CHAPTER 505: CHAPTER 251 CURRENT STAGE OF THE BATTLE_3

Stabilizing the Sailor’s Long Saber dancing in his hand, he swung fiercely in Akka’s direction. Invisible attacks shot forth.

"AH!"

Another scar appeared on Alka’s chest. He screamed involuntarily and staggered back a few steps, clutching his chest as blood flowed like water.

"See? You can’t even see my attacks. What can you possibly do?" the Pirate Captain said, shaking his head helplessly, and unhurriedly walked towards Alka.

Just then, he suddenly straightened up and leaped a few steps to his right. A spatial rift abruptly appeared where he had just been standing. It began to absorb the surrounding matter, then vanished after a second or two.

He turned his head to look at the surprised Alka, whose expression now showed a hint of despair.

"So, this is your solution? This is why you waited for nightfall? It seems you truly don’t understand the gap between stages. For me, these spatial rifts, though sudden, are not imperceptible. Truly pathetic."

As he spoke, he unhesitatingly swung his Long Saber at Alka again. Another slash landed on Alka’s chest, intersecting the previous wound to form a bloody cross, and a large amount of blood gushed out continuously. Then he leaped forward again, a large step, dodging another spatial rift that had suddenly appeared.

"Such a pity. Should I wait for you to bleed out?" he said with a smile. Then he walked over and crouched beside Alka.

Alka was now lying on the ground, gasping for breath, his back against a large tree. The Pirate Captain picked up his Long Saber, poking at Alka’s wounds with its tip, listening to Alka’s hoarse cries of pain.

"Now, are you willing to take me to your ship? My previous promise still stands; I’m only interested in the treasures on your ship." As he said this, he took a Potion from his waist and gently dripped some onto a wound on Alka’s thigh. The small wound quickly healed and scabbed over, leaving only a scar.

"See? I don’t bear much malice, do I?"

"Take me to your ship, and I can save your life with this Potion. If you keep bleeding like this, you won’t last much longer."

Alka shakily raised his hand, trying to grab the Potion from the pirate’s grasp.

The pirate snatched the Potion away. "No, no. Not now."

He was waiting for his crew to locate Alka and their ship. He still hadn’t received any word that his men had sighted their vessel. This was clearly not normal; that was why he was stalling with Alka here.

Alka’s hand dropped, revealing several cards from his sleeve that shimmered with a beautiful luminescence. Clearly, this luminescence caught the Pirate Captain’s eye. He stared at the cards for a few moments, then, wrapping a layer of Magic Power around his hand, he picked up the conspicuous Red Card.

"What’s this? Some kind of Magic Item?" He could sense the Magic Power flowing from the card. Then he picked up the Blue Card to examine it. Both cards had a fine texture, looking like expensive Magic Items or perhaps ornaments. They seemed quite valuable.

Alka weakly grasped the Silver Coin.

The Blue Card exploded! Water Chains shot out rapidly, entwining the enemy. The Red Card spewed flames, engulfing them both.

Alka rolled away, flames clinging to him, as the Silver Coin flashed and he tossed it into the fire. Then, all the burn marks on him vanished completely, as if he had never been injured. He stood there, pristine. Even his tattered clothes looked new.

A Mirror Surface materialized on his face. Layer upon layer of huge Mirrors surrounded the area, forming circles, directly transforming it into a Mirror Maze. Pink mist billowed from beneath his feet, quickly filling the entire Mirror Maze.

The engulfing flames exploded outward.

A disheveled Pirate Captain emerged from the fire, his eyes filled with rage. Though he was disheveled and bore some burns, it was clear the attack hadn’t caused him any severe damage. Except for a bloody gash on his neck. Blood flowed continuously from this wound, so deep that it revealed the flesh and bone within.

He gritted his teeth and poured all the Potion into the wound. Drawing his Sailor’s Concealed Saber, he cautiously eyed his surroundings.

"You damned wretch! You dare trick me! I’ll hack you and your crew to pieces!" His voice was full of anger as he spoke through gritted teeth.

The surrounding Mirrors clearly affected his perception; he could only sense the ones nearby, nothing further. Holding his Long Saber, he cautiously began to walk through the Mirror Maze.

The ceaseless apparitions flickered at the edge of his sight, distorting his vision. This compelled him to try and track them all, but he instead focused his attention on his Long Saber. He swung his Long Saber twice. Several Mirrors shattered from the invisible attacks. Seeing that his strikes had only destroyed a few of them, he was clearly dissatisfied. The hardness of these Mirrors clearly exceeded his expectations.

Seeing the spreading pink mist, he immediately covered his mouth and nose and held his breath. He even encased himself in a layer of magical Shield. This stuff definitely looks poisonous, he thought.

Suddenly, an object struck his Shield, and several cracks immediately spiderwebbed across its surface. The pirate countered with a slash, but he hit only empty air; nothing was there. Only a few Mirrors were smashed by his invisible attack, but new ones promptly filled the gaps, seamlessly replacing them.

"Are you just trying to delay your death with these illusions?" he proclaimed loudly.

As his voice faded, he distinctly sensed a different kind of magical fluctuation and a faint sound from one particular direction. This was a subtle change, perceptible only to someone at his stage of power. That must be the opening the enemy revealed!

He instantly charged forward like a war chariot, continuously swinging the Long Saber in his hand. In an instant, he broke through a long line of Mirrors and slashed forward.

"HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE HEE!"

His blade sliced open a jack-in-the-box, revealing the cackling doll inside, its absurd face seeming to mock his intelligence.

"Damn it!" He kicked the jack-in-the-box away. He let out an angry roar. Tricked again!

The kicked jack-in-the-box instantly exploded, the shockwave forcing him back several steps. His Shield shattered instantly.

The moment his Shield broke—

A black Scythe extended from a Mirror to his side, swinging down.
