Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline
Chapter 397 The last battle (2)
CHAPTER 397: 397 THE LAST BATTLE (2)
[OP: ]
When the emperor started the fight, he also triggered a new paragraph in Lucy’s epic that described the past achievements, actions, and history of both that were engaged in the heroic battle.
This paragraph described how
Lucy was an orphan that came from a humble origin, gained strength on his own— and with the help of his partner sister. It stated some of their achievement, told some of their interactions, and some of the achievements that Lucy had more contributions in.
They were great achievements that the people of this world and well as the viewers watching this admired... and then the voice of the world started reciting things the emperor had done ever since gaining his position.
It recited how he killed the first person- his father- with his own hands. How he killed countless people who might have become a threat to him in the future, how he did some of the most horrible things humanly possible.
How he killed parents to steal their telented children, how he destroyed nations and erased them from history.
As if to have been angry at the emperor, the voice of the world recited everything that the emperor had ever tried to hide— adding comments of the people in real time to the whole thing.
He was going to go away from this world after doing all these things, and the Worldline was taking all of that into account as it calculated the Plausibility of the given scenario.
The emperor was not someone that was supposed to obtain that kind of power after doing so many wrong things from the general perspective, however from the perspective of the higher Worldline, the things that he did for himself were all self serving and something that ultimately led him to the current situation.
They weren’t wrong actions if he considered them right. The morality and values of the Worldline were very different from what the general people of the lower realms might think.
They were all achievements of he achieved them.
Even if hundreds and thousands of people might think that it was not something good, these things were still something praiseworthy from the countless higher beings of the Worldline who possessed the real authority within this system.
They were not looking at the good or bad of the situation or how people died by his hands in the process but how he was able to achieve something at the cost of something so simple.
He was a tyrant and an egoistic person. But, at the same time, he was also the emperor that had preserved his country for many, many centuries.
He was strong as well and he had supporters, people who looked up to him, and even though he had made them think that way, he had done those things.
He had achieved the, so they were his achievements.
And even if the simple people of this world doesn’t understand or appreciate it, there were many higher beings that gifted him money and power just because they were happy to see what he was doing.
-Clank!
-Ooooooooooooong!
He had followed no one but himself ever since he came to power.
He was pretty simple person before but ever since he understood the reality of this world, he only aimed for higher and higher stages.
Then he realised many things about the world he lived in.
As he gained strength and found out new things about this world, he realised the world that they lived in was merely a fraction of this universe. Something so insignificant that one could compare it with a single grain of sand present on a beach.
There were countless worlds like theirs. There were countless powerful beings that he would never even compare to.
The things that these higher beings could do were unimaginable from the mortal standpoint, and he realised that at an early age.
Since then, he relinquished his desire for self-improvement, and only strived for preservation of what he had, and what was supposed to be his.
This world was the limit of what he wanted and what he wished to own, beyond that, everything was something that anyone else could have.
He became the emperor and continued preserving his title, his land, his throne, and his powers even at the cost of his people, his children, his partners— his Love.
He did not look back... he surely stumbled a few times, and the result of those stumbles had always been devastating for him.
Even when he loved for the first time in true meaning— the end of his wrong turn from his Duty of preservation was what we were seeing right now.
"Ughhh."
He was on the verge of becoming a higher being, a (Baron) ranked authority holder that possessed powers similar to omnipotence and Omniscience.
He would be what the people of this land called a god or a lord... or a demon, true perhaps. But in the grand sense of the Worldline, he would be nothing more than one of hundreds and thousands of individuals possessing the same strengths, authorities, and privileges as him.
That world would be completely different from the one he ruled right now.
There were many stronger than him, and there were many that could destroy his existence just because they wanted to.
He had not been very good with the higher beings that wanted him to do some things for their own enjoyment.
He had only followed what he wanted to do and what was necessary of his goals, not following any of the ’quests’ and messages of the higher beings that asked him to do things for their enjoyment.
He wasn’t their servant.
If they wanted to watch, they could just watch if they wanted. There was nothing he could do about that anyway.
However, he never did as they wanted him to even if it resulted in the panulties in various crucial situations.
That was the path that he chose and that was how he lived— independently. Without relying on anyone else.
He got what he had right now through his own efforts... but none of that would matter of they got his hands on him in the higher realms.
They would destroy him and his existence, and then there would be nothing left of him.
He was the emperor of The great Barnacle empire. Something that will mean nothing to the beings of the higher realms.
If anything, he was a small fry that they could do anything that they wanted to.
That was the main reason he never wanted to go to the higher realms.
"You’re a hypocrite and a pussy."
-Swiiiiiiiish!
Lucy was fighting him even though he was now much stronger than him, and he was still on the winning end thanks to the support from all the people that he relied on. On all the beings that had his back.
[{( Nonsense! )}]
Unlike him who had done everything on his own all his life as the emperor, Lucy had relied on others even before he met El in their previous lives.
He never had anyone before he met her so he had to get help from others. He had to do things that weren’t morally or socially acceptable, and he had to rely on others for food and basic things...
He did not like the life he had then and so he ran away... and in the process, he met someone that was also running away from her reality.
Then, they started relying on one another. Grew up together and achieved everything they wanted one by one.
They had everything either of them wanted in that world. They were happy there... and they could have been the happiest if they did not die just when he proposed to her.
Their death was absurd, but then they found themselves here, as babies, with one another, from the start of their lives.
And then, they relied on one another once again, though, this time, they had to be even closer since the orphanage owner was a bastard demon contractor that fucked even the good products that he was supposed save for important clients.
If they weren’t with one another doing things that saved them from His dirty hands, they would not have been able to get strong enough to execute the plan that they had made and get out of that hellish place safely.
But they did escape... and now they were together, with many more people that they had come across during their journey, with people that they had recruited and now had to back them up in exactly times like these.
They also had their familiars and a family that they cherished more than anything else in this world.
So, unlike the self centred bastard that never was brave enough to ask for Help, he had people that were still fighting to keep him safe— even with their own individual ultimate motives.
Roxana, his familiar, was constantly using her powers to support him. El was done with the Sky so she was helping him as best as she could while maintaining the rest of the things as well.
Her familiar Cary was also helping and though limited, Raz, their little kitten was also helping them from wherever he was right now.
Their closest aids and the people that they trusted were blocking the remaining forces left on this battlefield even while enduring the strong divine power exuding from the emperor.
They were doing that not just because they wanted something from them or because there was something that they could achieve by doing this but simply because they knew they were doing the right thing.
The two of them might have gathered them for their own selfish reasons, but they taught them.
They gave them hope, knowledge and powers that they did not know they possessed themselves, and they gave them the chance no one else in this world gave them.
There was a reason they followed them and fought for them.
"You’re alone, Kadeloth."
-Ooooooooooooooong!
His power did not belong to him alone.
"That was your biggest mistake."
It was a collective strength that he was using thanks to their deep conscious connection.
