Chapter 844: Here for Hazel Langley
CHAPTER 844: CHAPTER 844: HERE FOR HAZEL LANGLEY
Inside the villa, Franklin Faulkner was holding a cigarette, puffing out smoke.
The door opened, and his attendant walked in to report the recent events.
"Mr. Faulkner, Gideon Faulkner has sent his daughter Christine Faulkner over. Where should she be arranged?"
Franklin Faulkner frowned, and his good mood was instantly ruined.
He irritably waved his hand, "Find a room to lock her up, and don’t let her bother me."
"Yes, I understand."
The bodyguard immediately nodded and exited.
Franklin Faulkner let out a slight humph. He had no interest in playing any forbidden love games. For now, he was just appeasing Gideon Faulkner; he wasn’t concerned about the rest.
However, he had previously promised to give Gideon Faulkner a little something, but he hadn’t figured out what that would be yet.
Just when Franklin Faulkner was at his wit’s end, his phone dinged with a new message.
"Nancy Nash of The Nash Family has arrived in Aethelgard, greeted by a frenzied crowd at the airport, causing a sensation."
Franklin Faulkner raised his eyebrows. Of course, he knew about the three major families, and he knew Nancy Nash as well.
However, people from these three families usually acted like hermits, rarely leaving the family domain easily.
After all, their poisons, casually wielded, could easily kill and stir turmoil internationally.
Who knows how many enemies they’ve made, so to protect the safety of the family members, they wouldn’t leave easily.
Now Nancy Nash had actually come to Aethelgard? What was her purpose?
Suddenly, Franklin Faulkner realized.
Hazel Langley!
Nancy Nash had come for Hazel Langley. Eleanor Sterling hadn’t sought out Thomas Quincy to detoxify her but had instead gone to The Nash Family’s eldest daughter, Nancy Nash. That indeed surprised him.
But the grand scheme he had arranged, how could he let Eleanor Sterling unravel it easily?
He had heard that Henry Foster was captured by Thomas Quincy. Franklin Faulkner had even forgotten about Nancy Nash.
The Quincy Family’s poisons could only be neutralized by them, except for an exception with The Nash Family. Nancy Nash could cure such lesser poisons.
Franklin Faulkner gave a sinister smile, knowing how to deal with Nancy Nash — he had heard that Miles Foster of the Foster Family was fond of Nancy. Now that Henry Foster, the Family Head, was captured by Thomas Quincy, wouldn’t he seize the chance to rise?
Bringing him into this now would not only entangle Nancy Nash but also use him against Eleanor Sterling.
...
Faulkner Family.
A luxury car slowly drove into the Faulkner Family estate, stopping in front of the main villa. As the car door opened, a woman stepped out.
Eleanor Sterling, along with Alaric Faulkner, Jasper Faulkner, and others, were at the door waiting for the eldest daughter of The Nash Family.
After all, she was someone they needed to curry favor with; they couldn’t afford not to.
Eleanor Sterling knew that her whereabouts couldn’t really be hidden, so rather than hiding, she might as well be open about it. After all, she had invited someone to help as a warning to Franklin Faulkner not to play any tricks since it would all be for naught.
"Are you Nancy Nash?" Eleanor Sterling approached.
Nancy Nash glanced at Eleanor Sterling, then smiled slightly, "I know you. Thomas Quincy has spoken of you."
Eleanor Sterling huffed lightly, "I doubt he had anything good to say."
"No, he said you are the most beautiful woman in the world, smart, astute, and very capable."
While Nancy Nash said this, a sharp flicker passed through her eyes.
Eleanor Sterling wasn’t surprised by this look; after all, she was Thomas Quincy’s fiancée. For Thomas Quincy to praise her, it was natural for Nancy Nash to feel possessive and hostile.
After a moment of silence, Eleanor Sterling let out a cold laugh and replied nonchalantly, "Surprising that guy could give me a bit of face."
Nancy Nash remained silent with a smile, but her gaze continued to assess Eleanor Sterling, seemingly comparing what abilities she possessed to receive such praise from Thomas Quincy.
"Miss Nash, let’s not waste time here; let’s go inside and talk."
Everyone entered the villa of the Faulkner Family together.
