CHAPTER 94: BREAKING POINT
"I am your real brother, aren’t I?"
Suddenly, Rong Zhihao pushed Rong Zhenqiao away with force.
Caught off guard, Rong Zhenqiao stumbled backward.
Looking at the icy expression on Rong Zhihao’s face, he felt that this version of Rong Zhihao was very different from the boy he knew.
There was something unfamiliar about him.
Rong Zhihao’s expression was sharp and almost venomous, yet his voice was still soft.
This made him seem like he was split in two.
Rong Zhihao asked Rong Zhenqiao, "Big Brother, I am the one connected to you by blood. What is Rong Xingyu to me?"
"He took my brother from me, and now he wants to take everything else too?"
His emotions suddenly surged. "Why does he have to be better than me at everything?!"
Rong Zhenqiao had never expected Rong Zhihao to say such things.
When Rong Zhihao was first brought back into the Rong family, he had worried that the two brothers might not get along.
Moreover, he often saw Rong Zhihao secretly wiping away tears at home, looking as if he was being treated unfairly.
Gradually, Rong Zhenqiao had begun to feel disappointed in Rong Xingyu.
But in the end, Rong Zhenqiao realized he had been wrong.
"Zhihao—"
Rong Zhenqiao had just called his name when Rong Zhihao interrupted him violently, cutting him off.
"Don’t call me that! You can only have one brother, and that’s me!" Rong Zhihao stared at Rong Zhenqiao with a chilling look, his voice like nails scraping against glass.
Seeing Rong Zhihao like this, Rong Zhenqiao suddenly felt a wave of exhaustion in his heart.
"What exactly do you want, Zhihao?"
Rong Zhenqiao felt he had already tried his best to be a responsible older brother, yet in the end, his own brother still looked at him like this.
"Kick Rong Xingyu out and take back everything the Rong family gave him."
No, he wanted Rong Xingyu to suffer! As long as he had nothing, Rong Xingyu would have to envy him, hate him, and feel jealousy!
Every time Rong Zhihao thought about Rong Xingyu being miserable and being forced to watch him from a distance with envy, he felt a strange sense of comfort.
He couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Rong Zhenqiao frowned, staring at his brother’s face that was twisted with hatred, yet still laughing wildly.
It was as if he had never really known Rong Zhihao.
His voice tinged with fatigue, Rong Zhenqiao said, "Xiaoyu no longer lives here. What more do you want from him? Zhihao, know your limits."
"I want him to disappear!" Rong Zhihao suddenly grabbed Rong Zhenqiao’s arm, his nails digging into the flesh.
Rong Zhenqiao’s last bit of patience ran out.
He pushed Rong Zhihao’s hand away.
"You’re too emotional right now. You need to calm down."
Rong Zhenqiao then turned around and walked out of Rong Zhihao’s room.
He heard the door slam shut behind him, followed by the sound of objects being smashed.
Rong Zhenqiao pinched the bridge of his nose.
After their heart-to-heart talk, Rong Zhihao was even more uncontrollable at home.
It reminded Rong Zhenqiao of when Rong Xingyu had caused a huge scene after he brought Rong Zhihao home the first time.
With no other choice, Rong Zhenqiao contacted several psychologists.
Rong Zhihao couldn’t go to school, either, and had to take sick leave and staying at home to recover.
"What’s wrong with Rong Zhihao? Why hasn’t he come to school?"
Qian Zhijun leaned toward Rong Xingyu and lowering his voice to ask curiously.
Rong Xingyu shook his head again. "I don’t know. My brother said he hasn’t been feeling well lately."
Recently, their older brother had been running around everywhere worried about Rong Zhihao’s health.
He looked visibly tired.
The last time Rong Xingyu asked about Rong Zhihao’s condition, their older brother just patted his own head and told him not to worry.
Qian Zhijun clicked his tongue twice again.
Just as he was about to speak, the same voice rang out at the classroom door.
"Is Rong Xingyu here? Someone wants to see you!"
Rong Xingyu looked up toward the sound.
A male classmate was standing at the classroom door.
When Rong Xingyu looked in his direction, the boy waved at him and then turned his face toward the person outside the door, saying something.
Rong Xingyu put down the book in his hands and walked over.
When he reached the door, he was surprised to see a girl he didn’t recognize standing there.
She wore Qibao Dwith School uniform with her hands clasped behind her back and her expression looked a little nervous.
Rong Xingyu thought hard but couldn’t recall where he might have met her before.
A small question mark formed in his mind.
He blinked his eyes in confusion.
Seeing Rong Xingyu come out, the girl suddenly became a little excited.
Before she could speak, her face flushed red.
She instinctively glanced back.
Not far behind her stood another girl in the same uniform.
It was clear they were close friends.
The other girl made fists with her hands and gave her a cheering gesture.
The first girl nodded, she then took a deep breath and turned back to face Rong Xingyu.
But when she saw his face, she immediately lowered her head again.
"S-S-Senior Rong, I... I have something I want to tell you!"
Finally, she shouted out the words she had been holding in, but it made her even more embarrassed.
Her neck immediately turned bright red, like a cooked shrimp.
Her voice was a little loud and the nearby classmates at the door whose heard her turning over to look curiously.
Feeling all the eyes on her, the girl felt like she was about to burst into flames, wishing she could just disappear into the ground.
Tears began to welled up in her eyes.
Just as she was completely overwhelmed with embarrassment, she heard Rong Xingyu’s gentle voice.
His tone was still soft and kind as he said, "Do you have some free time now? If you’re not in a hurry, we can go down to the garden and talk slowly."
