Chapter 690: Helping Her Process Bad Emotions
CHAPTER 690: CHAPTER 690: HELPING HER PROCESS BAD EMOTIONS
Then, the car fell into silence.
Until the car stopped outside the milk tea shop, they got out and walked in.
During work hours, there were hardly any customers.
"If one cup can’t cheer you up, then have two." Finn Morgan placed two cups of milk tea in front of her, "This shop also has sweet treats. Do you want to choose, or should I pick for you?"
He was like a caring big brother, attending to her emotions.
Sitting in the chair, Hailey Hale slowly surveyed the shop’s interior; the milk tea shop was huge!
The decor was quite upscale, especially the lighting, perfectly balanced in brightness, offering a visual delight.
Various types of sweet treats lay quietly in the showcase, looking very appetizing.
Finn gazed at her, speaking softly, "You just sit; I’ll get them for you."
She retracted her gaze, leaned back against the chair, and glanced out the window, her brows furrowing involuntarily, really frustrated!
The celebrity crush she had been dreaming about actually had a girlfriend? It almost led to an awkward misunderstanding.
She couldn’t quite process it all at once.
This type of feeling would probably only be understood by those who have a celebrity crush.
"This is the lava cake, the most famous in this shop. Try it first." Finn brought over two servings.
"Thanks." Hailey took the spoon from his hand, and as the sweet treat entered her mouth, she felt slightly better, and she sighed, resigning herself.
Finn pondered and spoke, "Let me tell you, Anton Miller isn’t a long-term kind of guy; he probably can’t even remember all his past girlfriends."
Hailey didn’t respond; she knew, but she didn’t want to focus on that point.
Anton Miller was the CEO Kingston’s brother, so Finn didn’t want to badmouth him either; some things didn’t need to be said too clearly.
Hailey believed she saw things clearly today and would gradually let go of this notion.
Hailey noticed him just sitting there without eating any treats or drinking milk tea, feeling a bit puzzled, she looked up and asked, "Why aren’t you eating? What’s on your mind?"
Their eyes met; Finn might have been watching her all along.
He picked up the spoon, "How does it taste? Do you like it?"
"It’s okay." Hailey particularly enjoyed eating sweet treats; she was a foodie at heart, though her mood was not great today, "How do you have time to be out?"
"I felt like having a cup of milk tea," he replied, "This store has a nice flavor; I haven’t had a chance to come before." In fact, he was actually out to deliver some documents, not for the milk tea.
Hailey, with her good-natured personality, quickly processed the unpleasant events.
Moreover, her interest in Anton Miller was just a celebrity crush, they weren’t familiar, but it still felt like heartbreak.
"Recently I discovered something." Hailey said while eating her dessert, lifting her gaze with a smile, "You match quite well with Barbara."
Finn’s face darkened, "What nonsense are you saying?"
"I’m serious!" the girl laughed, "The way you two visit clients together, truly a perfect match, though it’s curious, how can she afford such expensive clothes?"
Finn also found it odd, but it wasn’t his business, so he wasn’t too curious.
After finishing the milk tea and desserts, seeing she was in a much better mood, Finn’s face broke into a smile, "Should we head back now? Or take a stroll around outside?"
"Let’s head back to the office." After all, it was still work hours.
"Alright." So, Finn drove her back to the company.
As evening approached.
Barbara Sutton walked out of Kingston Group, taking a cab to the busiest street in Riventhal.
Arriving at the cosmetics counter, the dazzling lights illuminated the imported jars and bottles in the glass cabinet, luxuries she had never seen in her life.
Although she didn’t know which brands were good, she operated on the principle that you get what you pay for, and with money in her card, "I’ll take the two most expensive sets!"
