The Omega trembled in front of me, her eyes avoiding mine from both fear and guilt. She bared her neck.
My fingers twitched to rip her throat out, but I knew deep down she wasn’t the mastermind of this charade.
"Tell me who is behind this, and I’ll let you go," I mindlinked her.
Normally, an Alpha cannot mindlink an outsider under another Alpha’s protection. But I am Lycan, and all werewolves answer to me.
She whimpered and didn’t say anything.
"Do you want me to cut off your limbs before you start talking?" I growled.
Maddie noticed we were not talking, so she walked closer and yanked the Omega up. "Why did you poison my sister?" She grabbed her neck, strangling the life out of her.
A deep growl rumbled from my chest, one that sent chills down the spine of every creature. "Let go of her... NOW!" my voice thundered.
Her hands loosened around the Omega’s neck. The Omega slumped to the ground, gasping for air.
"Tell me now!" I mindlinked her again.
"It is Miss Maddie."
And that was all I needed to hear. I rose up.
"Alpha Damon, don’t let her go free. You must take revenge for my sister," she cried.
"How did you know Ember was drugged? I believe she wouldn’t come to you with the goodness of her heart to tell you that she had drugged her... right?" I drawled, cornering her into the wall.
Her eyes widened. "No... I caught the scent of aphrodisiac on her... so I brought her here for questioning," she said, her voice quivering.
"I would never do anything to hurt my sister, especially not when it would affect you. You know how much I care about you, Alpha," she added.
"The more reason for you to act."
"Just snap her neck already, no need for the chit-chat," Beowulf growled at me.
I ignored him. I wanted to feed on her fear; I wanted to see how far she would hide her deeds, and when she thought she had already gotten away, I would take hope from her.
"Rip her head off," Beowulf growled again, pouncing in my mind.
"The drug can only be found in the vampires’ realm... and, of course, in the Blood Moon pack." As I mentioned the Blood Moon pack, the blood on her face drained. "There is no way a lowly Omega can afford the drug, not only is it expensive, but it is very... very rare."
"Alpha Damon, it isn’t me," she waved frantically to deny the claim.
I hummed. "I’ll leave your body intact, but all you have to do is drink the drug... we are not going to mix it, of course." A small smirk formed on my lips.
"Get out," I ordered the Omega.
The Omega dragged her pitiful body out of the room. I’ll deal with her later, but first, I need to finish the matter at hand.
Her eyes widened. "Why?"
And there went the last string of my patience. I grabbed her neck, slamming her against the wall. Before she could cry or register what was happening, I popped the lid off the bottle, pouring the contents into her mouth without wasting a single drop.
I tilted her head up, letting the drug slide down her throat.
"No... no... no!" she cried as her legs buckled beneath her.
"Why didn’t we just rip her head off?" Beowulf asked angrily.
"Because sometimes, some things are more devastating than death," I muttered, striding out of the room with hands tucked in my pocket. I whistled in a sinister tone, leaving her behind so she could crumble her world by herself.
.......
(Third POV)
Maddie fell to the ground, her wolf pacing within her to break out. Sweat trickled down her temples as her insides burned with a scorching heat. Heat pooled in her lower abdomen.
She wriggled, tugging at her hair, unsure of what she needed. Her back arched, her body begging to be touched.
She had never known these desires, and now she wasn’t sure what to do. She squeezed her thighs together, but it didn’t help.
Her body burned so much that her cheeks flushed, and even her skin had turned red.
She scrambled to her feet and yanked her clothes off. Her mother had told her how potent the drug was when mixed with drinks, but she had just drunk the concentrated form.
Tears trickled down her cheeks at the thought of going crazy. She needed to look for someone to help her, or she might evaporate to death.
Her fingers shakily gripped the wall outside the mansion, her back resting against it, her legs clenched tightly together. The cold air whipped against her face, but it felt hot to her.
Her heart somersaulted in her ribcage. Her hair stuck to her face. She was sweating profusely, and all she could think about was quenching the fire between her legs.
Then she heard the voices of men talking not too far away. She ran towards them, as if her life depended on it.
Her foot swept through the dirt as she dragged herself hastily in their direction.
The three men stopped when they heard a ragged breath coming from behind them, then a sweet, alluring scent hit them. Growls rumbled from their chests.
She stopped in front of them. "Take me... all of you."
Without a second thought, she jumped on the man in the middle. Her legs clasped around his waist.
"Miss Maddie... stop... stop..." his words turned into a muffled cry as Maddie kissed him and rocked herself against his hips.
The other two exchanged a knowing glance, but they were hesitant. This was the Alpha’s daughter, after all.
"What are you all waiting for? Take me!" she cried. She reached out, pulling the man to her right closer, shoving his head into her chest.
Her hands caressed his hair as he sucked on her peaches.
"Let’s find a secure place," the other man said, before leading them to the tall grasses behind.
