Moreover, when the Evil Spirit charged out, its words indicated it knew about the Treasure Chest and that it likely contained Treasure.

The owner must have used some ability before death to hide the Treasure Chest, preventing the Evil Spirit from finding it until they retrieved it.

Covering their noses, the two glanced inside. The gaping hole revealed the villa’s basement. Though it had caved in, they could still see it was filled with densely packed skeletons. Beneath the skeletons, an Array was visible. The scattered ritual implements nearby also told them what this place had been used for.

Alka sensed a familiar feeling from the Array and its surroundings.
