CHAPTER 848: CHAPTER 848: FIND SOMEONE TO IMPERSONATE THOMAS QUINCY
Eleanor Sterling strode forward and whispered in Clara Thornton’s ear, "Hey, what on earth is going on? What are you doing? How could you have drugged Nancy Nash?"
Clara Thornton coughed lightly, "She called me a maid and ordered me to serve tea. You know nobody dares to ask me to do that in the lab."
Eleanor Sterling felt a splitting headache. She shouldn’t have put these two together. Now look, as expected, something’s happened.
She took a deep breath and said, "Alright, let’s not discuss this for now. Give her the antidote; we still need her to save Hazel Langley."
Clara Thornton looked at Nancy Nash and asked, "Eleanor, are you sure she’s up to it? She can’t even handle an ordinary laxative I gave her."
Eleanor Sterling paused for a moment, then said, "Since Thomas Quincy arranged for her to come over, there should be no problem. That guy wouldn’t trick me."
"Alright then." Clara Thornton sighed and said, "But I really don’t have the antidote right now; we’ll just have to wait until I brew one."
Eleanor Sterling pinched the bridge of her nose, "Please hurry up, we’re counting on her to detoxify Hazel Langley."
"Okay, get me a lab, and I’ll start making it right now."
"The Faulkner Family already has a lab; we moved it over earlier. Start brewing the antidote immediately!"
Clara Thornton dared not argue and respectfully replied, "Yes, ma’am!"
Eleanor Sterling turned around to reassure Nancy Nash.
"Miss Nash, I’ve already instructed her to brew the antidote. The poison in you will be neutralized soon."
Hearing that she still needed to brew it, Nancy Nash went nearly frantic, "What are you saying? You’re only starting to brew it now? Is she doing this on purpose?"
"No, she isn’t. Once she brews the antidote and cures your poison, I’ll see to it that she is strictly punished."
Saying this to placate her, Eleanor guided Nancy Nash back to her room and finally exhaled a sigh of relief.
When women come together, nothing good happens—either they become best friends or enemies.
She shouldn’t have taken the easy route of putting Clara Thornton and Nancy Nash in the same villa. Now, she immediately ordered the servants to separate the two to prevent another clash.
...
Miles Foster arrived in Aethelgard.
"Did you find any news about Nancy Nash?"
"After she arrived in Aethelgard, she moved into the Faulkner Family, but now the Faulkner Family is heavily guarded, and we can’t get in to check."
Miles Foster frowned, a shadow of gloom passing over his face.
To abduct Nancy Nash, he had to deal with the Faulkner Family, but the Faulkner Family is no ordinary group. Even if he risked all his resources, he might not be able to shake them in the slightest.
This was a truly thorny problem.
"Sir, I think it would be better to lure Miss Nash out; that way we can make our move."
Miles Foster nodded, "That’s a good plan, but what reason could we use to lure Nancy Nash out?"
"That... I don’t know either."
Miles Foster’s eyes darkened; although his subordinate didn’t know, he knew what to do.
Nancy Nash cares about Thomas Quincy. Only Thomas Quincy could draw her out, but Thomas Quincy is not in Aethelgard right now, so that’s not an option.
What if someone impersonated Thomas Quincy instead?
That should definitely draw Nancy Nash out.
Miles Foster curled his lips into a cold smile, waved his hand, and said, "Go find someone right away, hire a disguise expert to impersonate Thomas Quincy, lure Nancy Nash out, and then we’ll act and abduct her."
"Understood, I’ll arrange it right away."
