CHAPTER 16: CHAPTER 16: I DON’T NEED TO EXPLAIN TO YOU
PM——
The Rolls Royce stopped in the yard of Emerald Cove, they were back.
Justin Kingston instructed the butler to take the children upstairs, then sat in the sofa, staring coldly at the woman not far away, releasing an innate low cold aura.
"Do you know the maximum sentence for jewelry forgery?"
Mia Lane was completely confused, "What does that have to do with me? Why are you asking me?"
"I heard what Hailey Hale said to you." His eyes were dark and deep, "You forged Emma’s work, do you admit it?"
Mia’s heart tightened, was her cover going to be blown on the first day?
Seeing her not answer, he asked again, "Do you have an interest in jewelry design?" His tone was much softer than before.
"..." Facing his gaze, Mia discerned his intentions.
"If you’re interested, come work at Kingston Group." Because the craftsmanship of the necklace was exquisite, Justin valued her talent, "As Mrs. Kingston, you’re forbidden to plagiarize in the future, cherish your own reputation."
Mia protested, "Which eye of yours saw me plagiarize? Did you see me forge? You didn’t, and have no evidence at all, yet you trust a single sentence you heard? How does someone as blind as you run a company?"
Justin’s eyes narrowed, his gaze slightly cold; no one had ever dared to speak to him like that.
Her behavior crossed his bottom line, Justin cared deeply about public opinion towards the Kingston Group and the Kingston family.
Realizing his face was unsightly, Mia didn’t want to provoke him further, "Can’t I just be Emma?"
Justin furrowed his brows, scrutinizing her.
"Don’t make me show you evidence." She shrugged with an indifferent attitude, "I don’t need to prove anything to you or explain!" With that, she headed upstairs.
Justin sat on the sofa alone, calmly pondering, exuding an aura that warned idle people to stay away.
Today, Mia discovered that the enormous villa truly didn’t have an extra bed.
She had no other choice but to sleep in the master bedroom, and sleep with him.
Changing out of her evening dress and taking a bath, Mia saw Justin already in bed, wearing a bathrobe and leaning against the headboard with a book on economics.
But he seemed distracted.
Looking at his well-defined features, she felt a little dazed.
Seeing her out of the bathroom and not moving, Justin closed the book and turned his eyes, "Come here." His gaze was a bit cold.
Mia took a deep breath, intending to explain herself, but as she walked to the bedside, he suddenly turned off the lights.
Then her wrist was forcefully pulled!
"Ah!"
Unprepared, Mia fell into his arms.
"First, fulfill your marital duties." His body was burning.
"What?!" She was startled.
But before she could react, he flipped over, pinning her beneath him, "Tell me, who are you really?"
"Didn’t I already tell you?" She tried to resist, but was pressed down and couldn’t move, "Let me go first!" She didn’t dare raise her voice, afraid of alerting the children.
"What’s your relationship with David Garcia?" He asked directly.
"..." Her heart sank heavily, even her momentary distraction at the banquet tonight was noticed?
He was terrifying!
"A woman doing rural poverty alleviation, how do you know the mayor’s daughter? You claim to be Emma, where’s the evidence?"
"Let me go!" She lowered her voice, "Believe it or not!"
But Justin’s body was as solid as it was seven years ago, all her struggles were futile.
Pinned beneath him, feeling his scorching breath at such a close distance, her heart raced to her throat.
"You better answer me honestly, don’t wait for me to investigate."
"Haven’t you already investigated? You just can’t find anything!" Mia hated his superior attitude, "Why can you know them, but I can’t? You better not push me!"
Justin had a strong premonition that this woman harbored many secrets.
The familiar scent on her made him sink inexorably, with a sense of being played, Justin reached to untie her bathrobe belt.
"Bastard! Stop it!"
"I’m your legal husband, this is your duty to fulfill."
So that night, the little bunny was devoured by the big bad wolf again.
The next morning...
Justin left for the company very early.
When Mia woke up, she felt as if her body had been run over by a wheel, she dared not dwell on the details of last night.
Just as she was coming downstairs, she encountered the butler, who seemed to have something to say to her.
