CHAPTER 113: CHAPTER 113: AM I PREGNANT?

Victoria has been experiencing morning sickness and hasn’t had a period for a month. Although she hasn’t taken a pregnancy test, she’s convinced she’s pregnant. Her gaze sparkled as she stared at her husband’s handsome face, which was already glowing despite still being asleep. Slowly, she moved her lips closer to his sexy lips, which had teased her so early in the morning.

However, her husband moved faster, kissing her lips, causing her eyes to widen. She immediately felt her red lips, which he kissed.

"Morning kiss for you, Tory," Matthias said in a sexy tone.

Victoria smiled brightly and hugged her husband tightly. "Matty."

"What’s wrong with you?" Matthias stroked his wife’s head gently. "You look happier than yesterday."

"Because I like sleeping with you. I miss seeing your handsome face in the morning."

"Not because of my morning kiss?" Matthias winked his right eye.

Victoria quickly looked away, feeling her heart pounding. She was still hesitant to tell her husband this exciting news. They still had many challenges ahead. Would she be able to maintain their sweet marriage? But on the other hand, she couldn’t hide her morning sickness forever. Should she tell him the truth?

"Tory, I’m so happy to see you this morning too. I’m still traumatized from when you suddenly left me that day."

"I’m sorry, Matty. I won’t leave you again. I love living with you. I really want this marriage."

Matthias narrowed his eyes on his wife. "Aren’t you going to say the marriage we have now isn’t the one you want?"

"Of course. I would love to marry you."

"By the way, I really enjoyed the food you left for me that time. Even though I was also going on an adventure, I still chose to enjoy the food you had worked so hard to make."

"Whereas now I can cook for you forever. I don’t want you to cook for me all the time."

Matthias’s lips curled into a pout. "Are you still mad at me for causing trouble every time we cook together?"

Victoria laughed so hard her cheeks turned red. "No. I actually like it. That’s why you’re such a good cook now."

"But, why won’t you let me cook every day?"

"Because I don’t want you to get hurt every time I cook."

Matthias remembered cooking hangover soup for his wife several times, causing his fingers to burn. Recalling that moment, which had melted her heart, his heart swelled even more.

"Okay, I’ll let you cook this time. I’ve really missed your delicious cooking."

"Actually, before I moved in with you, I’d been learning a lot of new recipes. I’ll cook some for you later. I’m sure you’ll really like them."

"Of course I would like it because our tastes are always the same."

After a long chat in the hotel room, they had breakfast together at a restaurant before returning home. It had been a long time since they had shared a tender meal together since she ran away from her husband. Victoria had actually missed this sweet moment. When she had just run away from her husband, she hadn’t been able to eat breakfast alone. Having grown accustomed to being pampered by her husband, she didn’t like doing things on her own, even though she had always been independent.

"Just watching you eat so heartily is enough to fill me up. Especially since you’ve been quite the glutton lately." Matthias gently stroked his wife’s head. "Should I buy you some extra cake?"

"No need. I’ll look ugly if I’m fat!"

Matthias rested his chin on his hand, staring intently at his wife. "I’m actually curious. Before you left, you ate quite a lot. What’s wrong with you?"

Was it time for her to tell her husband this good news? After all, if she kept this secret, he would be disappointed if he found out from someone else.

"Matthias, after this, can you accompany me somewhere?"

"Where do you want to take me?"

Before returning home, Victoria took her husband to a prestigious hospital owned by a family friend. She underwent various pregnancy tests, while her husband simply accompanied her, filled with curiosity. After a short time, the results were announced by the obstetrician.

"Mr. Matthias, congratulations, your wife is almost two weeks pregnant."

Matthias’s eyes widened as he stared at his wife. "Really? Why didn’t I realize this before?"

The obstetrician chuckled softly. "It’s more likely your wife is being insensitive. She’s the one who’s pregnant, but she doesn’t realize it."

Matthias immediately hugged his beloved wife tightly. "Thank you, Tory. I’ll definitely take care of you and our baby until the birth."

"But I must warn you, Mr. Matthias. Since your wife is pregnant, you shouldn’t have sex with her frequently. It will affect the health of the womb."
