Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted
Chapter 114: Answer For Ex-Fiance
CHAPTER 114: CHAPTER 114: ANSWER FOR EX-FIANCE
Fransisca stared in shock as her stepsister and her husband walked out of the maternity consultation room. Her eyes widened, and her jaw tightened. Initially, she found it hard to believe, as she remembered the last time the couple had been on bad terms. Now, she was witnessing a scene that completely contradicted her expectations. As a result, her blood pressure spiked, and her right fist clenched tightly.
"Fransisca, what’s wrong with you?"
"It’s okay. I’m just upset."
"You weren’t upset about accompanying me before. I told you you didn’t need to accompany me."
"In fact, I’m very grateful to you. Thanks to you accompanying me, I know everything now."

Upon arriving at their luxurious home, the couple still looked happy as they gazed at the ultrasound results. Tears of joy still welled in her eyes, and her right hand caressed her still-undeveloped belly. She gazed at her beloved husband with adoring eyes. Her wish of having a child with Matthias had finally come true, even though now wasn’t the right time to conceive.
"Tory, you don’t have to worry. Of course I won’t let you overwork yourself."
Victoria smiled casually, embracing her husband’s hand. "But I still have to go to work. I still have to survey the housing project site in person."
"Okay, I won’t stop you from visiting the project site. But if you’re tired, don’t push yourself too hard. This is for your health and the health of our baby."
"I’m actually very grateful to have a child with you. But, on the other hand, I’m very worried about myself."
"Why are you worried? I’m here to take care of you."
"Matthias..."
"I won’t let anyone hurt you. I don’t want you to experience heartbreak a second time."
"By the way, can I tell my ex-fiancé this happy news?"
Matthias’s eyes widened. "What? You’re going to tell that bastard?!"
Victoria’s lips curled up as she heard her husband continue to badmouth her friend. "Can you stop calling your friend a jerk?"
"But if you were me, I’d be furious. Ansel stole you from me."
"He didn’t do it on purpose to steal me from you. Besides, he didn’t know we were married. I also forgot that we’d been married for a long time."
Matthias laughed irritably, folding his arms. "For your safety, I won’t let you travel alone from now on. I don’t want your life in danger."
"So, are you coming with me to see Ansel today?"
"Of course, so I can monitor you to see if Ansel will overreact or not."
"I think you are really jealous now."
"I’m not jealous. I just want to be your bodyguard."
Of course, Matthias wasn’t joking around. He truly was accompanying his wife to meet her greatest enemy after a long absence. The two men’s gazes were as if they were striking each other with lightning, leaving Victoria to shake her head. They met at a cafe not far from their home. Victoria hated the idea of these two men arguing before they could even begin discussing the main topic.
"Speaking of which, it’s unusual for you to want to meet me. Haven’t you been avoiding me all this time?" Ansel quipped, taking a sip of his black coffee.
Matthias rolled his eyes. "Shouldn’t I see you once in a while? I miss you so much, anyway."
Ansel felt like spitting out his coffee after hearing those disgusting words. "So you’re gay too. I never thought you’d still be interested in me."
"Yes, I am so attracted to you that I don’t want to let you go."
Even Victoria, hearing this, felt goosebumps. She immediately kicked her husband’s leg and laughed awkwardly at her ex-fiancé. "Forget what my husband said. He’s a little strange today."
"By the way, why did you want to see me all of a sudden?"
Victoria smiled shyly as she showed off the diamond ring on her ring finger. "Ansel, I’ve found the man who gave me this ring. I’ll be his wife forever."
Ansel suddenly felt like his heart had been pierced by a transparent thorn. The pain he was experiencing now made his breathing a little labored. He had actually been hoping his ex-fiancée would come back to him, but the current situation had quickly dashed his hopes.
"So, you won’t marry me?"
"Yes, I’m sorry I gave you false promises before."
"That’s right. You said back then that even if you found all the answers, you would still marry me."
Of course, hearing this made Matthias’s jealousy flare up as well. "Victoria, so you were going to marry Ansel even though you already knew the answer to all the riddles."
"Actually, I would still have married Ansel if it hadn’t been you, Matthias, who gave me this ring. But now that I know you gave it to me, I’m still going to marry you."
Ansel clenched both fists tightly, "Can’t I be the right man for you until now?"
"I’m sorry. This is the only answer I can give you. Besides, now I’m happy living with Matthias." She stroked her belly. "I’m pregnant, Ansel. The baby in my womb is Matthias’ child."
"What?"
Matthias put his arm around his wife’s shoulders affectionately. "So, don’t get your hopes up about stealing my wife! From now on, I’ll take care of her. You don’t need to interfere anymore!"
"I’m so happy to be Matthias’s wife. I love him so much now."
Ansel could only lower his head. "Congratulations, Victoria. I hope you and your baby are healthy."
"Thank you, Ansel. I hope you find a more perfect match than Victoria."
"Thank you for your prayers, Matthias. But if you hurt Victoria’s feelings, I won’t hesitate to take her away from you. She deserves to be with me, actually."
"Don’t worry. I won’t let that happen. In fact, from now on, I won’t let you see my wife alone!"
Ansel was furious at the knowledge of these facts. However, all he could do now was act innocently. What if one day he acted as recklessly as Amber?
