Transmigrated as a Rare Female: Beast Husbands Love Me Exclusively
Chapter 29: The Rutting Black Serpent
CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29: THE RUTTING BLACK SERPENT
Ruan Li had just finished her shower and was drying her wet hair when she suddenly received a message from Shi Jue.
[Shi Jue: Ruannuan, are you free now?
Ruan Li: It’s fine. Is there something you need?
Shi Jue: Nothing in particular, I just feel like talking to you.
Ruan Li: Okay.]
Ruan Li opened the door, seeing Shi Jue standing awkwardly at the entrance. His ears were flushed red, and he was looking to the side.
"Is there something you need?"
"Nothing... Can I come inside to talk?" Shi Jue felt so nervous at the thought of what he had hidden beneath his pajamas that he was struggling to speak.
Ruan Li turned and went inside. Shi Jue followed her, with a faint fragrance lingering at his nose, causing the heat on his cheeks to rise.
"Alright, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Ruan Li stopped and turned to look at Shi Jue.
Shi Jue blushed, momentarily trapped in internal conflict, but the more he thought about it, the more he felt he must give it a try...
He shyly lowered his head slightly, his hand movements amplifying inadvertently, letting the already loose collar of his pajamas slip down halfway, revealing an enticing array of sculpted abdominal muscles. He subtly exerted force, striving to present every muscle on his body in the most perfect manner before Ruan Li.
The overwhelming sight made Ruan Li quietly gulp, quickly turning her face away and only daring to sneak glances with her peripheral vision.
"Your, your clothes have slipped," she said, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"Ah? Oh, alright," Shi Jue’s face was red, and he dared not look at Ruan Li again. Had he not tried hard enough, or used the wrong methods of seduction? Otherwise, why was she not even tempted?
Thinking about all the dangerous discussions he had read on the Star Network, like "Female Head overpowers Beast Husband," added to his sense of loss.
Bravely rejected once more, Shi Jue was inwardly dejected, yet he maintained a smile.
Until Ruan Li repeated the question, Shi Jue hurriedly searched for an excuse, "I -- Your hair hasn’t been dried yet, right? Let me dry it for you."
Ruan Li looked at him with a peculiar gaze, seeming to say: You came to talk, just to dry my hair?
The warm blow dryer hummed softly, as rough fingertips gently massaged the scalp, sending refreshing sweetness deep into his senses, making his head spin with warmth.
Ruan Li had to admit, after an exhausting shower, having someone dry her hair was an immense pleasure.
The sound of the blow dryer ceased, even if reluctant, it was time to part.
Shi Jue’s fingers were still savoring the smooth touch of hair sliding through them, yet his voice reluctantly said, "Get a good night’s sleep, I’ll head back to my room."
It was only after Shi Jue closed the door to his room that he lost all composure.
He was an idiot!
Reflecting back on the evening, he had missed two chances!
Amidst heartache, there came reflection.
Shi Jue still wondered, was it because he had not performed well enough, or that his seduction techniques were lacking, otherwise why would Ruan Li not even give him a glance?
The master bedroom’s lights had turned off, Ruan Li completely ensconced herself beneath the covers, leaving only her head exposed for breathing.
Exhaustion from the day had her asleep as soon as her head touched the pillow.
The crescent moon hung high, as a shimmer flashed by the window under the luminous moonlight.
Dark eyes hid within the shadows, reflecting the moonlight.
The sleeping girl, a gentle fragrance wafting about.
The cold, damp sensation once again swept over Ruan Li’s dreams, trapped in an endless chase within a manor, a colossal black snake constantly on her heels, almost catching her each time, as if toying with a small mouse.
She dashed into a castle and closed the door, panting heavily, thinking she was finally safe, only to turn and see three black shadows with emerald-green pupils gazing at her.
The clinging, cold sensation grew increasingly intense.
It was as if something was brushing past her skin, hard icy scales grazing along...
Half-asleep, Ruan Li realized she was once more entangled by a black snake in its heat phase.
However, hadn’t Lu Mufeng left?
How did he find her room?
This time, Ruan Li knew that the black snake binding her was a conscious, thinking Beastman, unlike the fear she felt the first time.
She whispered a curse, "Lu Mufeng! What are you doing!"
The black snake hissed, flicking its tongue, while its vertical pupils greedily and icily fixed on her moving lips.
Seeing the snake refusing to release her, Ruan Li tried to pry him off with her hands, "Lu Mufeng, change back, don’t stay in snake form."
The black snake ignored her, and as she pried one loop off, another twined around again.
Growing somewhat annoyed, Ruan Li demanded, "Let me go, or I’ll really get mad." Holding the snake’s jaw in her hand, she urged.
Sparkling black pupils regarded her quietly, then shifted to coil aside, keeping only a third of its upper body pressed against her neck, clinging close.
Enigmatic black eyes gazed at Ruan Li.
Seeming to convey: I’ve obeyed, don’t be angry.
Ruan Li was puzzled as to how Lu Mufeng ended up on her bed at night, clinging to her like this.
For now, getting the snake out of her room was urgent.
The atmosphere remained at an impasse.
Suddenly the snake lowered its head, brushing its tongue against her cheek.
Then it lifted its head, looking at her with an utterly innocent gaze.
"At least change back to human form," Ruan Li pleaded, unable to handle being stared at with such a large, innocent snake head, as any normal human would find it insurmountable.
The injured-looking snake lowered its head, sighing heavily.
The snake began to slowly shed its skin, bodily restructuring.
The icy sensation on its body started to warm, though it remained relatively cool.
A powerful arm looped around Ruan Li’s neck, pulling her abruptly into the man’s robust chest.
"Hiss"
Her nose bumped painfully, causing her to wince.
The custom-fitted officer’s uniform peeled away to reveal taut, firm muscles. Cool, white skin pressed against her, sending shivers through her.
Ruan Li immediately sought to push him away.
But Lu Mufeng held her tightly in his embrace.
Gunmetal-skinned with lingering black scales, his bare upper body was dotted with numerous scars, both old and new, big and small.
"Don’t move,"
His deep, gravelly voice abruptly stopped Ruan Li’s attempts to push him away.
Such a voice carried innate danger.
Holding her breath instinctively, Ruan Li dared not move, fearing an unintended escalation.
Time passed, and Ruan Li felt her limbs growing stiff and uncomfortable with Lu Mufeng’s cold and warm presence against her.
The heavy breathing began to gradually even out.
Even the scales on his skin fully receded.
Ruan Li spoke, her voice hoarse: "Are you done?"
"Not yet," that familiar deep tone answered.
"Then please release me, let me adjust my position, lying on my side is uncomfortable." Ruan Li negotiated softly, as much for her safety as the discomfort.
