CHAPTER 28: CHAPTER 28: MARRYING SHANE FAULKNER

The atmosphere in the garden was bizarre.

Mrs. Faulkner having an affair at the Sterling Family’s birthday banquet with a branch member of the Faulkner Family was enough to shock everyone.

However, due to Alaric Faulkner, no one dared to openly discuss it; they were all talking quietly.

Old Master Sterling, upon learning that the man was Shane Faulkner, had already been so angry that his high blood pressure acted up and he was sent to rest.

Everyone was waiting to see how Alaric Faulkner would handle this situation.

A servant came over and quietly said next to Alaric Faulkner, "President Faulkner, madam requests you to come upstairs for a discussion."

Alaric Faulkner, his gaze cold, walked upstairs.

George Sterling immediately followed behind him.

After the two left, the people on site finally dared to speak up.

"This Sterling Family is really bold. After becoming Mrs. Faulkner, Faye Sterling still dared to do such a thing, not afraid of offending the Faulkner Family."

"After all, Faye Sterling gave birth to a child for the Faulkner Family. I think she believes President Faulkner won’t do anything to her, right?"

"Ha, won’t do anything? She doesn’t even have a proper title, so what if she had a child?"

...

Eleanor Sterling, having orchestrated the entire show, couldn’t miss it. She put down her plate and headed toward the second floor.

In the room, Faye Sterling had already dressed and was leaning weakly against Rosalie Ray’s embrace.

Shane Faulkner sat on the ground. Rosalie Ray made sure he was clothed, but he’d been roughed up earlier, looking utterly miserable with bruises all over his face.

After George Sterling entered, he furiously kicked Shane Faulkner and shouted in anger, "You beast!"

Shane Faulkner, already frail, was further weakened after the earlier beating. Now, being kicked by George Sterling, he blacked out and fainted.

Alaric Faulkner entered with a cold demeanor.

Seeing the situation, Faye Sterling immediately began to cry, "Alaric, I’m innocent, you have to believe me. I knew nothing, it’s this man! He tried to defile me."

She tried to throw herself at Alaric Faulkner, but his intimidating gaze froze her in place, too afraid to move forward.

Rosalie Ray stepped forward and said, "Alaric, you must stand up for Faye!"

Alaric Faulkner smirked, lips curving into an ambiguous smile, "Stand up for her? So Faye Sterling wants to marry Shane Faulkner? I can make that happen."

At these words, Faye Sterling panicked.

"No, Alaric, I was framed. How could I want to marry Shane Faulkner?"

She cried heartbreakingly, looking utterly wronged and pitiful.

Yet, in Alaric Faulkner’s eyes, it failed to stir any sympathy. He had no feelings for Faye Sterling.

Rosalie Ray stepped forward and said, "Alaric, Faye was caught off-guard this time. You must believe her; how could she betray you?"

Faye Sterling, tears brimming, said hoarsely, "Alaric, you must help me. If something happens to me, what will Caleb do? He will surely be ridiculed by everyone."

Alaric Faulkner’s gaze darkened, his brows furrowing.

Just moments ago, he indeed wanted to do as George Sterling had intended, but Caleb Faulkner was still his son.

No matter that he had a mother like Faye Sterling, blood relations couldn’t be changed.

This matter couldn’t be spread around.

"Take him out," Alaric Faulkner glanced indifferently at Shane Faulkner, then turned and walked away.

As he passed by the door, he saw Eleanor Sterling leaning against the doorframe with a smile.

She quickly stepped aside to let him pass.

Watching Eleanor Sterling’s sly smile, Alaric Faulkner knew full well that she was behind all of this.

But he said nothing, heading straight outside.

Eleanor Sterling saw his demeanor as he planned to help Faye Sterling and couldn’t help but click her tongue.

It seems that getting rid of Faye Sterling wasn’t going to be easy. After all, with the Faulkner family’s little prince as her shield, even after doing such a thing, Alaric Faulkner would still protect her.
