CHAPTER 39: ADAM, THE VILLAGE LEADER

"Yes, Lord! You can ask me to do anything."

Adam didn’t hesitate for a second to give his loyalty to Tyler.

In his mind, the Lord who could give away something as precious as Natural Fruit deserved this kind of loyalty.

"There are two main things. First, you will gather a group of people who have obtained the most benefits from eating monster’s meat."

"Then, you will go near the Eternal Forest and try to capture more of these fruits. Of course, I am not going to ask you to share the fruit with me."

Adam was shocked by Tyler’s request.

He almost thought he was exchanging the lives of his people for a fruit. But what Tyler said later on made him change his mind.

A thoughtful look appeared on his face as he asked.

"Lord, are you planning on raising an army?"

Tyler showed a smile as he nodded.

"Yes, I need an army. Of course, I won’t need it now. We still have two years. During these two years, you will be focused on raising an army of hunters."

"In any case, if you find a Natural Fruit and don’t have the manpower to get it, you can come to my city and apply for a hunter."

"This is just an initial investment. I need you to turn this into a profit. As long as you can bring in more hunters, I will be half satisfied with your village."

Hearing that, Adam heavily swallowed his words and nodded. He wanted to say it would be very dangerous for his village to hunt down monsters.

But considering his Lord’s words, he didn’t open his open. Tyler said it himself. This fruit was an investment.

Hearing his words, Adam was confused, but he was also an experienced man. He accepted the fact that his Lord wasn’t the same as other nobles.

He rose to his feet, but when he saw Rose’s expression, he only saw a look of displeasure.

He was confused, but he didn’t say anything. He looked at Tyler and asked.

"Lord, how should I develop the village?"

Tyler shook his head and said.

"I will return to my city and make a proper plan. Then, I will send someone to bring it to you."

"It could take a week. During this time, just focus on creating good skills and reach First Rank."

"Yes, Lord!"

Tyler nodded and stood up.

"I will not stay here anymore. I need to visit other villages. By the way..."

He chuckled and continued.

"After a month, start inviting one or two people from other villages from the south. Brag to them about your village’s development, understand?"

He winked as he walked out of the village.

Adam’s eyes widened.

At this moment, he understood some of the plans that his Lord was making. But this only made him more excited.

He straightened his back and started eating the Natural Fruit.

He didn’t waste a single piece, and when this energy started flowing into him, an intense reaction occurred.

His skin turned red, and his body started shaking.

A few seconds later, white smoke emerged from his body.

"Adam! What happened to Adam?"

"He is fire. He is smoking."

"No, no, this is not simple..... I feel like I have seen this before."

"But Lord Tyler isn’t a tyrant. He is a kind leader with a strong heart. I know some of you have not gotten any benefits, so you feel imbalanced when I say this."

"But our Lord has granted us the monthly budget of 20000 dollars. With that much money, we can not only improve our lifestyle but also develop our village."

"This is the kindness of our Lord, and don’t you dare ever forget it!"

When he said that, the last bit of resentment in their hearts disappeared.

In fact, there wasn’t much of a resentment considering how Tyler saved their village.

Some of the ladies and older people trembled. One of them even held Adam’s arm and tremblingly asked.

"Did he really give us that much? Did you sacrifice something? Tell me, Adam!"

Adam understood the old woman’s concern. She had a beautiful daughter-in-law. She was worried Adam would sell their women for this money.

It was pretty normal. So, he didn’t get angry. He just smiled and said.

"We will fight for him. That’s his only condition. But before that, we need to get stronger."

He raised his head towards others and said.
