Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet
Chapter 107 Let’s Go Home
CHAPTER 107: CHAPTER 107 LET’S GO HOME
Alpha Caelen gritted his teeth. If Damon wasn’t a royal and a Lycan, he would have fought him to the death, but there was no chance of survival for him.
"This is just a warning to all of you. Touch what belongs to me, and this is what you will get," Damon said menacingly.
Even Maddie stopped in her tracks, whimpering from the pressure.
"I don’t care if you treat her like family or not, but anyone that hurts her will have to go through me first," Damon added.
I looked up at him, my eyes welling upon hearing his words. This was the most touching thing I had heard in my life, though it was said in a cold way.
Has he fallen for me? Because if he hadn’t, he wouldn’t have gone this far for me, straining his relationship with other Alphas. Am I this special to him?
Alpha Caelen turned to me, his eyes softened a little when they landed on me.
"Tell me, what did Maddie and Erik do to deserve these punishments?"
Damon clicked his tongue, annoyance flickering through. I believed if there was one thing he didn’t like doing, it would be explaining himself.
"Maddie and Erik drugged me with an aphrodisiac so that Erik could violate me," I said, sparing them the trouble.
Alpha Caelen’s eyes narrowed.
"If that is true, why would they do that?"
"Father, that is a lie. I never took any part in this. Why would I want to drug her? Wasn’t I nice to her when she came back? Father, she just wants to frame me and destroy my reputation," Maddie cried.
Evelyn walked up to her, pulling her into a hug.
"Shhh. Everything is going to be fine."
Evelyn turned to face me, and a sinister glint flickered through her eyes.
"Let’s hear what they have to say then. Even if Alpha Damon might be overbearing and brute, he wouldn’t do all of this without a tangible reason," Alpha Caelen closed his eyes, as if he was trying to convince himself with those words.
"She wasn’t any nice to me when I came back, she was only pretending to be. I believe I don’t need to tell you what your daughter is truly like. She drugged me so that when Erik violated me, Alpha Damon would have to throw me out of his pack. Well, that would be if I were lucky enough. To cut a long story short, she did it to remove me from Damon’s side and to be his Luna," my chest heaved with anger.
My hands clenched tightly as anger rushed through me. Damon turned to look at me, his eyes swirling with an amused glint.
Alpha Caelen turned to Maddie.
"Is this true? You did it because you wanted to become Alpha Damon’s Luna? But was Ember standing in your way? She is nothing more than a breeder."
"She is not a breeder. She is my pet. Don’t make me correct you again," Damon growled.
Alpha Caelen gritted his teeth, his fists whitened from how tightly he was clenching them.
"Did you see the way he treated her like she was his other half and a bre... pet?" Maddie snapped back.
A servant brought a cloak for her, draping it over her shoulders.
"So in other words, you did it," Alpha Caelen’s voice lowered. "Then, there is nothing more I can do," he sighed deeply. "The men who mated you will become your mates. And if anything should happen to any of them, I’ll banish you." He turned and stormed away.
Maddie’s eyes burned with hatred and grievance. Her shoulders trembled from anger. Her mates went up to her, trying to console her.
"GET AWAY FROM ME," she yelled before falling to her knees. Her expression was one of disbelief mixed with hatred. Her hand went up to the side of her neck, and she rubbed her palm against her neck roughly.
"GO AWAY, GO AWAY... PLEASE," she screamed hysterically.
My lips pulled up into a satisfied smile. Though I would have preferred to be the one who had driven her this crazy, I believed there was going to be a second time. People like her aren’t the ones that give up easily, especially not when they believe their suffering is caused by you. But by that time, I would be ready.
I tugged at Damon’s sleeve.
"Let’s go home... your home."
"It’s our home." He flicked my forehead before walking out of the bush. I followed after him.
"Alaric will be with you in case anyone tries anything crazy. I need to talk with Alpha Caelen." He paused. "Don’t you have anything to ask of him?"
My steps faltered. Personally, I had nothing to ask of him, but deep within Ember’s memory, I knew she had always longed to visit her mother’s grave, but for some strange reason her father wouldn’t tell her where she was buried.
Maybe I could do this favor for her.
"Yes, I have something to ask of him."
"Okay. After I’m done talking, I’ll ask Alaric to bring you in," he said in a calm voice.
We resumed walking again. We parted ways when we got to the living room. Beta Roy had already left, but I couldn’t push away the sense of dread that this was the beginning of something bad.
Alaric followed me to the guest room. He stood by the door while I went inside, packing every one of our belongings.
........
(Damon POV)
I stopped at the door to Alpha Caelen’s study room. I could hear the breaking sound of tables and chairs slamming into the walls.
"What a bad day for him," I muttered under my breath.
I knocked on the door.
"GET OUT," he roared from the other side.
I clicked my tongue in irritation before pushing the door open.
The room was a pretty mess, with broken chairs, glasses, pictures, and tables scattered around the floor.
"Alpha Damon... I don’t want to talk to you. Leave my office," he growled.
"I came here to confirm our deal on how to handle the rogues... and to confirm the identity of Ember’s mother. For some weird reason, there is no information about her. Even where she was buried has remained unknown."
At my words, Alpha Caelen’s face paled.
