CHAPTER 51: CH:51 SUPPORT MAGE, OFFENSIVE MOOD

Evos sneered, and than he lifted his massive axe resting over one shoulder like it weighed nothing.

"Hahaha... little brat," he growled, his eyes glowing faint red with bloodlust. "Just stay down already. This is all fun and games until you die from my axe."

He stepped forward, slow and heavy like a walking avalanche.

"You should be honored, you know..." he said darkly, voice dripping with menace. "Not everyone gets the privilege of being crushed by me."

But—

Dila, leaning on her staff, let out a small breath and grinned.

"Honor...?" she repeated softly, then tilted her head back and laughed.

"Honor my ass! Hahaha!"

The crowd gasped. Some choked on their drinks.

Even the guild master’s mustache twitched.

Dila’s voice carried across the obsidian arena as she stood tall, still trembling but never breaking eye contact.

"Buddy, I didn’t come here to die. I came here for a card. A card. You think I’m gonna let some sweaty axe-swinging musclehead stomp me over paperwork?"

She pointed her Arcane Staff directly at Evos, the floating shards around it now glowing with active mana.

"I’m not scared of your ’honor.’ I’m scared of wasting my time."

Fran’s eyes sparkled from the stands.

Sarios leaned forward, nodding proudly. "Now that’s the Dila I know confident and never give up."

And from within Dila’s mind, Nari’s voice rang out with a small cheer:

☆ Hooray! Now roast him, Master! ☆

Dila slammed the base of her Arcane Staff into the obsidian floor once more. The impact echoed like a war drum.

She raised her voice with firm resolve.

"Earthrea!"

The magic sigil beneath her feet flared bright gold. A ripple of mana pulsed outward, causing the ground to hum beneath everyone’s boots. Then—

Rumble...

From the black stone of the arena itself, a shape emerged.

Chunks of obsidian split and curled upward like clay being pulled by invisible hands. The fragments hardened and melded, forming a hulking figure—six feet tall, broad-shouldered, glowing faintly at the chest where Dila’s magic sealed the core.

The creature stood with glowing blue eyes, its fists like compressed boulders. Lines of enchanted runes flickered along its arms like veins of light.

The crowd gasped as the Golem raised both arms and pounded its fists together with a deep, thunderous BOOM.

Dila twirled her glowing staff, energy flaring, and shouted her second command:

"Bloom Flare Chaine!"

A pulse of radiant blue magic surged from her staff and wrapped the golem’s body like a shimmering spiral. The runes across its chest lit up like stars, and the golem let out a deep mechanical groan as its power spiked.

The magical core pulsed.

Dila pointed her staff at Evos, her blue eyes fierce and locked.

"This guy is your opponent."

Evos raised an eyebrow, then scoffed with a wide grin.

"Your toy companion?" he repeated, chuckling. "You think this mud puppet can stop me?"

He cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders, gripping his massive axe with both hands.

"Fine then. Bring it on! I’m waiting for a good pummeling!"

He stepped forward, raising his axe overhead.

"And after I crush your little rock buddy... I’ll pummel you second!"

He burst out into booming laughter.

Dila didn’t flinch. Her voice was cool and smug.

"Then try not to trip over your ego before the golem reaches you."

The crowd roared with mixed reactions—some laughed, others cheered, and some leaned forward, sensing the coming clash.

Nari whispered into her mind with a sparkle in her voice:

☆ Ohhh yes, Master. Give him the rocky smackdown! ☆

The golem lowered into a battle stance.

The duel had truly begun.

The crowd held its breath.

Then Evos suddenly roared, his voice booming across the obsidian dome.

"ARGHHHHH—YEAH!"

He charged like a boulder let loose, dragging his giant axe behind him. Sparks burst from the stone with every step.

CLANG!

He swung the axe from the left.

BOOM!

He slashed it from the right.

CRASH!

Another overhead slam.

The Golem raised its massive arms in an X-block, taking each blow head-on. Stone dust exploded with every hit. The force of the strikes made its feet grind against the obsidian, skidding back. Finally, its right knee dropped—slamming into the ground with a heavy thud.

From a safe distance, Dila flipped back midair, landing in a crouch behind a cracked pillar.

She brushed her hair with a flick and whistled.

"Whew~ Evos packs a punch. Not bad," she mused with a smirk.

Then she deadpanned, tilting her head slightly.

"...Meh. I’d call it mid-tier."

Evos snarled through his teeth, veins bulging across his arms as he kept hammering down.

"RAHHHH!! JUST STAY DOWN!!"

He brought the axe crashing down like a guillotine—one final, monstrous swing.

But this time... the Golem moved.

In one smooth motion, it lifted its left palm, caught the axe mid-swing—

CLANGGG!!

The entire arena shook.

Sparks flew as magic surged between the blade and stone hand. Obsidian fragments crumbled from the floor where the Golem dug its feet in. Its glowing blue eyes flared brighter.

Evos blinked. His muscles locked.

"What the—?!"

The Golem’s massive fingers tightened around the axe blade.

Crack.

Evos yanked, but the weapon didn’t budge.

"What the fuck?!"

BOOM!

The Golem twisted, ripping the axe to the side and throwing Evos off balance.

The crowd gasped as Evos stumbled backward, nearly falling. For the first time... he looked stunned.

Up on the balcony, the Guild Master’s eyebrows lifted.

"Well now..."

Back in the arena, Dila stepped into view again, casually spinning her staff once in her hand.

"You said he was just a toy, right?"

She smirked.

"Too bad he doesn’t play fair."

Then Dila eyes narrowed, clutching her white-and-gold Arcane Staff as it floated beside her, orbiting like a loyal companion.

She took a deep breath.

"Alright... let’s try something wild," she whispered.

Her fingers flicked with precise motion, casting a faint golden thread of mana from her fingertips to the golem.

"Earthrea... follow my movements."

Her eyes gleamed.

Memories flashed—clips from martial arts videos she used to binge back on Earth: spinning kicks, controlled strikes, acrobatic sweeps. She smiled slightly.

"Let’s see if stone can dance."

Suddenly—

Earthrea’s eyes flared brighter again.

The hulking stone golem charged forward, BOOM-BOOM-BOOM, pounding against the obsidian ground like a rolling tank.

Evos raised his hands with a smirk—"Here it comes again!"

But then—

Earthrea leapt.

Its body twisted midair with shocking grace. Like a spinning top of rock and force, it rotated sideways—

WHAMMM!!

A massive roundhouse kick slammed into Evos from the left.

The giant brawler grunted, forced to use his left hand to block the blow and hit his arm like a wrecking ball.

Crack!

The obsidian floor beneath his boots fractured.

A cloud of smoke burst out from the impact.

As the dust cleared, Evos was still standing, feet dug into the stone, his arms slightly steaming from the impact.

He chuckled, rubbing one sore wrist.

"Not bad... for a toy, sissy."

He rolled his neck again with a sickening crack, smirking at Dila.

Dila tilted her head. Her smirk widened.

"Oh? A talking sandbag."

Evos cracked his knuckles, grin wide, eyes glinting with savage delight.

"Let’s go, stone doll! Fist to fist!"

BOOM!

A direct punch slammed into Earthrea’s face, sending a brief ripple of cracks along the golem’s cheek.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two more heavy strikes—left and right hooks—crashed into the golem’s arms as it instinctively raised them to guard.

The ground beneath them quaked, loose dust rising like smoke from their duel.

Evos laughed between punches, unrelenting.

"Where’s your fight now, huh?! Come on! Show me more!"

CRACK—!

Suddenly, a swift uppercut—faster than the rest—slammed into the golem’s core.

Earthrea’s massive body was hurled upward, lifted off its feet from the raw impact. Its limbs flailed in midair for half a second before it crashed down, causing the entire obsidian arena to rumble.

THUD!!

The golem landed hard on one right knee, half-kneeling, arms out for balance.

Its stone chest smoked slightly. Its glowing eyes flickered once.

From the spectator stands, Fran gasped, holding her breath.

Sarios clenched his fists, leaning forward in worry.

Back on the field—

Dila’s heart pounded. Her grip on the staff tightened.

"...This is bad," she muttered.

Suddenly—

☆ Warning: Golem integrity at 88%.

Cascade Shield cannot transfer.

Heavy damage threshold exceeded. ☆

Nari’s voice was quick but serious—slightly shaken.

"Crap..." Dila cursed under her breath.

Her eyes scanned Earthrea’s stance. The golem was still functional—but wobbling slightly.

The shield reroute system she relied on had failed. Too much pressure, too quickly.

"No defense backup..."

She bit her lip, thinking fast.

Then looked up at Evos, who stood tall—grinning with bruised knuckles and bloodlust in his eyes.

"You’re not getting up again after this!" he roared, stomping forward.

Dila’s eyes narrowed.

"...We’ll see about that."

But, will instead Dila wiped the sweat off her brow, pressing two fingers to her temple.

"Nari! Status?"

☆ Integrity: 88%. Mana link active... but regeneration speed is slooow. ☆

"I know it’s slow," Dila gritted her teeth. "I’ve been pouring mana into Earthrea nonstop!"

☆ Sigh... Master... why don’t you try pouring more mana in? ☆

Dila blinked. "I am! I’ve been channeling for a full minute now!"

☆ Oh... right... uh...☆

A pause.

☆ You’re still level 25. My bad. ☆

"EXCUSE ME!?" Dila nearly face-faulted onto the obsidian again. "You made it sound like I had an energy faucet!"

☆ I mean, you kinda do... but it’s more like a dripping faucet right now... hehe ☆

"Nari I swear, if you weren’t a system voice I’d—!"

☆ You’d what? Fight me? I’m made of sparkles and code ☆

Dila groaned and refocused, trying to stabilize Earthrea’s frame with whatever mana she could push through the link.

"Ughhh... come on, come on... just hold a bit longer, big guy."

From the sidelines, Fran was gripping her seat with both hands, watching with wide eyes.

Sarios, meanwhile, muttered under his breath, "Why does this feel like watching a little girl pilot a golem with duct tape and snacks..."
