CHAPTER 112: CHAPTER 112: HOW CAN YOU FIND ME?

Of course, Victoria also wanted to propose to her beloved husband again in the right way. She didn’t even expect him to still have her engagement ring after so many years apart. This proved that he still loved her deeply, even though he disappeared without a trace. Seeing her husband genuinely care for her made her even more reluctant to let him live alone. Now she decided she didn’t want to live her marriage based on a contract, but rather on her sincere love for him.

She placed the diamond ring on her beloved husband’s ring finger and hugged him tightly. "I’ll be with you forever. I don’t want to be alone anymore."

Matthias smiled brightly, breaking the embrace and kissing his beloved wife deeply on the lips. He wanted to release his longing by savoring the sweetness of her lips, which made his love for her grow exponentially. Every time they kissed, he could feel how sincerely she cared for him. However, his wife, who liked to play hard to get, was still not used to expressing her true feelings.

Having had enough of kissing his wife, he ended by carrying her around in a circle.

"Matthias, put me down!" Victoria laughed happily, wrapping both arms around her husband’s neck.

"What if I don’t obey you?" He kissed his wife briefly on the cheek. "This is what you get for leaving me for a few days."

"But you’ve been following me around all this time. I’m the one missing you now."

"I know you’ve missed me all this time. I hear everything you say. I see you cry every time you visit a place full of fond memories."

Her cheeks instantly turned red as she imagined herself complaining every time she visited a place. How shameful that she cries and blames herself, while her husband has been watching over her silently. Now she is nervous to face her husband who knows everything.

"You know everything... I’m embarrassed now."

Matthias chuckled mischievously, pinching his wife’s cheek. "Thank you for sharing your true feelings. I’d have preferred to hear it in private."

"I guess I need to be more careful. Luckily, I said all the positive things."

The night air grew cooler, making Matthias feel cold because he wasn’t wearing his coat. He immediately hugged his wife tightly.

"I want to go home with you now."

"But how? We’re out of town right now. It’ll take quite a while to get home."

"I mean, I want to sleep with you in the hotel. I don’t like seeing you sleeping alone."

Victoria laughed softly, slowly stroking her husband’s cheek. "Don’t worry, I won’t be sleeping in a separate room anymore. I’ve been sleeping with you lately, and I’m so comfortable."

Matthias immediately walked quickly down the tower, still carrying his wife. "I can’t wait to sleep with you again."

Finally, they were able to sleep together after almost a week apart. Even though they had been staying in the same hotel, Matthias was reluctant to sleep with his wife because he still wanted to give her space to reflect. He was very familiar with Victoria’s personality, always known as a strong woman on the outside, but very fragile inside when facing major problems. They even had arguments simply because he interfered too much in his wife’s affairs. Therefore, to avoid that, he preferred to remain silent but still quietly by his wife’s side.

Victoria gazed at her husband’s handsome face, still glowing in the middle of the night, her eyes sparkling. Her left hand caressed every spot on his face. "I miss seeing your face before I go to sleep."

"Then, from now on, you’re not allowed to run away from me anymore. You’re the only woman who can look at my face before bed."

"But, you’ve always stayed at the same hotel as me since the beginning?"

"Once I found out, of course I followed you. Everywhere you went, I even monitored the CCTV footage that captured your tracks."

"I think you’d be better suited to be a detective. You’re reliable when it comes to catching criminals."

"Now do you still want to run away?"

Victoria shook her head quickly. "No way. I want to stay with you from now on." She hugged her beloved husband tightly.

Matthias was pleased to see his wife so spoiled, it made his heart race. "I’ve known you’re a spoiled brat since we started dating. Every time I put you to bed, you’re so clingy and won’t let me go home until you’re completely asleep."

"By the way, what was I like when I was sleeping all this time? Did I ever snore like a pig?"

"No. But, you once said something that made my heart race."

"What? Have I made a big mistake?"

"You want to marry me."

"What?"

"Should I tell you now?"

After years of dating Victoria, Matthias is unsure how to propose to the woman he loves. Is she ready to marry him, or is she still dating because she’s not ready for married life? Matthias’s job is simply to accompany his beloved every night. Even though he’s busy all day, he’s willing to quietly accompany his girlfriend while she sleeps.

Matthias stared at his lover sleeping soundly beside him. He leaned back in bed, slowly stroking her head with a loving gaze.

"You are so cute when you sleep."

"I want to marry you, Matthias."

Matthias’ eyes widened. He moved his head closer to his lover’s lips to make sure he didn’t mishear.

"Marry you."

Hearing his lover’s answer, even though she was still asleep, a happy smile spread across his handsome face. He immediately took out a small box containing a diamond ring.

"Even though you gave this answer indirectly, I am more confident in wanting to propose to you."

Hearing her husband’s brief story made her cheeks flush again. She immediately hid her face under the blanket. However, her husband immediately lifted the blanket and kissed her briefly on the lips.

"I loved hearing your answer back then."

"Matthias, marrying you is a dream for every woman in this world."

"I felt the same way when I heard you didn’t want to rely on a marriage contract."

"Actually, there is one important thing that makes me want to marry you."

"What’s that?"

"Matthias, I’ve been experiencing morning sickness lately, and I haven’t had my period in a while. I think I’m pregnant."
