CHAPTER 140: CHAPTER 140: MOVING OUT OVERNIGHT TONIGHT

The Elysian Apartments.

After Eleanor Sterling and Hazel Langley met, they went shopping for quite a lot of things to feed those two little rascals at home.

She opened the door and unexpectedly saw a figure.

Alaric Faulkner was sitting on her sofa, dressed in a finely tailored suit, as if he had just returned from some formal occasion.

Sitting there so calmly and coolly, he exuded an aura of superiority, like a noble above all.

Suddenly, Eleanor’s face darkened.

She closed the door and spoke unkindly, "President Faulkner, aren’t you supposed to be so busy, with your feet not touching the ground as the head of an empire’s enterprise?

Yet you seem to have plenty of free time, showing up at my place every couple of days. What exactly do you want?"

Just having talked to Hazel Langley about this dog of a man, and now seeing him the moment she returned home, Eleanor was not in a good mood.

Regarding the issue with his health, Eleanor had already used asking a master as an excuse to evade, and now Alaric truly had no reason to seek her out.

Alaric looked at Eleanor, his gaze deep, and spoke in a heavy tone, "I’m here to pick up Caleb."

Upon hearing this, Eleanor’s expression eased a bit.

"Oh, well, he’s stayed long enough at my place. You should take him away immediately."

After speaking, she looked at Estelle Sterling and said, "Calculate the accommodation fee for the past few days for President Faulkner."

Upon hearing the word "money," Estelle Sterling, who was all about money, perked up.

He immediately ran back to the room to get the calculator, "Hehehe, alright, I’ll do the math right away."

Alaric’s gaze fell on the bag Eleanor was holding, clearly containing groceries.

That relaxed, leisurely demeanor seemed as if he wasn’t bothered at all by Eleanor and Estelle trying to fleece him.

Eleanor’s face turned black.

She had never encountered someone so shameless before.

Even with her cold attitude, he still brazenly wanted to stay for dinner.

Alaric raised an eyebrow, "Why? Isn’t it fine as long as there’s enough money?"

Eleanor: "..."

She rolled her eyes at him, "Do as you please."

Caleb Faulkner covered his mouth, secretly laughing aside, while Estelle Sterling huffed, draping an arm around his shoulder, "What are you laughing about? Let’s go, let’s go, let’s play games in the room."

Watching Estelle’s mischievous expression, Caleb’s mouth twitched, not knowing what he planned next.

He looked at Estelle warily, "Hey, what are you up to?"

Estelle hmmed, "I’ll tell you later."
