Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline
Chapter 388 Red sky and gold covered ground
CHAPTER 388: 388 RED SKY AND GOLD COVERED GROUND
[OP: ]
[ *Enraged, the companions of the wounded divine messenger expressed strong emotions as they barged into the battlefield and started destroying the strong undead creatures with their mountainous bodies and blessed skills.* ]
As the voice of the world spoke to the entire world, the citizens of the world were all once again stunned.
They could hear the voice, the description of the divine voice that only a few fortunate people were usually able to hear.
This voice was not some instructions or statements either, they were descriptions and narrations so vivid that the people could almost see what was being described by this voice before their eyes.
There were no video screens broadcasting these things this time, however, the voice was still there and just that much was enough for the people who had worried about the happenings of this war.
The voice described what the people related to the warriors wanted to know. The voice spoke of their conditions to them and the voice described everything at the same time just like last time... however, since there was a lot happening at the same time on this battlefield, people only heard what they wanted to hear.
This was a little difficult to explain with words, however, what the people were hearing and what was happening was both quite subjective.
There were some things happening and there were some things that were common for all people— things like the descriptions of the giant creatures, the sky that was now painted red by the blood of the creatures that were dying by the hands of the forces on the sky fortress.
On the ground, the two divine messengers were not the only beings blocking the way of the opposite forces.
The emperor was no normal person.
He had not only hired the creatures of the upper realm, but also beings of the lower realm... and now, the battlefield was filled with those very creatures as well.
A gate leading to a certain part of the hell was opened up, a demon knight possessing a [{( Knight )}] rank in this Worldline had arrived on this land along with their own demonic army.
It was no simple creature as the demonic power it possessed was much stronger than the demonic powers of the demonic humans.
This was a real demon, a complete demonic knight that even though was in a weakened state due to the world’s restrictions, was still strong enough to go up against the higher ranking death knights of the opposing army.
Lucy had expected this situation, and now that things had come down to this, was now busy guiding all the forces currently fighting on both the land and on the sky fortress.
He was keeping track of everything through the countless video screens opened before him.
The great ghost knight was fighting with the demon knight, the strong members of Spades that no one on the battlefield knew about were now fighting the three divine messengers, while the remaining forces of the emperor that had left on this battlefield were staying at the back of their lines.
They were mere mortals at the end of the day so many of them could not withstand the kind of battles that was going on this battlefield.
Even the emperor was at the back, waiting for the chance to struck the opponents at the precise moment, waiting for these hired forces to do their job and clear out the small fries so that they could deal with the real threat.
Lucy was not worried yet, things were going smoothly.
The red sky and the gold covered ground stained with the golden blood of the divine messengers who were having difficulty using their skills.
[ "How’re you doing now?" ]
[ "Oh? To think the busiest person is asking me how I’m doing. That’s surprising." ]
Just from her voice, he could tell that she wasn’t doing anything better than him.
Both of them were under a great pressure at the moment as they managed their own tasks.
As a general, he was handling every action their forces were taking on this battlefield, and as the strongest support and destruction unit present on this battlefield, she was handinging the sky fortress and the machines attached to it, dealing occasional great blows to the enemies in the air as well as on the ground.
She was using her magic skills to the best, and both his and her familiars were helping her in the process.
[ "I’m going to start now." ]
[ "The emperor?" ]
She was worried as soon as he told her.
They had already planned things and she knew what was going to happen from this point on, and still, she was worried.
[ "If you get hurt, I’m going to kill you." ]
[ "I’ll die if I get killed, dummy." ]
He could feel her current emotion through their link.
He was able to start this epic thanks to her skill sharing ability but he had to do everything else on his own.
He had to operate the battle while fighting himself.
He had to first take care of the three messengers, then the demon, and lastly, he will fight the emperor.
Yes he will have to deal with his minions first, but he knew he can take care of those bastards with some tricks.
They were holding titles of saints, and masters, and grandmasters, and whatnot. But, they were only acknowledged by the voice of this world unlike him.
He was a master sword weirder on the Worldline level.
He was different from the rest of them and even though taking care of the others will be a burden on his body, he had prepared something that will help him with the ultimate battle.
[ "Alright. Shoot a big on in area 31C." ]
[ "Thick white stuff, coming up~." ]
The battle filled with alredy chaotic.
Even the divine messengers and the demons were not expecting to see each other on the same battlefield fighting from the same side. There was an eternal conflict between these two factions and since the emperor knew they might start fight8ng among themseves, he had signed origin contracts with them that even they could not disobey.
They had to fight on the same battlefield as their sworn enemies, so they were trying their best to hinder one another through loopholes.
They were mocking them, looking down on them, and making comments that offended the other party and when that happened, in rage, the other party did what any angry person might.
The chaos between two faction was giving the smaller parties a chance to damage both sides, and Lucy was doing just that.
However, knowing the emperor, he knew he would play some tricks in between, so he was keeping him in check through Friday who had taken his form and was fighting on the battlefield.
The demons and the divine messengers knew that this fake celestial was not the real deal so they just ignored him... however, the emperor did not have any way to distinguish the real and the fake in this case.
The perfect disguise that Friday had was too difficult to see through even for someone like him, so he had failed his chance to exploit all the choices in this battlefield.
Still, Lucy knew the emperor will figure out the real one soon, and that will make things easier for him... but until then, he had the upper hand.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
A black light glowed on the central part of the floating fortress and, as they watched, a strange black energy ray was shot from the sky.
-BOOOOOOOOOOM...!
The strong energy ray landed right on top of the oldest messenger that was heavily injured by Lucy a while back.
The ray destroyed the entire area this messenger was going berserk in, and indiscriminately obliterated everything in a ninety metre radius.
They had to sacrifice a few of their skeletons solders, however, that was part of his plan as well.
The others weren’t going to know about it anytime soon, but almost everything happening on the battlefield was almost completely foreseen by Lucy a long time ago.
They had made their own strategy based on his predication and his past experance of this battle in their game.
They had done in several times alredy so they knew what things could possibly happen and thanks to the information they gather through Raz’s help, they were able to get the upper hand they at the moment,
-Oooooooooooooooooong...!
The battle after that black energy blast continued.
One of the four great threats had almost fallen now, he only had to do a little more damage to the fallen elder and he will receive a large chunk of EXP.
It wasn’t his end goal but since he had the red crown, the power that made him resilient to the eyes that were glaring back at them.
They put a strong debuff on them so not even their strong death knights or golems or the other members or Spades could handle these creatures.
He was the only one who could deal with them completely, and the same was the case with the demonic knight that constantly exposed everything around it to its demonic energy, corroding everything around it.
Corruption through the demonic energy was a common thing, and since the battlefield was covered in Ichor, the interaction of the divine blood and the demonic energy produced even more toxic energy that was deadly for both of their kinds as well.
Thus...
The battlefield that was calm and warm just a moment ago was now covered in dead boded and deadly energies.
All the humans that weren’t resistant to these energies had to be careful of what they were being exposed to.
They had to fight knowing that they were putting their lives on the line here.
But, thanks to the excellent gears provided by their Black and White, the Masked Fools weren’t worried about anything.
They just believed in them and prepared to give their lives on this battlefield as well... they had been promised that they would not die on this battlefield, so they weren’t worried about their lives.
They just fought with all that they had... and pained the battlefield gold, and the skies red.
