Transmigrated: The Lycan King's Pet
Chapter 94 Drugged
CHAPTER 94: CHAPTER 94 DRUGGED
The clicking of the glass against the table surface echoed through the silent air. "I hope Maddie is not stressing you out," I asked, it was the least I could do for the real Ember.
She chuckled, but her smile didn’t reach her eyes. "Since you left, she hasn’t disturbed me." She fidgeted with her fingers. "What about you? What is the Bloodshade pack like? And does Alpha Damon really treat you well?"
"Which question am I supposed to answer if you bombard me like that?" I chuckled.
I took another pastry, putting the whole snack in my mouth.
"I apologize for that. I’m just curious." Her fingers tapped anxiously against the table, and she glanced now and then at the door.
’Why does it feel like something fishy is going on? She looks nervous and distressed; she can’t stop glancing at the door as if she’s expecting someone. She looks suspicious.’ I arched my brows. My eyes moved down to the glass of wine; the red liquid shimmered as if to respond to my suspicion.
’There is no way she would do that. She is the only one who cares about Ember. She wouldn’t do anything to hurt her... now me.’ I brushed the feeling of suspicion away.
"The Bloodshade pack treats me better compared to how my own pack treats me. Though they are not very nice, they are reasonable..." My thoughts wandered to Elder Dominic and the rest of the Elders. "Very reasonable." I shook my head.
"As for Alpha Damon, he is the definition of a psychopath. I can’t even figure out what is going on in his head. And trust me, he is very brutal and loves ripping people’s limbs and hands off. Well, that is when they touch me..." I began to fan myself with my hand. "...He is very protective and possessive of me."
I began to fan myself more. "It’s so hot in here. Is the oven on?" I asked, pulling the nook of my dress, shaking it as if to reduce my burning temperature.
"You are feeling hot? But it is not hot in here," Mari said innocently. "Why don’t you drink some more wine? Maybe it will help." She handed me the glass of wine I was drinking.
I pushed her hand away unknowingly as I tried to cool my body’s temperature. ’Could this be...?’
At first, I didn’t feel anything strange, except the warmth in my chest. I thought it was just the heat in the kitchen. But when the warmth began to spread slowly, it made me rethink my perception of Mari.
My breath hitched, and my heart began to race. I shifted on the stool, suddenly aware of how my clothes brushed against my skin. Every little touch sent jolts of shivers down my spine.
I rubbed my arms, trying to shake off the strange feeling, but it only made it worse. The heat was pooling low in my stomach now, pulsing in a way that made me squirm. My thighs pressed together on their own, like my body was reacting to something I didn’t ask for
’Stupid me... stupid me! How foolish of me to trust her.’ I didn’t need to be told that this was the work of an aphrodisiac.
My lips parted slowly, and I blinked slowly. My face flushed with red hues. My thoughts became muffled as if I was in a lucid dream.
I looked at Mari, who sat quietly across from me. Her eyes held a sorry look. Her fingers trembled before they tightened into a fist.
"Why?" I shook my head to clear out the fog clouding my mind.
"I’m sorry," she mouthed to me.
’Oh fuck... I’m fucked. Who knows what they are planning to do? I need to get out of here.’
I staggered off the stool, my hand gripping the table for support. My vision blurred for a moment, and the room tilted slightly.
"I need... to get out of here," I muttered.
I tried to take a step, but my legs stumbled backward, hitting the edge of the counter. The heat inside me wasn’t going away, it was growing stronger with every breath I took. My chest rose and fell, and my skin felt like it was burning from the inside out.
I could already feel the warmth pooling between my legs. I bit hard on my lower lip, trying to control myself. Because only God knows how much I wanted a man, anyone to bang so hard before I lost my mind.
I managed to steady myself, then I rushed toward the door. But a hand gripped my arm. When I turned around, Mari stood behind me.
"I’ll bring you to your room." Her grip on me tightened.
"No... let go..." I slurred.
But she ignored me, pulling me along with her. My head rested on her shoulder. My eyes drooped. My hands itched to grab my mangoes, which were begging for attention. I wanted to touch myself badly.
The urge was intensifying as seconds went by; it was like I was thrown into lava.
’Control yourself... you can do this.’ I chanted in my head.
"We are almost there."
The corridors were like a silent graveyard to me; there was no single movement or sight of someone walking through.
"Maddie... Maddie is behind this, right?" I slurred again.
But she didn’t answer me.
My brows furrowed at the unfamiliar corridor we were walking through. ’This isn’t the way to the room Damon and I are staying in.’
I tried to pull away from her grip, but she pulled me harder. "Stay still, Ember."
I wanted to fight back, but I was too hungry for something else, and it was taking a great deal of my strength not to yank any man to help me.
Not that long, we appeared in front of a dark brown door. At the sight of it, my heart skittered in my chest as dread washed over me.
"No... Mari... No." My words died in my throat as the door flung open.
