...
"You didn’t have to do it..." He was almost in tears now.
"You shouldn’t have laughed then." Turning her head away from the ungrateful one, she looked away from him with subtle anger.
She did not understand why she was suddenly so upset, but he did.
"Haaa... even if you haven’t taught me anything yet, it does not mean there’s nothing you can teach me.
Besides, even if you don’t consider yourself to be the same person that taught me, for me, you are the master that I have learned from.
Also, it’s not like there’s nothing you can teach me."
She was flustered this time, but that last sentence lit a new fire in her eyes.
"Wait, really?" Hearing the previous words strangely moved something inside her. But that last line was what she found the most meaningful.
"I wanted to wait a little longer so that you can enjoy yourself with these duels, but if you want to help me anyway..."
Even if there wasn’t anything she could teach him directly, he was learning a lot by just being with her.
Their sparring sessions helped him get used to his strength and get a better grasp of his abilities.
But more than any of this, an expert Aura user like her could help a novice in a different way as well.
"Can you help me create the Aura Core?"
It was a difficult request, but he knew with her help, it would, ultimately, be possible.
