Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted
Chapter 95: Impact of Thunderstorm
CHAPTER 95: CHAPTER 95: IMPACT OF THUNDERSTORM
After confessing their love for each other, Victoria was thrilled to be able to date Matthias without having to hide her feelings. If she had loved him from the start, she wouldn’t have been constantly hurt by a third party trying to ruin their relationship.
Since the weather had cleared and was conducive enough for outdoor activities, Matthias finally visited the project site with his wife. Because his wife was stubbornly insistent on following him, he ultimately agreed to her wishes rather than argue over a minor issue. Besides, he was tired of being scolded by his wife for not answering the phone. This way, his wife wouldn’t worry too much.
Upon arrival at the project site, each party performed their respective roles. Matthias communicated with the head contractor, who reported leaks at several points on the project due to the rainstorm that had hit Yanmang City for over twenty-four hours. Meanwhile, Victoria visited the project site, which remained in good condition. She toured various houses under construction and took photographs.
Not long after they had conducted a hands-on observation of the project site, Matthias invited his wife on a date to the flower garden they had visited on the first day. However, when they tried to visit, the garden was temporarily closed, as stated in the small board.
Victoria’s expression darkened as their date was postponed. However, she still wondered why the flower garden was closed. She remembered that she had been able to visit with her husband just a few days ago.
"Matthias, how about we ask the park ranger? What exactly happened to this flower garden?"
Matthias nodded, holding his wife’s hand. "I’m curious too. Actually I love visiting this flower garden with you."
Eventually, they arrived at the flower garden security post. They approached one of the flower park ranger with a confused expression.
"Excuse me, I have a question. What’s the real reason this flower garden was suddenly closed?" Matthias asked.
The park ranger sighed weakly. "The rainstorm that hit this city has destroyed the flower garden."
Victoria widened her eyes. "What? So, how long will the maintenance process take?"
"It seems like it’s going to last a very long time. Especially now that many people have lost interest in this flower garden. It was also threatened by numerous entrepreneurs seeking to take over the land for apartment development."
Matthias clenched his right fist tightly. "Those businessmen are truly greedy and shameless."
"Therefore, we would like to apologize for not being able to provide certainty as to when the park will reopen."
"It’s okay. Thank you for letting us know. We hope this flower garden will be as beautiful as before."
After a brief conversation with the flower garden ranger, the couple returned to the sedan. Victoria still wore a weary expression, deeply regretting that the once-beautiful flower garden had been destroyed by a natural disaster. However, there was nothing she could do. She could only hope that the flower garden wouldn’t be taken over by selfish businessmen for their own gain.
Her husband suddenly touched her shoulder, startling her a little. "Are you angry?"
Victoria nodded. "I’m actually a little angry to hear that everyone is so selfish and doesn’t want to preserve the beauty of the flower garden. It’s the single most beautiful tourist attraction in Yanmang City."
"By the way, you don’t think I’m the one who wants to take over the flower garden, do you?"
"No. How could you be so selfish as to want to destroy that flower garden? Especially since you love that flower garden so much. I remember you were even busy taking pictures of me when we were on a date that time."
Matthias smiled faintly as he gently stroked his wife’s head. "Sorry, I can’t take you on a date to the flower garden. Since our business in Yanmang City is finished, we should head home now."
"Well, there’s nothing else we can do here anyway."
"Even though we don’t do much together here, having you by my side makes me happy."
Two hours later, after traveling back to their hometown, they finally returned safely. Victoria deeply missed their luxurious home, filled with fond memories she and her husband had created. Now she wanted to settle down here without any further objections. She even wanted to go on a date with her husband before returning to work tomorrow. However, that didn’t mean she wanted to go on a date outside the home, as they had so many activities to do in Yanmang City.
"Victoria, I want to ask you out tomorrow after work. Would you like to?"
Victoria nodded enthusiastically. "Of course I do."
"Anyway, if you ever meet Ansel again, I won’t hesitate to punish you."
"Wouldn’t it be even more exciting if I met him? This way, your friendship will grow even stronger."
"I think you’re more likely to want to stir things up now. You want to prove that your heart belongs to me now."

Meanwhile, Fransisca was shopping with her friend at a mall. She visited a boutique that was only accessible to certain people. She asked her friend to help her choose a dress to wear when she went clubbing. She showed her friend various sexy outfits.
"Wow, you must look even sexier wearing all these mini dresses!" praised Fransisca’s friend.
"Of course. Because you helped me choose it."
"How about you try on the dress first?"
Fransisca swaggered to the dressing room to try on all the dresses she had chosen. However, in the midst of her search, her eyes fell on a beautiful woman wandering around looking for dresses. Although she had never communicated with the woman, she remembered the hoax that had gone viral on social media. The woman was Amber. Fransisca momentarily abandoned her intention of trying on all the dresses. She immediately approached Amber with an innocent expression.
"Excuse me, are you Amber?"
Amber looked at the strange woman from head to toe. "Who are you?"
"I’m Victoria’s sister. I want to talk to you about something."
