CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51: COMPLETELY POWERLESS TO RESIST

Eleanor Sterling heard the conversation between Alaric Faulkner and Seth Sullivan, and she coughed lightly, "Thank you for today."

Alaric Faulkner curled his lips; it was rare to hear a word of thanks from Eleanor Sterling. He smiled teasingly and asked, "How do you plan to thank me?"

The gratitude in Eleanor Sterling’s heart suddenly vanished.

She bit her lower lip, "I don’t have money."

The money Estelle Sterling had gotten was all invested in the jewelry company.

Indeed, as George had said, the jewelry company needed capital and connections; it wasn’t easy to start.

Now Alaric Faulkner did believe Eleanor Sterling when she said she had no money; otherwise, that brat Estelle wouldn’t be asking him for money every other day.

His deep, cold gaze fell on Eleanor Sterling, and he suddenly uttered two words, "Flesh repayment."

Eleanor Sterling’s eye twitched sharply, "What?"

Alaric Faulkner curled his lips, "No money, then flesh repayment will do. I never make a loss in business."

Looking at Alaric Faulkner’s rogue expression, Eleanor Sterling’s face turned red. She didn’t know if it was from anger or embarrassment.

"How much money? I’ll find a way to repay you."

Alaric Faulkner gave her a meaningful glance but didn’t answer, so Eleanor Sterling simply shut her mouth.

The car quickly drove to a private villa.

Eleanor Sterling turned to look out the window, feeling a bit panicked. Could Alaric Faulkner really want her to repay him with flesh?

"President Faulkner, how about you take me to the hospital; I won’t trouble you with the rest."

Alaric Faulkner parked the car, turned around, his hand on the steering wheel, a sneer playing at his lips, "Eldest Miss Sterling, am I so beastly in your eyes?"

Eleanor Sterling’s face turned red, looking a bit embarrassed.

Wasn’t it he who mentioned flesh repayment? Now these words made it seem like she was overestimating herself.

Alaric Faulkner took out his phone and dialed a number.

"You have ten minutes, get to One Mansion right away."

After speaking, he hung up the phone.

"Who... Who did you call?"

"A family doctor."

After Alaric Faulkner spoke, he opened the car door and got out. He opened the passenger door and bent down to take Eleanor Sterling out.

His firm arms tightly gripped her waist, unyielding.

Eleanor Sterling was startled, but she had no strength to refuse him. She wanted to say she could walk on her own, but right now she couldn’t even manage that.

Her body felt as limp as mud, so she could only lean into Alaric Faulkner’s embrace. Eleanor Sterling’s ears grew hot as she tried to distract herself and not think about the matter.

Seeing Eleanor Sterling behave obediently, Alaric Faulkner’s dark eyes slowly swept over her face, then he headed inside.

They went upstairs into a spacious bedroom.

The interior was decorated in a simple black, white, and gray color scheme. Everything was neatly arranged and looked clean.

Alaric Faulkner placed her on the bed but didn’t leave immediately. Instead, he supported himself on both sides of her, his deep eyes ignited with a faint flame as they stared at her.

Looking at Alaric Faulkner’s handsome face, Eleanor Sterling’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, feeling a bit lost. Yet, their posture was not quite right.

"What... What do you want to do?" Eleanor Sterling asked uneasily.

This posture, this environment, was extremely ambiguous, yet Eleanor Sterling had no strength to resist.

Eleanor Sterling’s face turned pale; why did she feel like she had jumped from one den of wolves into another of tigers?

Helpless, Eleanor Sterling could only say, "I mentioned thanking you earlier; maybe... maybe we shouldn’t count the meal and everything else."

A pleasant laugh escaped from Alaric Faulkner’s throat, "So should I be thanking you then?"

Eleanor Sterling’s face was full of helplessness, otherwise, what?

"Heh..." Alaric Faulkner’s eyes filled with amusement, stood up, and left her, "The doctor will be here shortly."

He went outside, and Eleanor Sterling breathed a sigh of relief.

Then, she felt something was off, why did she have the feeling she’d been played by Alaric Faulkner?

Could it be he intentionally guided her to say such things?
