CHAPTER 156: CHAPTER 136 TREASURE - DREAM CATCHER (10,000-WORD CHAPTER)_2
A colossal Evil Spirit, towering at six or seven meters, materialized before them.
This Evil Spirit was entirely blood-red, intermingled with a hint of dark green. Its tall body was covered with countless twisted human faces, all wailing and screaming.
A thick, evil stench of blood permeated the surroundings, accompanied by waves of piercing wails.
"Its power has definitely reached the Three Spirals. Be careful," Julia said, having instantly sensed the enemy’s strength and immediately informing Alka and the others.
Upon hearing this, Alka didn’t hesitate for a moment. He reached into the metal box on his back and drew out the Sword of Love.
It was time to use this weapon; now was not a moment to hold back.
"Little rats," the Evil Spirit boomed, "you dare steal the Treasure of the Blood Drinker! Drop the box in your hands, and I will grant you eternal life, like blood itself."
This Evil Spirit had mutated into its current grotesque form, yet it could still communicate.
What baffled Alka more was that the promised Difficulty of finding this Treasure was supposed to apply only to the key’s owner, wasn’t it? There was no mention of any Spiral-level Difficulty for what came after. But now was not the time to ponder these questions.
The group paid no heed to the Evil Spirit’s nonsense.
Alka’s free left hand swiftly flung out a Red Card.
Faced with the incoming object, the Evil Spirit didn’t even try to dodge, snatching the card out of the air with its palm.
"BWAHAHA, the little rats tossed a pebble over, did they?"
It seemed that although this Evil Spirit could still speak, its mind was clearly impaired. What normal being would catch an attack with their bare hands?
With a deafening blast, four immense pillars of fire erupted from the Evil Spirit’s hand, instantly vaporizing the hand that held the card.
Two of the fire pillars blasted directly onto its body, instantly setting it ablaze.
The Evil Spirit’s wails immediately rang out, followed by a piercing shriek. The shriek, imbued with Magic Power, emitted visible ripples that crashed into them.
Pororo, large and robust, immediately swayed on the spot, his arms flailing wildly as he unleashed a barrage. One Water Blade after another flew out.
However, Alka and Chadite were not so lucky. The force of the waves sent them flying.
Fortunately, Julia’s bandages shot out, ensnaring them in mid-air and pulling them down. She also used her bandages to anchor herself in place.
While falling, Alka gripped the Sword of Love with both hands and vigorously swung it toward the Evil Spirit in front of him.
A blade of light, formed from Holy Flame, shot out. The dazzling Holy Light dispelled the surrounding darkness as it cleaved directly onto the Evil Spirit.
The Evil Spirit, having just doused the flames on its body with its own blood, was immediately struck by an even more deadly attack.
"AAAAHHH!"
Its screams of pain grew increasingly piercing. The projected Holy Flame hacked a gaping wound into it, leaving injuries that resembled torn flesh on its Spiritual Body.
The flames began to spread.
Countless fluid bandages shot out, binding the enemy’s limbs. However, more limbs began to sprout from its armpits, abdomen, and back. All sorts of strange limbs began to grow on its body, making it appear even more deformed.
More bandages flew out, binding every part of it that could move, desperately trying to pin the Evil Spirit in place.
The terrifying faces covering its body also began to open their mouths, screaming and wailing hysterically, their ceaseless cries assaulting everyone’s ears.
"Silence!" Chadite yelled, stamping her foot. Brilliant silver ripples instantly expanded outwards from her, achieving the very effect she had declared.
Wherever the ripples passed, all sound vanished instantly, including the enemy’s Magic Power-infused shriek.
The Evil Spirit’s struggles grew more frantic. Julia clenched her fists, firmly gripping the bandages she had cast, strenuously pulling to keep the enemy restrained.
Alka swung again. This time, the flames erupting from his sword towered skyward. The blade, originally about a meter long, extended to an astonishing four or five meters.
Alka was now beneath the Evil Spirit. He fiercely swung the enormous Holy Flame Sword downward. The strike was incredibly precise, angled downwards to avoid the bandages already entwining the enemy, lest he cut them as well.
In an instant, a massive gash was cleaved into the enemy’s chest, crossing over the previous, still unhealed wound.
Unrestrained flames blazed, clashing with the blood that drenched its body. Foul smoke billowed out unceasingly with each impact.
This strike inflicted devastating damage.
At this point, the Evil Spirit, further along in its mutation, had lost the ability to speak and could only issue incomprehensible roars.
The slashed-open gash began to pour blood. The faces originally embedded in its body slid off with the gore, transforming one by one into smaller Evil Spirits.
They’re just like the Evil Spirits they first encountered! Could it be that this gigantic Evil Spirit created them?
So it starts summoning minions when it can’t win? How disgusting.
Facing these newly formed Evil Spirits, Pororo charged directly into their midst, his entire body enveloped in currents of blue-glowing water. Inside the throng, various currents and waves began to spiral indiscriminately, transforming into vortices and Water Blades that tore through the smaller spirits.
After a quick assessment of his remaining Magic Power, Alka unhesitatingly handed the Sword of Love to Chadite.
