After he hung up the phone, Franklin Faulkner let out a scornful laugh.

That was indeed his plan, but he would pin everything on Gregory Faulkner.

Let the Faulkner Family believe that it was Gregory who took actions against his own family for the position of Family Head.

He summoned his assistant and said, "Check Hazel Langley’s whereabouts, and also Jasper Faulkner’s."

The caller, however, did not give up, and finally, Jasper decided to listen to what the caller had to say.

He swiped to answer, and a voice altered by a modifier came through, "Mr. Jasper Faulkner."

Jasper frowned, "Who are you?"

"No need to concern yourself with who I am. I have some information for you—Hazel Langley’s son is with me. Do you want to know who the father of her child is?"

Jasper abruptly gripped his phone tightly, his expression cold, "What do you want? Don’t harm innocent people."

"Prosperity Street, Villa No. 13. Come here now, or else I can’t guarantee what I might do. Oh, and don’t involve others, or I might get upset and act rashly."

Jasper’s eyes darkened. The media had previously exposed that Hazel Langley had a son, but they had never discussed the child’s parentage.

Later, on the island, they had wanted to spend their last moments together, but then he was urgently called back by Alaric Faulkner.

Now, that child was being used as leverage, and although it had nothing to do with him, Jasper didn’t want Hazel to get hurt. After contemplating, he decided to leave.

His own poison, after all, has an uncertain timeline for detoxification. As long as Hazel could have a child to accompany her in the future, he would be at peace.

Thus, he wouldn’t let anything happen to this child.

Jasper knew the caller must have been prepared, possibly with an ambush waiting to target him.
