CHAPTER 894: CHAPTER 894: SUSPECTING CHLOE IS NOT XAVIER KEATING’S CHILD

Inside the main villa.

Eleanor Sterling and Alaric Faulkner were analyzing the information they had gathered. She turned her eyes and said, "Are you saying Xavier Keating didn’t know he slept with a woman years ago?"

Alaric Faulkner leaned against the edge of the table, looking relaxed. He lifted his eyes towards Eleanor. "You could say that; the general situation is similar to Jasper’s."

His eyes darkened, and after a pause, he continued, "Whether a woman actually gave birth to his child remains uncertain."

Eleanor raised an eyebrow, "Are you suggesting that Chloe isn’t Xavier Keating’s child?"

"I didn’t say that."

Eleanor chuckled lightly, "Come on, that’s exactly what you mean. This situation does seem suspicious, though. We need to do some verification."

Alaric nodded. He wasn’t certain either, but since Eleanor wanted to investigate, they might as well. After all, anything is possible. They had already been through so much that they could remain unfazed.

Suddenly, Alaric remembered the report his subordinate had given him earlier and said, "There’s something else too."

Eleanor’s eyes showed a hint of doubt, "What is it?"

"There’s talk that Wendy Warren’s cousin is here, but I checked on Wendy Warren, and she doesn’t have any cousin of that age among her relatives."

Eleanor smirked, "Oh? That’s interesting; perhaps her cousin’s identity is not simple. Let’s hold off for now and strike when they reveal themselves."

"That’s what I think too. I’ve already assigned someone to keep an eye on them."

Eleanor smiled lightly and said, "I’m more and more satisfied with your work."

Alaric’s brows furrowed, and he stepped forward to pull her into his arms. "Getting bold now, huh? Daring to treat me like your subordinate."

Eleanor was only teasing. How could she treat the Faulkner Family Head as a subordinate?

"Hey, let me go; I was just joking."

Alaric sneered, "Being your subordinate isn’t out of the question, but I need to get some benefits first."

Eleanor rolled her eyes. Was Alaric’s entrepreneurial spirit showing again? Always thinking about benefits.

Before Eleanor could speak, Alaric had already taken her back to the big bed, and ultimately, her protests were completely silenced by him.

After a bout of activity, Eleanor clutched her aching waist and glared at Alaric in complaint.

Although she was now in the mid-pregnancy phase, and things seemed stable, Alaric was too insatiable. It would be best to keep her distance.

Alaric, feeling satisfied, patted Eleanor’s head. "You take a good rest; I’m going to work."

Even accompanying Eleanor to the Keating Family’s residence, he still needed to work remotely.

"Go on," Eleanor was eager for him to leave quickly.

Alaric placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before turning and leaving the room.

After he left, Eleanor put on clothes and got out of bed, using a special contact method to call Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner over.

The two arrived promptly.

"Sister Eleanor, what do you need us for?"

Eleanor looked at them and said, "I have a task for you. Get me some of Chloe’s hair."

Now that there was suspicion, of course, Eleanor had to act. The first step was verifying Chloe’s identity and whether she truly was Xavier Keating’s daughter.

Estelle, sharp as a tack, blinked and asked, "What do you need her hair for? Are you suspecting she’s not Uncle’s daughter?"

Viewing the clever Estelle, Eleanor nodded, "Exactly, don’t mess it up."

She knew just how unreliable these two troublemakers could be before.

They’d caused so many twists and turns, otherwise, she would’ve recognized Alaric sooner. Hence, Eleanor had to add a note of caution.

The two replied in unison, "Got it, we’ll complete the task for sure."
