CHAPTER 109: CHAPTER 109: SWEET PROMISE

Victoria slowly walked toward the source of the instrument’s sound. Watching her lover play the piano alongside the other musicians, playing cello and violin, brought even more tears to her eyes. Even though it was just her, her lover, and the musicians playing instruments near the fountain in the park, Victoria was overjoyed to see her lover successfully deceive her.

The look of her lover’s love-filled gaze as he played the piano made her heart swell even more. She didn’t want to hate him for making her so angry. Instead, surprises like this made her fall even more in love with Matthias.

After Matthias finished playing the piano, he slowly walked over to his girlfriend and took her hand. "I’m sorry, I lied to you."

Instead of getting angry, Victoria smiled sweetly and shook her lover’s hand. "I really like the surprise you gave me today. You really succeeded in tricking me."

"You look so beautiful today, Tory." Matthias suddenly knelt down and took out a small box from his jacket pocket, making Victoria’s eyes widen.

"Matty, what are you doing?"

Matthias opened the small box containing the diamond ring making Victoria open her mouth even wider.

"I wanted to give you a special gift today. How could I suddenly run away from you on such a special day?"

"Matthias..."

"After spending so much time with you, I don’t want us to just be dating. I want us to be a couple who complement each other. I don’t want us to go home alone. I want the home you painstakingly designed not just for me, but for you too."

"Matthias..."

"During my time with you, I’ve learned so much from you. I didn’t know what love was at first, but now I do. Thank you for opening my heart to just you."

Victoria smiled happily, her right hand wiping away the tears of joy that continued to roll down her cheeks. "I’m also very grateful to you for making me trust a man. I didn’t trust anyone easily before. But thanks to your sincere love for me, the first man I truly trusted was you."

"I don’t want you to belong to another man. Before they take you, I must make you my wife first. I love you so much, Victoria."

"Matthias..."

"Will you be with me forever?"

Victoria nodded and extended her right hand. "I want to be your companion in life. I’m so happy to always be by your side. I really love you, Matthias."

Matthias couldn’t stop crying out in joy as he placed the engagement ring on his fiancée’s ring finger. He stood up and then kissed her passionately on the lips.

As the couple passionately kissed, a cloud of pink and red balloons lit up the sky, accompanied by doves fluttering overhead. This touching proposal was a beautiful moment, and the musicians resumed playing the couple’s favorite instruments.

They kissed passionately for quite a long time, Matthias ended the kiss by kissing his lover’s forehead then carrying his lover’s body while spinning around.

After having fun in the park, Matthias invited his girlfriend back to his house to talk further. Since their engagement, Victoria’s affection for Matthias has become even more affectionate. She kept staring at the engagement ring with sparkling eyes while gazing at her boyfriend’s increasingly charming face.

"I feel like I’m in a dream world."

Matthias kissed his fiancée’s temple. "This isn’t a dream. It’s true, we’re getting married soon."

Victoria’s gaze fell on the inscription engraved on the engagement ring. "I know why you engraved the word ’Myty’ on this ring."

"Myty means Matty will forever belong to Tory."

"I didn’t expect a man as stiff as you to be so romantic. Who exactly did you learn that from?"

"From you."

"Me?"

"Because I’m constantly learning the vocabulary of love from you, I can’t wait to marry you."

Victoria also took out a small box from her dress pocket and then opened the box, it contained an engagement ring.

Matthias smiled brightly as he looked at the engagement ring his fiancée was about to give him. "Could it be that you invited me to a different restaurant earlier because you wanted to propose?"

"I actually wanted to propose to you first. I thought you weren’t ready to propose yet. Turns out you moved faster than me."

"I like your ring too." Matthias held out his right hand. "I want to wear your ring."

Victoria smiled gracefully as she placed the engagement ring on her fiancé’s ring finger. "You’re finally wearing my ring."

"Sorry, I ruined your plans earlier."

"It’s okay. I actually prefer the proposal you made to me. I’m sure you’ve been planning it for a long time."

Matthias kissed his fiancée’s cheek repeatedly as they rolled their bodies on the bed happily.

"Matthias, I’m sure that after we get married, you’ll be even naughtier every day."

"But, you once said that you prefer me naughty rather than me stiff."

Victoria nodded shyly. "That’s true. If you’re naughty every day, I’ll love you more and feel more comfortable around you."

While this proposal may seem sweet, it’s unfortunate that their marriage isn’t approved by both parents. Matthias has tried every means to persuade his mother, but his efforts have been in vain. He truly loves Victoria. He even plans alternatives so he can still marry the woman he loves. But will his girlfriend want to do it with him?

Victoria was shocked by her fiancé’s crazy idea. While she loved it, she was also nervous about carrying it out.

"Matty, are you serious about registering our marriage secretly?"

"Of course. Our parents don’t approve of our marriage. I’m really angry. Why do they want to control our lives so much? Especially since I can’t live peacefully without you around."

"But, what if they find out?"

"I want to go with you to a country they can’t find. I want to live alone with you. Our marriage must be done in secret if you want to marry me."

"Then, when will you register our marriage?"
