Transmigrated into Another Apocalyptic World (BL)
Chapter 257 - 256: About Sid
CHAPTER 257: CHAPTER 256: ABOUT SID
"You finally learned something. We have given up in persuading you to stop being overly doting on your brother. That’s great!" Eric said happily while patting Dan’s shoulders.
"Yeah, you should stop treating him like he’s fragile. He’s not the kid who used to get sick all the time anymore. Look, he obviously wanted to learn something from the other kids," Billy said.
"He is probably interested in killing zombies himself just like the other kids," Raffy also added.
"If you are worried about his health, then you should just let him improve his ability. As his superpowers get stronger, he would also become healthier," Luciel said.
As long as the people with superpowers get stronger, their bodies would also get stronger and healthier.
The stronger their abilities, the less likely they are to get sick.
"I know," Dan said while looking at Sid.
Luciel also looked at where Astrid and the others were, and it was obvious that Sid indeed wanted to learn something from Astrid and the others.
Sid was watching Violet and Bella fighting each other while asking questions from Austin and Owen, who were training themselves near him.
While looking at Sid, a character with the same name from the novel Luciel had read flashed through his mind.
In the middle of the novel, Treyton had a lover called Sid. Treyton had only been involved with the person called Sid for a brief month before Sid was killed off by another aspiring lover of Treyton.
Luiel recalled what he knew and then asked, "By the way, how old is Sid?"
He asked because he wanted to confirm something.
"Sid is 16 years old," Dan answered.
"Oh, I thought he was the same age or even younger because he was still smaller than Owen and Austin, but he was actually 2 years older than them."
"Because of his health, he had always been smaller than others his age," Dan said with a sigh.
"I see," Luciel said and didn’t ask any more questions.
With what Dan said, Luciel confirmed that Sid, whom they met, was the same Sid who became the lover of Treyton in the middle of the novel.
The middle of the novel’s timeline is set five to six years after the beginning of the apocalypse, so Sid would have been an adult by then.
He knew that it was the same person because, according to what he read, Sid had people who had taken care of him, but unfortunately, they died in a zombie wave before meeting Treyton.
According to the brief character introduction, Sid had a brother named Dan who had taken care of him from childhood until he died.
The person who had handed Sid to Treyton and the others before dying was Billy.
They had the same experiences as revealed in the book; the names of the people around them were the same; their ability was the same; and their age also matched up after a few more years.
Thus, Luciel was certain that the Sid he was currently looking at was the same one from the novel.
It seemed that Dan and the others really had enough ability, as they managed to survive for at least five to six more years before dying.
The environment around them would just continue getting worse, and the danger level would keep getting higher, so surviving for 5 or 6 more years means that Dan and the others were also powerful enough to survive that long.
But in the novel, they weren’t in the north base but somewhere else, and they had died because of a zombie wave.
Billy only managed to send Sid to the rescuers before he also turned into a zombie because he was already injured by zombies while escaping.
Sid became Treyton’s lover after something happened, but Sid died just after a month.
In the novel, even though Sid wasn’t as naive or as weak as he is now, he wasn’t particularly strong either.
His personality did improve a bit, but he still wasn’t cautious enough, as he was ultimately deceived by others and pushed toward the zombies by someone who claimed to be his friend.
In the novel, Dan probably didn’t manage to properly instill cautiousness in Sid.
He didn’t know how Sid managed to survive in the novel without the food that he gave, but at least he still managed to survive for years.
Unfortunately, Dan didn’t do a good job in teaching his brother for years, so in the end he died because of trusting others easily.
Sid was even only mentioned in a few Chapters of the novel, and the person who killed him had appeared in more Chapters than he did.
So, Luciel didn’t immediately remember him, even though Sid was the first person he had met in the blue apartment.
Even when he learned what his name was, he didn’t associate him with any characters in the novel at all.
He only managed to connect Sid as the character in the novel after hearing a lot of information from the others.
It seemed that even though they weren’t following the plot of the novel any longer, Treyton would still meet the people he had met in the novel even if in different circumstances.
For example, Treyton met Sid when he was already an adult and when his older brother was already dead.
But when they return to the north, then Treyton would already be able to meet Sid even though he was still young.
Another example is the villain Azim, Treyton only met Azim when Azim was already wrecking havoc here and there.
So, Luciel would probably meet a lot of people who were involved with Treyton in the novel.
Well, even if Luciel met a lot of people that Treyton had met in the novel, it wouldn’t be a problem as long as he isn’t disturbed.
It was also true for Sid, who might be a future lover of Treyton.
If Treyton met Sid now, the chance of Sid becoming Treyton’s lover would become extremely slim.
Sid was still very young now, so if Sid met Treyton now, then Sid doesn’t have any chance at all.
And of course the most important reason was because he was still alive and well.
Luciel knew that Treyton was still satisfied with their relationship, so he was unlikely to look for someone else.
After Dan and the others had rested a bit after trying the effect of the zombie crystals, they began using the zombie crystals.
They also finally called Sid to also try the method of using zombie crystals.
They didn’t move away from the place that they had stopped at any longer as the others were focused on their training and because the temperature was also too hot.
The temperature really isn’t that suitable for traveling any longer.
In the following days, they continued traveling very early in the morning and stopping to rest at 1p.m. to avoid the sun and of course for them to continue improving their abilities using the zombie crystals that they were getting when they were traveling every morning and of course from the zombies that they were cleaning up when setting up a place for them to stay.
Dan and the others also followed their agreement and gave 20 percent of the zombie crystals that they had managed to collect.
They don’t even have to watch at night because Dan and the others didn’t include them in their shifts at all.
While they were traveling, most of the things that they had to fight were zombies, and they also didn’t meet a lot of level 2 zombies, so they didn’t have problems.
The kids continued fighting zombies when they could while Luciel would just stand near the car and watch what the kids were doing.
He only took action once when they were attacked by zombie dogs.
When they were fighting zombies on the road, zombie dogs suddenly came from an alley and immediately attacked them.
When Luciel saw the first zombie dog appearing near Austin and Violet, he immediately threw the dagger in his hand at the zombie dog.
The dagger managed to hit the zombie dog in the eye, and because of the force of the throw, the zombie dog didn’t manage to move forward.
Luciel didn’t do anything after throwing the dagger at the zombie dog because he knew that Dan and the others were also watching Astrid and the other kids, and they were closer compared to where he was.
Dan, who was nearby, immediately formed a metal barrier and then slammed the barrier into the zombie dog.
Dan didn’t give the zombie dog a chance and let the metal barrier grow metal spikes and managed to hit the zombie head deeply.
While Dan killed the first zombie dog that appeared, Billy, Raffy, and Eric also dealt with two more zombies that came out from the alley.
All of them responded quickly, so nothing bad happened to any of them.
