CHAPTER 178: CHAPTER 178: PLAN (UNEDITED CHAPTER)
"I heard your sister was taken in by the University’s disciplinary committee. What did she do?" Song Kai tapped his fingers rhythmically, staring at Huo Mingjie whose exhaustion was written all over his face.
"It will be more than that. Huo Feng would never let this go. She smeared his sister’s reputation, and hurt her. Huo Fei is done."
Huo Mingjie’s voice was tight, and a flicker of worry flashed through his eyes.
"Do you want to save your sister?" Song Kai asked, leaning back into his chair.
"Of course!" Huo Mingjie replied without hesitation. "I want to save my sister. She’s the only family I have left. My father doesn’t care about us anymore. I have to save her."
"Well..." Song Kai drew out. "You can save her..."
"How?" Huo Mingjie asked, cutting him off instantly.
"We strike back." Song Kai answered.
Huo Mingjie’s brows creased. "I don’t understand."
"Huo Feng would be busy clearing your sister’s mess, we can use that opportunity to strike back."
"I’m listening." Huo Mingjie leaned forward, a flicker of interest flashing in his eyes.

"Sister-in-law, you were so cool there. Did you see how the girls kept quiet after you showed the evidence?" Huo Yan gushed.
Currently, they, including Song Yun were walking down the hallways of the University.
Yue Ning chuckled. "I didn’t do much. Song Yun was the one who called to inform me about what was happening. He was also the one who found the evidence."
Huo Yan turned to Song Yun who pretended that he didn’t have his eyes on her previously.
She smiled as she held his hands. "Thank you."
A sincere look appeared in her eyes as she stared into his. "You didn’t doubt me and I’m grateful for that."
Song Yun beamed. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her neck and whispered. "How could I ever doubt you? It’s not possible."
Huo Yan’s eyes crinkled with delight. Song Yun leaned in, and when he was about to place his lips on Huo Yan’s, Yue Ning cleared her throat.
"You youngsters," she smiled playfully.
Huo Yan stared at her speechlessly, playfully stomping her feet. "Sister-in-law!"
"I need to visit your brother at the office." Turning to Song Yun, she warned. "Don’t take advantage of her, or I might—" her eyes darted to the lower part of his body.
Song Yun instantly covered them and stared at her with wide eyes.
"You know what I can do." She smiled sweetly before waking away.
"Your Sister-in-law... she’s scary." Song Yun stuttered.
Huo Yan burst out laughing. "Are you scared of her?" She asked him, amusement dancing in her eyes.
"So what if I’m scared of her? She beat up three men alone. There’s no doubt that she’d do to me what she said she’d." Song Yun protested.
Huo Yan held his hands, and pulled him along. "Does that mean you are planning to take advantage of me?"
"Of course not!" He denied immediately. "I’ll never hurt you nor take advantage of you."
He paused in his steps and turned her to him. "I love you, and I don’t see myself hurting you. Instead, I’m more than willing to protect you."
"I want to be the first person you rush to when you’re in danger."
Huo Yan blinked softly as she listened to his confession.
"Don’t ever think I’d hurt you. I’d never."
Her eyes stung with tears, and she hugged him without hesitation. Sniffling, she said softly. "Thank you."
Song Yun’s face brightened as he wrapped his arms around her. He would never allow anyone to mess with Huo Yan again — not even his own brother.

Yue Ning stepped into Huo Corps, and all eyes turned to her. There were expressions of admiration, reverence and some even had looks of envy.
Yue Ning walked in calmly, acknowledging each greeting.
’Visiting your husband at work. How loving, Mrs. Huo.’ The system commented.
Yue Ning rolled her eyes slightly. She could sense the system’s sarcasm, so she didn’t comment on it.
"You know what, it has been a long time since I tried the ’mute system’ button," Yue Ning muttered, a trace of playfulness in her voice.
’I wouldn’t do that, if I were you.’ It chuckled carefully.
Yue Ning’s lips curved victoriously. "Are you scared?"
"Just forget it. I haven’t even seen my rewards. I’ve been so busy, I didn’t check how far I have gone with the mission." She bit her lips as she changed the topic.
The system was silent for a while before it spoke up. ’You are doing very well.’
"And Fate Synchronization? How far am I synchronised with this world?"
’Do you really want to leave after the mission is over? Do you want to leave after you’ve saved Huo Feng?’ The system questioned her.
Yue Ning remained silent, not uttering any response. She thought about Huo Feng, her family, Huo Yan, Yun Li, He Yuchen. Could she really bear to leave them?
’I thought as much.’ The system chuckled softly... more humanly.
The elevator suddenly dinged, snapping her out of her thoughts. Yue Ning bit her lips as she stepped out.
She bumped into Ah Si who she hadn’t seen for a while.
"Madam, you’re here." Ah Si exclaimed. "Let me walk you to the President’s office."
Yue Ning chuckled faintly. "It’s been a while since I last saw you. How have you been?" Yue Ning asked as they walked down the hallway.
"I was on leave. So President Huo asked me to visit my parents." Ah Si explained, scratching his hair awkwardly.
Yue Ning narrowed her eyes. Leave? It seemed like a far stretch. But she didn’t have any reason to doubt him.
Soon, they finally arrived at Huo Feng’s office.
"You may go in. I believe the President has been expecting you."
Yue Ning nodded subtly before she opened the door, and walked in.
Huo Feng raised his head up, but his eyes softened when it landed on her.
"You are here." He said with a smile.
Yue Ning’s eyes glittered as she took a seat.
"You sorted it out?" He asked, and she nodded.
Her expression darkened slightly. "But... I feel the punishment is too little. She has hurt Yanyan a lot. If we leave her roaming, there’s no telling what she might do."
Huo Feng’s eyes narrowed. "We should not worry too much about Huo Fei."
"What?" Yue Ning spat out. "What do you mean by that?" She demanded, glaring at him. If eyes could shoot, Huo Feng would probably be 6ft under.
"Relax, that’s not what I meant. Huo Mingjie loves his sister. There’s no way he won’t do anything about it. And we both know he is in cahoots with Song Kai."
Yue Ning leaned forward, her expression sharpening. "Do you think they might be planning something?"
Huo Feng didn’t answer, but his silence was enough response.
